The Dune is perfect for carry in NYC. It's illegal to carry a folder, you can't leave any part visible incl the clip, and it can't have a blade over 4". The Dune is a fixed, under the shirt, 3.8" blade.
Been using my Kershaw Leek composite blackwash for 3 years now. I LOVE IT! I just ordered 3 new knives this week. I got the Kershaw Dune, Kershaw dividend 2020, and the CRKT Minimalist black drop. I cant wait to undox and review them.
I used to carry a necker, but lately as a backup to my Zero Tolerance ZT0350TS with VZ Grips Stipple Scales, I've been running a Shiv Works Clinch Pick diagonally to the left of my AIWB Glock 34.3 with RMR and Surefire X300u/b inba Tier1Concealed Axis Elite Light Bearing. The knife tucks in nicely to the profile of the mag carrier of the holster so nothing prints at all and it can be drawn from a confined/seated position(its designed intention). This dune was just one of those "that looks cool" little knives when I was picking up bedding at Tractor Supply 😂
Ya know, I think Frankie was right about them new Pittsburgh calipers. The older model was better! :) I have been carrying a Bark River Bravo Necker, or a PSK, but not around my neck, I use a pocket sheath.for them.
Dune is damn good looking low quality knife! I have Minimalist as well, the handle feels good and sheath is good, I think even Frankie can feel it's all the way in
I do edc a fixed blade every so often but never a neck knife. I usually don't wear my shirts tucked in so it just goes over the sheath. And most neck knives make poor edc knives imo, the grips are too small and goofy and the whole point of carry a small fixed blade is for the comfortable grip. It'd be like carrying an edc folder that needs to he sheath carried.
I where a neck knife everyday. Using it depends on what knife I have. If its for defense then it just hides under my shirt. If it's utility then I use it a lot. I love the TOPS ALRT. It's a great little kiridashi type knife. I use it a ton. Another of my favorite neck knives is the Nemisis 2-zero (pocket protector). I've had it for years. It's a fantastic neck knife. It's very lite, cpm154, titanium clip and, very well made. Great vids! Keep it up! 👊🏼
I do not use a neck knife in the spring, summer,or fall. Although during the winter when I work outside with gloves on it becomes my #1 used knife my favorite so far is the tops msk.
It's funny that in movie Dune, they decided to make knives of Atreides like that - very geometrical tanto with black blade and straight handle. And knife was long before movie.
I wear. My kneck knife 100percent all the time. Except while I did my mri. I do use it daily. Open cheese, open boxes, other foods. Cut foods all around. I need one with a longer blade for that tho. May get a essee
I used to carry a neck knife almost everyday, but then I got worried about the legality of carrying a neck knife in Ohio. I couldn't find any straightforward answer to whether it's legal or not. I carried the Boker Vox Mega Mini, and the Gavko Sharknife. I need to find out whether I can carry them again.
I carry a neck knife everyday even though I don't use it much i keep a small flashlight attached to it as well that I do use all the time. I'm trying a Carbon fiber Boker Plus Dog tag neck knife at the moment because it's really small and I'm into carbon fiber at the moment.
I had 2 one with a karambit style and another with a spear point (both were cheap and I was about 14 and had little to no idea what a good knife was and was still in the “oh shit that looks cool I need it” stage of my life
My favorite necker is my fake D2 Izula copy with a kydex sheath from aliexpress, I have had it 2 years & worn it twice (fishing) cos NZ knife laws suck. I also have a fake CS secret edge that's pretty cool Don't hate on me for buying knock offs; I've got 2 teenage daughters a bulldog, a wife & a manky cat to support. sometimes. it's clones or nothing Good knives are very expensive down under & I need a regular fix like any red blooded knife man (or red blooded knife woman Frankie) Merry Christmas everyone Godspeed
Hey Birdshot I put a new video up that has a couple of Cool Bird drawings From BladeHq including one of yours and Has an Overview of the Kubey KU159B it's over long so the actual knife is at 6:34 The Bird drawings are at the beginning though.
get the kershaw secret agent instead at least its 8cr13mov because 3cr is the same as 420j2 that they use for knife liners -i have been wearing an outdoor edge le duck nech knife its really decent and 8cr13mov
WOW , 3cr , total garbage , they usually use it for the handles on steel frame lock knives . The CS Spike is made out of 4116 steel , and that's like a super steel compared to 3cr and for only $5 more , reg.price , its well worth it .
You guys have the coolest channel. I have like zero interest in neck knives, but now i want a kershaw dune... It is cool looking. Who cares how useful it is right? Then i want to make some carbon fiber scales for it lol. waste of time. but its neat.
I was looking at this one, the 3cr kinda made me look elsewhere. Went with a cold steel safe maker2 instead. I also have the crkt obake and skoshi love them all. Cheers 🥂
@@BirdShotIV Yep. I carry a multitool and a pocket knife (Kane Crooked River Rat 1 etc) every day because the pocket knife is not easily seen and the multitool is perfectly legal. We can only carry a knife for work, camping or other relevant tasks. If you're searched on the street and they find a knife, especially a fixed blade or large folder, you will most likely be charged with carrying an offensive weapon. Having said that, I've carried a sheath folder or pocket folder for most years since 1982 and have never been searched. Lost one at airport security though.
not much of a neck knifer instead I opt for the CRKT Obake with the sheath system it has it works well (if you got the right pants and don't tuck-in your shirt) for that emergency backup self defense

Does it carry well as a necklace?
The spice must flow!

Bought a S.P.E.W. a few weeks ago as my first edc fixed blade. It has been an awesome knife to carry around the house and do food prep
Got my father's spew when he passed. It wasn't old then and isn't now. Works fantastic
Ya know, I think Frankie was right about them new Pittsburgh calipers. The older model was better! :) I have been carrying a Bark River Bravo Necker, or a PSK, but not around my neck, I use a pocket sheath.for them.
That's steel is just fine it's a purpose-built self defense knife. It will do the job it was made for.
The only “neck knife” I have is the hummingbird. And that’s only because I put it on a necklace for a while.
The sharpie he used to sign the box makes it look like "Al Mar II" lol...
Dune is damn good looking low quality knife! I have Minimalist as well, the handle feels good and sheath is good, I think even Frankie can feel it's all the way in
Thanks for the review I'm finally sold on buying it
thank you Anthony!

Agreed, I carried one for a week or so and mostly just felt silly.
I wear that exact same minimalist every day. Gets more use than any other knife. Mostly because they all rotate but the minimalist is always on.

Some one should send that all neck guy from Facebook a full sized Bowie for his neck
It's funny that in movie Dune, they decided to make knives of Atreides like that - very geometrical tanto with black blade and straight handle. And knife was long before movie.
i have carried a kershaw skyline fixed blade as a neck knife for over a year and use it every day almost and love it
that would be a good one, always been tempted
beaux thomas anything that has kershaw and skyline in it is going to be a bad knife
I wear. My kneck knife 100percent all the time. Except while I did my mri. I do use it daily. Open cheese, open boxes, other foods. Cut foods all around. I need one with a longer blade for that tho. May get a essee
It’s a nice covert back up neck knife (for a geisha 😉)
I used to wear a neck knife but I started making my own blades and made a small fixed blade to wear to the right of my belt buckle horizontally.
nice! even better lol
This would be a crappy EDC necker, but I have one in my glove box in case I want a neck knife for self defense.

BladeHq sales a neck sheath for the Boker Kalishnakof and the Mini so I'v tried both as neck knives the Mini auto works amazing as a neck carry.
I had 2 one with a karambit style and another with a spear point (both were cheap and I was about 14 and had little to no idea what a good knife was and was still in the “oh shit that looks cool I need it” stage of my life
I carry fixed blades neck knives or edc sized fixed blades I usually like to have at least 2 to 4 knives usually at least one is a fixed blade
best has to be the mini tac bowie
just better for utility, defense as it's better at slashing but pokes well enough too, and it's cheap
I didn't like how thin the handle is but i used to keep mine under my visor cover as a backup in case i forgot a knife.
My favorite necker is my fake D2 Izula copy with a kydex sheath from aliexpress, I have had it 2 years & worn it twice (fishing) cos NZ knife laws suck. I also have a fake CS secret edge that's pretty cool

Aye frankie I've been collecting knifes for awhile and haven't gotten a neck knife yet maybe you could send one that you like the least
Hi Guys! Yep. Comes with lanyard.
hey thanks Sparrow!
Blade Show 2019?
What about the Benchmade Altitude or the Spyderco Panchenko Dog Tag?
You guys have the coolest channel. I have like zero interest in neck knives, but now i want a kershaw dune... It is cool looking. Who cares how useful it is right? Then i want to make some carbon fiber scales for it lol. waste of time. but its neat.
thank you for the support!

Thanks for video!!! Greetings from Poland!!! :)
haha we appreciate it
On picture Kershaw dune look big knife and very cool, but when you take him in hand he look like kitchen knife)))
I wear the tangram Brevis and butthead! Where is yours!?!? I know yall have one!
Hey y'all I see my minimalist bowie on the table. Lol
I know a lot about knives... I'm that a sharp one so is that oh look at that so cool
I feel like this knife would be better for a female user because the handle is so thin. We'd probably have an easier time gripping it XD
If we Aussies wore a neck knife (I nearly wrote knekknife) we'd have special ops (swat) all over us in 5 minutes LOL
jeez
