You don't look into why it's free. Do they scrape your code - is there an agreement that you can opt out of sending your data? Free lunches usually come with catches
@@1littlecoder AI can use any available code for training. Even if yours is just another piece of code jn a quadrillion, they can still have use for it. I'm not saying that's what they are doing here, but your reasoning for them not doing it is at best naiive.
What does 2000 completions mean? Is it the complete code block on one prompt equals 1 single completion? And what are the 50 chat completions? How is it calculated?
I think it basically works like two different prompts, one for code completion and the other for chat. That way you don't use the chat for something else since Claude 3.5 Sonnet is pretty expensive and Microsoft is paying Anthropic everytime you use their API endpoint
The problem is that currently not any other product ( Cursor / Windsurf) has addressed the AI Agent not making like a maniac, unauthorised changes to the code when you promt. The bigger the project, the more stupid unauthorised changes to the code!
That is definitely one of the bigger concerns which I also mentioned here 2:48 ruclips.net/video/jH-8-jOoYyU/видео.html I think the bigger problem is as the context feeling grows, it starts making frantic changes
I think you just have to get used to the thought AI isn't replacement for your own brain. Read through what it gave you, take parts you need \ rewrite his stuff, ask it to change things you don't want. I don't use copilot, I'm using gemini for now, it doesn't change my code, it provides me code - most if the times in a complex project code isn't perfect, you have to change it in some way. Even when you think everything works perfectly - it is still worth reading through and thinking if there's something worth changing - performance-wise or maybe error handling or maybe it did good for what you asked for, but it's not future proof, while you'll need to expand on that later...there's almost always something. I get it, sometimes AI performs so quick across multiple files it's easier to just let it do it's thing and it often works, so it feels right to just let it be, but also please don't, cause you're gonna end up in a situation where you don't understand wtf is going on in your code lol
Did you record the audio slightly differently for this? You sound a little different here. Not better/worse just different. But it's still your regular excellent video content! Thank you!
@1littlecoder yes youre right, supermaven is acquired by cursor, cursor itself want the best ai assistant, and until now no one can beat supermaven for its speed
Skip the video, get the copilot here - github.com/copilot
Thanks for listening to the feedback and avoiding unecessary effects and sounds. We are here for the information you provide.
Thank you. I'm always open for feedback. But to be honest, sometimes those effects also matter but I'm trying to learn how to balance both
They need more training data???
exactly
I am a windsurf fan myself
Mee too 😊
Sonnet 3.5 the king
bro it sucks
windsurf is the best ..
Inferior experience compared to cursor
50 chats per month kinda funny.
You don't look into why it's free.

I think they have enough code on github, I'm not sure if they'd benefit anything from my code!

what about Webstorm ide users???
This Claude 3.5 sonnet version provided is very poor. 😫
is copilot edits also included? at least it could edit multiple files
Looks Awesome....I'm not sure how this compares to Cursor or Cline though....
Copilot came much earlier than Cursor, so definitely not bad. But it'd be nice to do a comparison!

It was the same kit, I was a bit sick with some throat issues so maybe that got reflected. I'll re-listen to see what's different!
@1littlecoder ah, well I wish you a speedy recovery
thank you very much!
Monopoly alert! Let live the cursor also. We need competition to be fair.
what are you talking about, there are lots of different plugins you can use in VSCode alone, it's not even close to monopoly.
Dear Desi DevBros, If you are into ETL, Reporting, ETL Testing or some Developer working on Drag Drop Tools, pls prepare yourselves mentally.
It would be nice if you do an extensive tutorial. BTW great vid as always.
Another tool, free by the way. Thank you
Yesterday i installed Cursor and today they realised it😂
I just tested it. It is of no match to cursor.
Curious where is it lacking?
I use cody, but still i will add it to my arsenal..
too late microsoft
tutorial
if i have pro account and my annual subscripption is expiring in a week, i should cancel it. right.?
still prefer supermaven free plan
They got acquired by cursor right?
