This was nice, especially since we are reading through and discussing Revelation at a group in my church. I go to the Church of Sweden, which used to be the State Church, which I was baptized and confirmed in, but left 'cause I didn't really consider myself a christian. What's ironic is that now that I've started to seriously consider christianity, they seem to have dumped Traditional Christianity and the Gospel of Christ for the gospel of LGBTQ+. I go to my church just to get some spiritual, and they encourage everyone to to get involved in the service there, so I often greet people welcome at the beginning or read a passage from the Bible or something. If you want to picture the Sweden of today, imagine hell frozen over and the Church of Sweden is pretty much that on steroids. I'm not trying to be disrespectful and have actually had a talk about this with the priest their, who is a lesbian woman. She seems to be honest in her faith, but I don't understand how she can even square these things in her own head. Please pray for me! I suffer from chronic pain and had a daughter last year and that and handling all of my own shit was too much for the relationship with her mother to take. We are still on the same page when it comes to me being there in my daughters life though. 'nuff said Greetings from Sweden!

Hi Brandy! I know ALOT of people who agree with your view. About 70% of people who claim Christianity don't go. I just want to tell you I am fully convinced through God's word its not what he wants for you. The apostles met together often and made it an important point for new followers to meet together. Often times the enemy wants you alone. I know this by personal experience and mistakes I've made. Just look through the new and old testament to see how important meeting together was. A few verses. Hebrews 10:24-25 24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near. Matthew 18:20 For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” Psalm 133:1 A Song of Ascents. Of David. 133:1 Behold, how good and pleasant it is when brothers dwell in unity! I dont believe you are a "bad Christian" since you used the word "good Christian" and I'm not looking to argue. I just urge you to pray about your preconceived idea. I dont think meeting together is layed out as an option but as an instruction and good thing full of blessings from God. A church family can be closer that a real family if they are bible based. Find a REAL church. With real vulnerable people who are open to one another. There are churches to avoid you may not find it on your first try. Just please pray about it.
