Every time I hear Garrison I am reminded of his great talent.
My children grew up listening to his voice every week on NPR.
GK is my literary hero. Brilliant and prolific.
You conclude correctly. Failure to separate the public from the private
persona sets up for great disillusionment.
Wilson Library had a smoking section until 1987. Augsburg allowed smoking in a few buildings.
His voice, his mind, his words, they're all pure gold :)

I could listen to Garrison Keillor talk all day...and he's just the guy to do it.
Sadly, being in Australia, I never knew about him until recently. Now I am totally infatuated. Thank you, America.
The ABC (australian broadcasting commission) was braodcasting PHC on saturday afternoons way back in the 70's but you had to basically stumble onto it to know about it.
I work as a Page at the New City Library. I also dabble in poetry composition. Thanks GK for your integrity and goodness. I value radio no matter who the voice is.
