Did anyone else yell out CLOSE THE DOOR! Everytime someone went into a building and left the door open?

You can actually avoid cutting Dylan's hand AND not get him infected.
If you "Leave Bags" in Chapter 1 with Abi and Emma and don't break in, Kaitlyn, Nick and Abi will take a long time to break in and distracts the werewolf on top of the roof.
This causes Ryan to go OUT of the radio hut to take on the werewolf with his shotgun until Dylan uses the high pitched sound.
Since everyone shot Dylan's hand off, I thought I'd quickly explain the different events that can occur. You can prevent it by not breaking into the cabin with Abi at the beginning of the game. The group outside isn't able to get to safety and the entire scene plays out differently. Dylan never gets bit. Also, using the chainsaw prevents Dylan from getting infected whereas the shotgun does not.
Consequently, not breaking into the cabin and getting the teddy bear can cause Kaitlyn to get killed. She can throw it into the freezer as a decoy and lock the werewolf in it if you don't choose to fight it or don't get the silver shotgun shell. IDK if anyone from KF will see this but it is interesting how much one decision with Abi alters the game.
I love how if you follow your horror instincts you can keep characters alive.
I love that the chainsaw says “groovy” when you use it to cut Dylan’s hand off
Did anyone else feel like Brenda Song didn't get much shine here? Like playable wise.
The game absolutely tips its hand early between Moonlight by Ariana Grande, Fly Me To The Moon, and the college being called Landis University all in the first 20 minutes

would appreciate if you would stick to character names, its confusing to keep track when you mention for example "Laura, Skyler, Brenda" in the same sentence just for me to get confused if i missed characters or so, not everyone knows the actors names^^

I liked Until Dawns Epilogue better and prefer it’s “Don’t Move” system with the controller much more as it feels way more intense and immersive… but other than that I liked everything about the Quarry better
It’s weird that they gave you the deluxe version with rewind enabled from the start. If you buy the regular version Death Rewind doesn’t unlock until after your first playthrough. I wonder how much that changed how you all played. Once you’ve beaten the game “Death Rewind” is just a chapter select, which feels like it makes more sense for the game.

I got the Deluxe and chose to not do it my first time thorough it.
I think the werewolf encountered at the scrapyard is actually Silas since the location is supposedly a mile or so away from the camp. I’m not sure if the map in Chris's surveillance room shows these locations, but my story spider sense would put it close to where you'd encounter the burned down sideshow remnants.
I'm sad. Brenda Song died for me during the stand off too. I aimed for a bit, hit the werewolf in the shoulder, but he killed me.
I trusted the hunters after the first interaction. So I was never afraid of them and missed quick time events on purpose for them to notice me
I fucked up on my playthrough a lot, and wasn’t happy with a lot of the choices I made. I still had a lot of fun with it though. I didn’t have the deluxe edition and no rewinds as well….
I didn’t shoot Nick when he turned in the pool house, Abi dead.
I didn’t shoot werewolf Chris when Ryan and Laura fell down, for some reason I thought the werewolf might be Nick or something, didn’t shoot. Ryan dead, Travis and Laura killed each other.
When Ryan and Caitlyn were against Caleb werewolf, I stuffed up, Ryan dead, then stuffed up again Caitlyn dead.
I think Emma might have killed Max, Emma survived, and so did Jacob.
Oh yeah, I fucked up and let Laura kill Nick also….
I’ve since replayed it from the start, as I missed a Tarot card in the second chapter, and did it so everyone survived, and I killed the entire Hackett family for the trophy. Killed the White Wolf as well. I also had Emma turn into a werewolf, but she still lived. When the kids check the van, she is a werewolf then. Emma and Jacob find each other in the last chapter in the woods, and he confesses to her it’s all his fault cuz he sabotaged the van.
Now to play with all of the characters turning and dying 🫣

As someone who knows nothing about movies or actors, trying to figure out who yall were talking about was a journey haha.
I made it worth everyone alive but only because I used all 3 rewinds. Ryan died because I totally whiffed my shot, but I used rewind. Jacob died because I didn’t get him out off the cage and then the power went out opening both doors, but I rewound. And the dumbest one, Max died cause I swam back to land, almost didn’t rewind that one but felt bad for Laura. Told myself anyone who died after that was just too bad, but made all the right decisions phew
My goal was to keep Alex Dunphy alive to the end.
Most of my deaths occurred at the Hackett house.
The cut scenes in the jail cell were incredible. I was wondering if they were CGI or FMV.
I liked all the kids alot, and I agree about their character development. Everybody gets a little arc, except for Kaitlyn, I guess. (And she was my favorite)
In my playthrough, I missed my shot at the end and she got mauled.
I lost Jacob in the cell when I couldnt solve that damn puzzle.
I didn’t accept Laura biting me, so Ryan bled out from his knife wound.
Laura and Sherriff Travis killed each other.
Dylan, Abby, and Emma survived.
I have no clue what happend to Max...
Nick and Chris live on as werewolves. The Curse remains...
Ik this was 9 months ago, but max will have just stayed on the island as a werewolf

I always killed off Jacob. He's to blame for the entire night happening 🤣. Made everyone mean to him, especially Emma.
Where Blessing says he hesitated with raising the gun at the end to kill the White Wolf, this is actually the thing to do, to get the trophy to kill all of the Hackett family and still have all survive, you then have to fail the QuickTime event when Travis Hackett grabs the gun. This causes Travis to get shoot (all Hacketts get kill, he also need to die). You then can shoot the White Wolf, and everyone can still survive.
I made it with only max dying. That's ok though I figure. He lost his girl to Ryan probably, and he wasn't going to college. He was expendable

I feel like there wasn’t much resolution on any of the relationships formed throughout the game, would’ve loved for a conversation between Emma and Jacob, Dylan and Ryan, and especially after all the trauma abi and nick
I chainsawed cause they referenced Evil Dead in the beginning.
Glad y'all it felt it was as good as Until Dawn - cuz they're right, the only thing better is the name - and the police interview epilogues. But the characters, tech, and setting is so much better in The Quarry.

Just beta the game and I was very close to letting Jacob die...the event is kinda his fault, he got overly emotional way to much and then while he's trying to go after Emma, he ditches her when I danger multiple times

If I had rewind available from the start and had been brought back as far as Greg did I probably would have stopped playing the game.

Sounds like they had the deluxe version, which gives you the few death rewinds on your first play through. Normal version of game you don’t have it until you finish the game once

I beat it this morning and was very happy. Freakiest werewolves I've ever seen. I was one of the people that thought and wished Until Dawn was gonna end up being about werewolves but the wendigos were so cool i couldn't be mad

I wish you guys would refer to the characters as their actual names in the game instead of saying their irl name bc it’s confusing and hard to follow who you guys are talking about.
