This Ramadan 2015 reminder lecture by Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi discusses:
-Changing of Qiblah from Jerusalem to Makkah in Verse 177: "Righteousness is not defined as praying toward the east or west", ie, this is not how spirituality is measured (without quality, taqwa and khushu')
-Allah describes what makes a good righteous Muslim
-Righteousness is divided into 4 categories:
a) Proper belief (5 of the 6 pillars of eman are mentioned, Allah, angels, day of Judgement, prophets and books)
b) Correct rituals (3 things: i) giving freely of money to relatives/orphans/poor/travelers/beggers/slaves) ii) charity, iii) establish salah, iv) giving zakah
c) Good character by fulfilling promises
d) Internal spirituality via act of patience
