  • Leven Links is one of the oldest and unique links golf courses in Scotland dating back to the mid 1800's. Leven is thought to be the very first course in the world to feature 18 tees and 18 separate greens. A traditional links with rolling fairways, many of which are lined by ancient sand dunes, fast putting surfaces, burns and pot bunkers.
A six time Open Championship final qualifying venue, Leven Links has stood the test of time and continues to host many leading amateur events such as The Standard Life Amateur Gold Medal considered to be the oldest amateur championship (1870) in the world including many international matches to this day.
At Leven we have a fairly unique situation with two clubs, Leven Golfing Society and Leven Thistle Golf Club playing over our historical links. For further details visit the website: www.leven-links.com

Played here in 2018 when the British Open was at Carnoustie. Being from Australia it was a totally different experience. I play off around scratch and shot 82 both days I played there. Was windy as hell and makes it super tough. Amazing how far the ball will go with just an iron. The pot bunkers are truly nasty. Favourite shot was hitting into the 18th green. Spoke to a local there who said Tommy Fleetwood had shot -10 there a few weeks before I played, couldn't believe that is even possible around there after playing!

Fantastic. I grew up in the houses over looking the 16 fairway. Jim Parker
