    Thank you again Olga. I remembered making a summer blouse 👚 with this design when I was 11 years old. Now I am in my 60. However, I had 3 more rows, one row in single crochet after the 3 double crochet row, and shells added on the 3rd double crochet of the next row followed by a single crochet row, and to repeat the pattern again. It was a pretty top. The colour was aqua. Thank you again Crochet Queen 👸!!!🙏😊!

      Sounds like a beautiful summer blouse; aqua is such a delicate color, plus lacy design, must've been very pretty. Thank you for sharing your memories! I enjoyed reading your comment!

      @@OlgaPoltava yes you should do it cause can’t remember the calculation of the stiches . Forgot to say on top of the shells there were picots and the next rows consisted in chains and double crochet in between 2 picots to start the 1st 4 double crochets + 1 chain space in between them followed by shell row. I encourage you to try it. I learned this design from my grandmother who picked it up from her Mom.
      Forgot to tell you my Mommy was not interested to knit or crochet 🧶 her passion was Opera she was both Alto/and Soprano 😊

    Love this pattern. It is so versatile. Since you work into the chain 3 space all the time you can switch it up. I did this in a prayer shawl and I did 3 treble crochet, chain 3 with a 1/2 dc instead of the 3dc, chain 3, sc. it came out great and worked up very fast. Looks even lacier. May do this again but with puff stitch to make it flowers. Thank you, thank, thank you. I love all your patterns and get a lot of compliments on my shawls. You are wonderful 💕

    Thanks for the great pattern and video. I came to realize that the first row needs to have an odd number of chains spaces in order to begin and end with a 3dc group. Stay well.

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  3 года назад +1

      That's right! That's why the starting chain must be a multiple of 8, plus 5. The multiple of 8 will give you an even number of chain spaces, and additional 5 chains will give you one extra chain space, making the total amount of chain spaces odd.
      Thank you for your comment, and you too stay well and safe! 💕🤗

    Beautiful video as always. For a rectangular shawl how many chains would I have to put or in inches what is the measure? Thanks in advance for your answer Olga.

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  4 года назад

      Depends how wide you want to make your rectangular shawl. You can start with a chain of your desired length (which would be the width of your shawl), then count the chains and make sure the number you have is divisible by 8, and add 5 more chains.

  • @susanmason9467

    This stitch would be pretty done in a rectangular shawl.

    I am trying to make this in a circle, but cant figure it out. I'm using a out 220 changes. How can I end a d begin my row? Please help me! A tone one!!

    • @OlgaPoltava
      @OlgaPoltava  3 года назад

      Hi, I'm sorry I'm getting replying to your comment just now. Do you mean you want to crochet it in the round? In that case, the starting chain must be a multiple of 8.
      220 is not a multiple of 8, that's why it didn't work out.
      You should use either 216 or 224.
