    If anything Havertz reminds me of Thomas Muller. An agent of chaos... He injects quality in surprising ways, in seemingly clumsy body language, but extremely efficient.
    Muller is known for not being the fastest strongest or most anything, but probably one of the fastest decision makers and thinkers in world football. Havertz can be that kind of player.

    The Leverkusen Havertz is resurfacing with Arteta.

    There was a reason why Chels paid 65m for him.

    • @simonsfooties
      @simonsfooties 10 месяцев назад +4

      Havertz is not the kind of player you can buy and he'll just fit right in. You need to have the appropriate system. He's also not the flashiest player so for some people he may not pass the eye test (although he clearly did in Leverkusen), but he's truly a brilliant user of the space

      @@simonsfooties The Havertz of 18/19 was 187cm tall while the Havertz of 23/24 is 193cm tall.
      The leverkusen Havertz doesn't exist anymore and will never come back. A growth spurt at such a late age messes with the reaction time the body movement and the first touch of a player.
      Havertz needed to reinvent himself and to figure out how his new frame works.
      I think he will only get better and better from now.

      None of those 3 played like that; Bergkamp and Cantona were simply the deeper lying striker in a 4-4-2, or the 9.5 as the Italians call it. Certainly not left sided midfielders.
      I'm not sure which Alan Smith you mean but the Arsenal one was an out and out striker whilst the Leeds one was a striker who was then played as some kind of ridiculous midfielder for Man U and Newcastle, where he was a complete nonentity, either way as a player he was nothing like Bergkamp or Cantona.
      The only thing you're correct about is this bloke doesn't know what he's talking about with his ridiculous 8.5 position.

It's the most overrated player ever at the moment and everyone seems to be in denial. I wonder why first Chelsea paid so much money for him and now Arsenal. Haavertz wasn't great for Arsenal in 2023 but jn 2024 he as well as the whole team have destroyed a bunch of shit teams (bottom 3) as well as beat some good teams in an awful run (Newcastle, West Ham, Palace). The Liverpool win was a fluke, all 4 goals were just crazy mishaps. Meanwhile when Arsenal played Liverpool in a normal game they lost 2-0 (FA Cup) and couldn't even muster a shot against Porto. The hype machine is annoying. Havertz is just a regular player who isn't that great. Arsenal payed double his value to get him from a London rival when they already have ESR and Viera. Wasting a CAM on winning back the ball is stupid and for all of Arteta's so-called genius, Arsenal can easily finish this season in 3rd with no trophies. Isn't that exactly what got Wenger canned? Give me a break.
