Fran Mrtks yes, the most of our people don't play turkish Songs. But if they can speak, or like some of their Songs, they play.
But not the whole wedding. That ' s what I see on our weddings

assyrians and turkish people have good relations, in opposit to armenian or kurds
Many people confuse aramaic with armenian.
      In german it called
      aramäer / armenier
      aramäisch / armenisch.
Most of people dont know that these are two completly different ethnics/nations. Only similarity is christianity

It's so sad that an Aramean couple choose to not play songs in their own beautiful language; Aramaic... The language that was spoken by Jesus Christ.
    Long live the Arameans/Syriac/Suryani/Suryoyo people!
Unfortunately, 90% of my people were slaugthered by Turkish government with the help of some Kurdish tribes...

This is a happy and sacred occasion. Please don't bring religion and politics into it. There is a time and a place for everything. Murat Kursun is a Turkish Folk singer who happens to be from Mardin where most Suryani's live happily. They probably enjoy his music and feel partial to their follow Mardinian singer.

@@pineappleringsforeve I have nothing against the singer. You seem to read between the lines here I am afraid. Read again. And yes I do like and listen to Turkish music. But this is an Aramean/Suryoyo wedding. So why name the video with Suryoyo when no Suryoyo music is being played?...

@@gusbuluda It also states it's Turkish too. And once again I point out....most native Turkish Suryanis live or are from Mardin in southern Turkey. The singer Murat Kursun is from Mardin. Hence the reason he is singing at their wedding but in Turkish.
They probably did have music in their own language which is not shown here. If you click on the link you can see the wedding is very diverse, very beautiful and traditionally similar to those ethnic groups living in south eastern Turkey.
