Has almost everything... But the piano is missing in the audio, great but not excellent, the piano arpeggio gave everything to the original son by Tori Amos.
Absolutely, Tori was a demon plating the piano. The amazing part is she taught herself to play and was a child prodigy. The youngest accepted at the Peabody Conservatory and she never learned how to read notes.
Well, if you're a fan of eccentric female singer songwriters with red hair, then boy, are you in for a treat with Florence Welch. I'm coming at this from the other side (no, not that other side). I've been a fan of Florence + the Machine for over a decade, just discovered Tori within the last month (despite being a feminist who grew up in the nineties. Oops. I'd heard of Tori since I was a tween, but never really gave her music a listen until now), and so far she has knocked my socks off. 😁
Until the "man with the golden gun" part (objectively the best part of the song, with the possible exception of the stuttering in the pre-chorus. Fight me), I found this cover to be, honestly, underwhelming. I love the song, I love Florence + the Machine, but I don't like when covers sound too much like the original (unless when performed by a cover band because, well, duh), and I feel like for the most part, that's what this sounded like. But Flo NAILED that bridge and made it her own, and kept it going for the rest of the song. So...eh, this version has the potential to grow on me.
Honestly to an extent, I agree with you. For most of the song it felt like Florence tried to force herself into Tori's singing style and it didn't really fit her. Love it towards the end though, and that's enough to make me appreciate the cover as a whole.
Florence does a pretty good job of the vocals, but the amazing driving piano that Tori powers the original with is totally missing, and that hollows out the song.
@@PwnytailJoe You are spot on. A very good song, and if this was the original and Tori covered it, her's would be better. Either way, the piano ferocity is key. Which in no way detracts from what a fine cover this is.
Redhead witch honoring a redheaded witch. Great cover. Love them both.
Came here to say the same thing.

Same. 🥰
Had the same thought when I first heard F.
Worthy cover. I'd like to see them do this live.
Absolutely gorgeous and haunting rendition - thank you!!!
I absolutely love Tori....and Florence is right up there with her haunting vocals. Wonderful cover 💕
My favorite band covering another favorite artist!? Great cover. ❤💄🌹💋👄👸🏾

Beautiful!! 🌸🌸💗💗
Thank you! Thank you! Last time I went looking for this song it was deleted off youtube.
Wonderful cover🫶 Flo really feels it👌 👑
In love!
I want to see a duet between Tori and Florence.
😍😄😎
She did a pretty good job! :)
Tori amos 💕👏
Niiice one ☝🏽!!!!!
Cornflake Girl/Heavy In Your Arms Mash-Up? I think so...
Sweet pure powered from so many sides.... i love it... this.... zSyzygy.... a duet with these women... live... oh m G.
Has almost everything... But the piano is missing in the audio, great but not excellent, the piano arpeggio gave everything to the original son by Tori Amos.
sure but they nail the song guitar wise
id say everything is better than the original apart from the missing piano

Oh hey! Its great.
Chills ❤
Don't know who Florence is but an admiral cover of one of Tori's best.
get on Florence's music. One of the best decisions you'll ever make!

thanks a million ❤❤❤❤❤
Finally the florence that we used to know
Lovely version, but just not the same without the bad ass piano.
I wish Tori was in everything too... did you just presume her instrament....? That was a joke.
The piano part is possibly my favorite Tori composition. It's very complicated and amazing to watch.
OMG
3:25 ❤
OMG!
My god this cover
Lol who still loves this
My favorite part of the song is always from 2:25 on
I love Florence, but original defo much better. Why these two do not create smtg together? This would be fire,,

Please leave it alone. Tori is on another level.
You're right, it's a level below Florence Welch. Ceremonials is a better album then any album Tori made.
@@Heavy_Hitta_Sucka preach it sis
@@Heavy_Hitta_Sucka whatever love
it's only a cover
I think she did it justice.
Florence does a pretty good job of the vocals, but the amazing driving piano that Tori powers the original with is totally missing, and that hollows out the song.
Too sanitized for my taste. Where is the rawness? Missing is that powerful all-consuming rage that Tori brings to a song.
lacks the soul of the original
You only think that because you heard the original first lol I heard this first and I always thought she made the original
@@lines4822 Not true. There are plenty of covers that outshine the original. This version isn't terrible but I stand by my comment.

Oh, i was wrong. No piano. FML. LOL... Florence, please make a video, all redheads in it.
I think if she sang it in tune it would be better.
