  • Aisha (Letitia Wright), a young Nigerian woman seeking asylum in Ireland, is floundering in a maze of social services and bureaucracy. Alone and unwilling to sacrifice her dignity to satisfy the demands of the authorities, she finds an ally in Conor (Josh O’Connor), an employee at her residence home, a local young man with a troubled past of his own. Together they struggle to maintain their tender friendship in the face of Aisha’s increasingly dire predicament and her rapidly diminishing options.
    A Sky Original film, in Cinemas and on Sky Cinema 17th November.

    Latisha Wright has made her role in this film believable as if she truly is Aisha. I am more knowledgeable than before on the issue of why people from other countries must flee their homes and seek asylum elsewhere.

    The whole Nigerian demographic was illegally processed into Ireland at state level under the guise of refugees as a way to for the state to continue its mass immigration campaign with a demographic that also provided a form of American identity politics to push there immigration campaign on those who question it and it's detrimental effects on many Irish and Irish society.
    Never mind the cost and massive amount of social housing stolen to facilitate this crime.

    The Irish government continues to make the same mistakes and then brush those aside who are traumatised... Direct Provision is a small step from Mother & Baby Homes.

    • @jakehiller6444
      @jakehiller6444 2 года назад +8

      Every country has a system for processing refugees and asylum seekers. Where exactly are they supposed to go while their cases are being processed? Meanwhile the women sent to Mother and Baby Homes were Irish and had Irish families but were locked up by the state for no reason other than social stigma. It's not comparable. It's insulting to even compare the two.

      These people are literally given free accomodation, an allowance, free food, free healthcare, free services, free transport etc. In a country with a housing crisis and 10k homeless, people mostly coming from safe countries that aren't warzones like Albania, Georgia, Romania and Nigeria, people who are in reality mostly single men, and despite all theses facts you still manage to become hysterical and illogical over the whole thing

    • @YewrMan

      Edel, can you please explain why you think Direct Provision is a 'small step' from Mother and Baby homes? Is the clergy involved in Ireland's asylum status processing? Was Ireland bound by EU criteria during the mother and baby homes horror?

      It's a good thing. Remember the millions of Irish that fled around the world since the famine, ppl just want opportunity to provide for their families. You seem to be quick to take and slow to give. Have some compassion. It's now time for Ireland to reciprocate. With the irish population ageing faster than the EU average, Ireland needs more young working age ppl from abroad to keep the economy growing.

    This ends up in social media so he loses his job,woman asks for divorce and she gets to keep all his money,the house,the cars,savings in the bank and the kids.
    Husband ends up depressed working at a Taco Bell and living in a Holiday Inn....one day the depression is too much and he just blows his brains out with a 38.
