It’s hard to describe just how good these two played. Yet they made it look so easy. From two of the greatest to ever play. What a pleasure to watch. Actually kind of glad they halved because neither man deserved to lose. Possibly the greatest match play in history

From two of the greatest to ever play? Sergio Garcia certainly would not be in the top 50 of all time. The only time he has ever really shined is at the Ryder cup. One major victory and that’s it. Nothing against you personally you’re certainly entitled to your opinion, but the statistics do not back up your statement. Not to mention the fact he is one of the least liked players of all time.

Just incredible. What's pretty much as incredible is to see Sergio play like this, and on away soil, and against Phil, and see that he has only won one major. He's had a tremendous career and everyone knows that, but boy he had the game to win so many more majors than one.

Sergio Garcia has, arguably, been the best ball striker on the tour for years. It has been his putter that has prevented him from winning more, and more majors. Putting was not his problem on this day. Both players had their “A” game and it was a joy to watch!

Sad that these 2 guys will probably never get an opportunity to captain Ryder Cup teams ether now that they’ll both be joining the LIV. Guys like Poulter and Westwood too. It’s a shame that they all will have to give up their memberships to the R&A and PGA to go to that new league. They all deserved that honor of captaincy!

I like how when Phil Mickelson's putt barely missed, On hole 5, The announcer said it was a poor read.. No it wasn't lol.. it barely missed.. He just didn't have enough speed on it.. i would consider a poor read to be missing the hole a hole foot or two....
Also, on hole 12 it was cool to see Sergio point his finger down to the ground suggesting a drained putt, when Phil putted And made the putt

It’s quite possible that Phil’s 2 best rounds of golf ever were this match and final round of the Open n 2016….and he didn’t win either! (Of course final round Muirfield 2013 is also one of his best days)
