I really enjoyed this Edwin. As someone that does not play much magic anymore, your play by play commentary really helped me understand why you play they way you did.
My biggest regret from young adulthood has to be letting my ex pressure me into selling my dual lands, and about 50 misc revised/unlim/legends cards. Old school seems fun as hell lol.
Great vid Edwin! It’s interesting to hear your thoughts and see you play simultaneously. Of course you were right about the Tutor, cause it always goes into a recall 🤦🏼♂️ e-v-e-r-y-t-i-m-e Did you manage to win the match (best out of 3)?
Edwin, thanks for posting ! Wanted to ask about the deck pictures at the end vs the deck in the video. They don’t appear to be the same. One is the disco-Troll deck and the other is a copy of “the deck”. What’s up with that? Thanks again!
There was 3 deck images in the video. If you watch it carefully and listen to what I'm saying I describe each one. The deck at the end was Jason Murray's deck, I played against in the finals. The Disco Troll deck is shown earlier in the video and was piloted by Michael Christian. The video of a game is the last game in qualifying rounds before top 8 started.
It would not changed anything... but I personally think the best option... always play the Strip Mine. You've lost 1 turn with the 2-blue-lands threat when you had not counterspell. Nice video.
Yes to my knowledge there is no set upper limit to deck size. But it's a terrible idea to do that, because you can only have 4 copies of nearly any card and your %chance of drawing cards you need drops massively.
When I was little I had an all black deck and I had 4 of every card I liked...so my deck was 100 cards LOL. I didn't realize until just now that it was actually legal. Maybe I knew back then and just forgot. Thanks for the info!

I love videos like this, old school just has that extra appeal to it that is sorely lacking in the new sets/cards. Good stuff.
Great commentary Edwin, really enjoyed seeing the game play out. All the best.
Very enjoyable video Edwin! I absolutely love that Vintage Magic playmat with Wind Waker Link on it!
More of this!! :-)
Nice! NEOS representing
Hey Edwin! Just wondering if youre planning to upload the vod of the GW Deck you built on stream recently. Love the content!

It is!!! Proxy up some cards and try it!
That's actually what I might have to do
Duals are at a low at the moment
Yeah I've heard that from a few places both on the tube and the internet. I might get back a few of them to try and fill the void lol.
Just buy counterfeits and play.

Did he say the deck had to be a minimum of 60? You can run more? Is that a normal magic rule?
