A nurse friend of mine used this to pack my brown recluse bite. It was deep enough that a pencil eraser would have fit down in to it. He cleaned the wound and repacked it twice a day for over 2 weeks. I can barely tell where the bite was. He really got down in there with a q-tip to clean it each time. It hurt but the result was amazing. (Note - if you get a brown recluse bite you have to go to the clinic to get a shot or the venom will keep dissolving the tissue. Without the shot the wound can become absolutely horrifying.) This comment is not to be considered medical advice.
wotan237 No. What they will do it help absorb drainage and reduce bacterial load. The only thing that heals bed sores is the elimination of pressure along with proper nutrition (protein, zinc, vitamin c)
This has been very Helpful to me in looking for my best Option to help me with Healing my Chronic InSufficiency Ulcer wound on my lower Leg due to Veins that Quit Working When the valves would not close...
Important information to know... as I am trying to get medical help for venous ulcers that I have had for months...Dermatologist I have seen in the past few months only prescribed antibiotic creams, and no other tests were done.. I am in serious pain each day due to these ulcers, but dermatologist doesn't treat... Seeing new dermatologist at medical center next month.. In the interim will be sharing information with my regular doctor and dermatologist about would care.- no one suggested this.

I thought she did an excellent job clearly enunciating and giving the information at a great, professional pace. But I'm also Autistic and have been told numerous times in my life that I'm more robot than female, so you can't win with a lot of people.

What dressing could be used for under arms hidradenitis suppurativa?
How do they compare with hydrocolloid dressings?
Seems alginate is extremely absorbent while hydeocolloids donate moisture.
Thanks
