You're pronouncing her name pretty good Jennifer! 1st song here, at 14yo Diana took part in an amazing Russian project "You're Super!" for abandoned/disadvantaged children (because Diana spent time in an orphanage) The 1st song she performed shocked the judges and audience so much, it went viral. February 10, 2018 "Dernière Danse" in French! Yes, you hit it on the head when you said *her voice speaks to you on a primal level!*
2nd song "Crow" Diana was 18yo and No, the extremely low tone in between her singing is a backing vocalist, a guy called Vlad. However, I suspect Diana could do it if it was required? 😊 YES, it's all Diana's natural hair as far as the length goes. She has a lot of other stuff wound in there for this performance though. YES, Diana has written LOTS of songs and poems, some of which have been released already.

To answer most of your main questions:
1) Your pronunciation of “Diana Ankudinova” is fairly close (yes, closer than most!). The first name, spot-on, but the last name tends go be a real struggle for most non-Russian-speakers. For one thing, the emphasis goes on the third syllable (ahn-koo-DEE-na-va) while most are inclined to say “ahn-koo-dee-NO-va”. It’s a bit unnatural to English speakers, but that’s just how you say it. Moreover, the “o” in “nova” makes more of an “a” vowel sound, which many wouldn’t pick up on unless they heard her name pronounced very slowly. Generally though, you don’t need to worry about getting it 100% correct as we know who you’re talking about anyway (lol)
2) Yes, there was a male backup singer for “Crow” making those low tones. She could probably do it herself though, as it’s not uncommon to hear her slip into baritone range. And yes, her hair is natural- it’s always been super long. Most of the time you’ll see it in a ponytail of some sort.
3) Diana has addressed the question of singing Cher’s songs before. Apparently she is not a particular fan of her music and hasn’t expressed a desire to sing any of her songs. To my knowledge, she has only performed 1 song of Cher’s, a few years ago. I’m sure someone will have that information ready in the comments
Side note, perhaps you’d be interested to hear the full version of the first song (“Derniere Danse”/“Last Dance”), without any judge stuff, for your own viewing pleasure. Diana has performed it a few dozen times over the years; it’s considered one of her trademark songs. I prefer the performances from when she is generally older than in this clip. However, what you watched is what initially made her famous in Russia at 14 years old! Just look at the faces of those judges! Amazingly, she hasn’t lost any of the emotional integrity of the song in the 5 years since this first performance.

In an aftermath video after her win on this show she said that the low tone on the second song "Crow" is a backing vocalist, in earlier editions of the performance the song had extended backing vocals both from a male and a female but they decided to let Diana take all the vocals except that part.
These are her natural hair, they reach below her waist.

So much fear, pain, love and passion ... Diana makes us feel all of this. Diana can't speak French but she loves the sound of the French language and singing some songs in French.
The song is about the human being who is looking for his place in this world, who feels 'different' or who is made to feel 'different'. It's about the sadness and sweetness of life on this quest. The song also deals with the emotions of a young immigrant in Paris who struggles with racism and discrimination on a day-to-day basis. And she sings that in order to endure the pain, you always have to carry a little bit of hope and optimism.
Music and Lyrics written by Indila (*1984, of Algerian descent but also Cambodian, Egyptian and Indian) is a French R&B singer, songwriter. 'Derniere Danse' was the first single from her debut album 'Mini World' in 2014.

It all started with this song. Diana herself said it's her calling card. That was Diana’s first song in the unique competition 'You are Super' 2018 (age 14).
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to RUclips and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship.
Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers.
