I am a little late to the giveaway but still kinda want to tell about my reading journey or should I say mini walk. I am a law student who's just developing a habit of reading. It started as a productive way to graze through the lockdown but the moment i started reading, i got so locked in, that i have to read everyday now. Its really very satisfying.
I've only a couple of books so far. Non-fiction finance books (Rich dad poor dad and The Warren Buffet way) but have ordered 5 more self help books as I'm starting to enjoy the process. I have been a slow reader so far as I'm reading the books cover to cover and highlighting almost everything.
Getting a kindle would've been really good as i would have brought it myself if i could have. It would be great at gathering all the positives i would have found in the book, helping me to really use them; plus would be cheaper in the long run as physical copies cost more and occupy alot of space.
BTW, Very recently found your channel. Thoroughly impressed with your content. Idolizing you and learning something new everyday which might help me become a better person after all. Going to start investing as soon as i get my PAN Card. Thankyou😊

This is Ramesh, I am 64 year old, grandfather of 4, widower. I never used to read anything expect the newspaper but since my best friend my wife passed away, reading has become my new best friend. It makes me feel less lonely and better about myself. Ankur Warikoo strategy of reading books
    0:55 1. Reads only non-fiction
1:33 2. Read on digital format
    2:22 3. Reads 30-45 minutes everyday
2:50 4. Reads only in morning not before going to bed
3:35 5. Skim a lot(through words, sentences and even pages) but don't recommend for beginners
4:38 6. Don't finish all of his books
5:55 7. Highlights like crazy each and every point which strikes him.
    8:00 8. Retention level 1: Writing
Make a note on how to apply it on life, business
8:20 9. Retention level 2: Reading the notes again
Come back to this note after one month read again and check where I am in my life journey through note .
12:17 10. Don't read multiple books at the same time
Your one subscribe count will motivate me a lot :)

Hello! I'm Deeksha. I'm a 3rd year engineering student specializing in Electronics and Communication. Well, I was an avid reader until my 12th grade. I used to read like 3 books a week. But then, I'm not sure what happened but that habit just slipped away. I was trying really hard to get back to it but it was getting increasingly difficult to do so. And then, recently, I came across one of your videos and how you said that it was in fact, the responsibility of the book to gain our attention, that brought in some relief to me and I stopped beating myself up. I also watched another video of yours where you recommended this book, 'Rich Dad, Poor Dad'. I downloaded an e-version on my laptop, and started reading it. I'm so happy to let you know that, you've made my last 3 days so productive and I'm so grateful for that. This kinda made me realise, I still got it, you know. I really wanted to thank you. So from the bottom of my heart, Thank you! ❤
A kindle would definitely encourage me to go on. A kindle coming from you, would hold a special place because, it was you who got me back into my habit of reading that I lost years ago :)

Extremely happy to see a kindle being given away :D
My only suggestion to whoever gets a Kindle, anyone who owns one (or even reads books on their phone), buy the ebooks you will be reading, do not let the Kindle be an excuse to pirate books, someone has spent a lot of hard work writing those, they deserve to be well compensated.

    Everything in a gist:
Highlight important things, make notes for you can apply those in your life. Boomerang a mail to yourself out add to calendar to revisit the notes a month after making them and think of it makes changes in your life. If it really does, add them to your re read list, and read that book every year in your life.

"It is the book's responsibility to earn my attention as much as it is my responsibility to give the books its attention."
This is one of the thing that I really wanted someone to tell me. I am glad you did. Thank you 🙏🏻
I am a software engineer and I read one book per month since a year now. I am someone who prefers reading self-help books. One of the things reading introduced me to is minimalism and I can proudly say that I am minimalist. So being a minimalist I do not buy books, I rather rent it out for a month because I don't think I want to create unnecessary physical clutter. If I get a Kindle I think it will be very feasible for me to bookmark all those lines that I would want to reflect upon since highlighting on those rented books aren't allowed and I end up noting them down in different places.
So I believe having a Kindle can actually sort a lot of things for me.

I am a “Lifelong learner”. Wanted my life to be rich, rich with experience. I wanted to live multiple lives which I feel could happen by grabbing an autobiography and then growing with the protagonist, learning from his mistakes, absorbing wisdom. I started with a fiction book and then it’s only recently that I started a non-fiction read, and I am loving it, wondering why I didn't start it already. Someday in the future I want to touch many lives by writing a book maybe.

Hey I am a 17years old boy. I have read almost 4 books. The purpose that drives me to reading is to become a millionair at an early stage. And I feel that books would help me to achieve that goal.
And there is one quote that inspires me a lot to read the books and that is of Chanakya
'Learn from the mistakes of others you can't live long to make them all by yourself'
I feel that books has those people's experiences that have put their whole life in one genre and we could learn from their mistakes and make our life better.

    Hi Ankur
I'm Anjana. Reading for me has always been a very scary affair. I was so scared of reading that I had started to believe, I have lazy eyes.
This year I tried to make a change in my life and the first step for me was to overcome my fear so I searched online for recommendations and came across your video and got myself few books. This time it felt different cause I was not reading it as one of my textbooks. This time I started my journey as a little kid who is just curious to know what's inside and Learn something new. For the first time I finished book and now I'm so excited to read more and more. I'm not writing this for the kindle. Rather it's more like feedback from my side to let you know how much of a deep impact your video someone's life.
I wanna thank you for providing with that little push and courage that needed to start.

Hi Ankur, I am Siddharth Gupta, a final year engineering student doing a major in Computer Science. I am a BEGINNER reader. I want to read more because reading is the best way to become better at a language, and it also helps in developing creative thoughts. However, the lack of resources has limited me from doing so because purchasing a hard copy for every book is not so affordable for me.
Kindle will help me in becoming a regular reader. It will also help me in becoming better version of myself by applying the highlighted important thoughts in the real life.
Thank you very much for your wonderful videos.

    Hey Ankur Sir🥰!!
    Hope your doing well❤️,
You don't know me. I'm Sakshi from Mumbai. I'm a 17 yr old girl who loves speaking and debating!!! Currently I'm in 11th grade. Since childhood I was not much fond of reading but as I grew older I realised reading is really important, and so after my board exams I started reading. The very first book which I read was "Design you Destiny" by Denny Joseph!!! I'll highly recommend all who are in 20s to read that book! I got this book as a token of appreciation from my school and randomly I started reading it! Frankly speaking, I was not consistent for 1-2 weeks but as I started reading it I realised that this book is for meant for me cos I could really relate in with my life! You won't believe but I genuinely cried after reading few pgs. as I felt those words deeply!!!! After that incident I started reading a lot of books.
These are the books which I read!
1)"Design your destiny" by Denny Joseph.
2)"what matter most in life" by Sajith Cyriac
3)"Be at your best" by James Aril.
4)"Think and grow rich" by Nipoleon Hill
5)"Rich dad poor dad" by Robert kiyosaki( have listened the Audio of this book as its a bit costly!)
And now currently I've started reading "How to win and influence people" by Dale Carnegie!
I don't know whether I'll be winner or not but I hope I've inspired someone from my story to read books!❤️
Thankyou sir! See you at Friday night's!✌️❣️

    Hi Ankur Sir🙂,
( I have highlighted the important keywords of my message. This is my first RUclips comment and I really don’t know if highlighting would be good or not; so please bear with me😅)
I am *Aditya Kendre* and I am a first year *student* at *IIT Bombay* . I am from Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
I am at an *intermediate stage of reading* now and I generally read *one book per 1.5 week* .
I had *seen* your thread on *The art of cold emailing on LinkedIn* and was really amazed to read it and I immediately subscribed to your channel after reading it because I felt that your *content is really very good* .
I was an *avid reader till 10th* standard but *left reading books* (other than academic books) because of my *JEE preparation* . I *started reading* various books like *“How to Win Friends and Influence People”* by Dale Carnegie and *“The Journey Home”* by Radhanath Swami *on my Laptop* after my 12th but due to the *load of online lectures, viewing lecture slides online* and reading these books on laptop, my *eyes were strained* and I found it *difficult to continue reading e-books on Laptop* .
*What a coincidence! I watched this video of yours and I got 2 benefits* :
I *understood how to read books* and retain the information and apply it in my life. I really want to thank you for explaining this process because I always felt bad when I could not complete a book due to lack of interest or any other reason and would not read another book until I finished this book.
And the second benefit is that *if* I get *selected* as a lucky winner then my *problem of difficulty in reading an e-book will be solved because of having a kindle* .

Hey Ankur! I'm Manas, a 20 year old computer science student from Delhi. I've been reading from about a year now and one thing that I've learnt gradually is that these books are not meant to be read as our textbooks. They do not constitute a syllabus that needs to be finished in a particular time. They are meant to be experienced. There's so much to grasp and there's so much to tell, so read them according to your speed.
I hope this reading journey continues for the rest of my life and I get to learn something new everyday, as it has been since the past year and a half. 🙌

Currently I am reading psychology of money. And I love to

I can write more about kindle why kindle is important for me but I know it will be not easy for you to read each and every line comments there are more than 5000 comments.

I'm recently graduating from IIT Madras, and PPO from Australian Fintech SaaS Company as SDE in Data Science, all due to sheer effort of reading- emails, White papers , Repositories , Documentations and et al researches. Kindle or not, reading brings me the same joy it did on DAY 1, hence before I join a Kindle would be the greatest Good Luck for me, and that's quite possibly the only way I'd ever be able to get in touch with a man as dignified as you.

I'm recently working in a coaching Institute as a tech teacher for engineering students. And I am preparing for ies. Mostly I read news paper and pdf of book in cell phone. I like to read books releated to artificial intelligence and Data Science and some motivational stuff which help me to give strength to continue my process of hardwork with a positive mind toward my goal even in odd situation of life. I like to read book to uplift me and my mental state in odd time. Thing are tough for me. But I keep my self charge up with a believe and book help me in that because in this world if you want to survive you need to charge up yourself from the odd situation and negativity around us and keep on working toward your goal for a change. Frnds we can choose but it is not necessary that u are lucky enough to get good people around u who alys support you. I choose books and my hard work and my believe that I will get pay for my hard work one day and things will change.... Just like other successful person in this world. A kindle for me is a bundle of joy and a evidence that yeah magic happen in this world when u keep working. It will make my believe more strong and give me more mental strength to fight for my dreams in odd situation which iam facing 🙂 .

Hello, I am 17 years old. A commerce student. Very interested in finance especially stock market investing. That's why I mostly read personal finance books. I started reading 3-4 years back. My first book was 'Rich dad poor dad' which took 1 year for me to finish as it was a new habit which I was trying to build. I slowly understood the power of reading and gaining knowledge through it. Now I am at that stage where not only I read regularly but encourage others to do the same. Instead of gifting watch, perfume, shoes, etc. Now I'm gifting books. A Kindle would help me very much. As I said I am interested in stocks, I want to read many books based on market, many of them are american books which are not available here in physical copy. Some of them are available but are very costly. So it would be accessible to me by Kindle.
Sir, thank you for your personal finance videos, it helps me to plan my future. I already started to invest in stock market. My first share was TCS.😊

Hi, this is Shreyash Gadgil. I am 23 year 'old' mechanical engineer currently doing a job and studying for exams for further studies.
When I was 8 year old, I started reading intensely, but that was mostly comic books(diamond comics, Amar chitra Katha, etc). After 2 years, I had to shift with my family due to personal reasons. I still had love for reading but due to financial constraints I couldn't. That time I was introduced to a library by my grandfather. Everything changed afterwards, I would read more books at nominal library fee and now(11 year old me) was reading 2-3 books(fiction/non-fiction) every month. Then as I turned 16, I had to focus more on academics and book reading slowly faded away. (Ans. to WHO I AM? Above)
I started reading books again from last 4 years, I have been reading books of specific genre like biography, autobiography, existentialism, economics, period classics, science fiction.
I try to read about 1-2 books in two months(sometimes more), I am an intermediate level reader(Ans. to WHICH STAGE OF READING AM I? Above)
But due to work, I have to travel and studying for exams+work+ travel has made it difficult for me to read for personal growth or leisure.
Having a kindle will rekindle my love for reading, as it is a virtual library literally in palms of my hand.(Additional perks, it is eco friendly 🌲 and eye friendly 👀). I would love to level up my reading levels for personal growth and Kindle seems to be the perfect tool for that.(Ans. to HOW MUCH WOULD A KINDLE CHANGE YOU? Above)
PS:- My birthday is on 25th of April, kindle would be a great birthday gift from you😉

It hasn't been long since I began reading regularly; I began doing so in February 2019. I enjoy reading only non-fiction, we share an interest here *that's EPIC*, mostly self-development books, autobiographies/biographies.

    I Disagree with you Sir,
Reading one book at a time can't be much helpful because then we will focus totally on completing the book. We'll read it in a way like we have to write all those things in exams and as you've said LIFE IS NOT LIKE EXAMS therefore I believe in our Reading Portfolio there should be at max 3 books of different genres say Philosophy(heavy knowledge Book),Finance(slight light Content) and Fiction (for just enjoying the writeup)

I’m an intermediate reader who got majorly into reading after listening to Tim Ferris and Naval Ravikant. In my school or college years I used to read a lot of science books related to physics , astronomy and Mathematics. Now I am into lots of non fiction too and I make vigorous notes too! Till now I have a lot of physical copies and to buy new books I sell some of my old. Which some what is painful I don’t know why. Hence a kindle would be a great upgrade, so I can buy more books with a little less expenditure as compared to physical books. It is also the most sustainable and planet friendly way.

I'm Keval Sanghani. Currently, I've just started working at an IT-MNC.
I had the habit of reading since I was in school. At that time, I mostly read magazines like Tinkle & Magic Pot, and short adventure novels like Famous Five, Secret Seven, etc. Then from college, my primary genre of interest shifted to Mythology & Religion. Wherein I've read many interpretations of Mahabharata from point of view of Bheem's, Karna's wife's, etc. I also started reading non-fiction and self-help, in that my favourite read, which I've applied to my life is 'Who moved my cheese'.
But after joining the job, I've kind of lost my habit of reading regularly. Also, I've noticed I can barely read few pages and then my mind would waver off. Hence, I think the Kindle which I'll hopefully win from you would fix this and I can once again develop a healthy habit of reading regularly through the powerful features of highlighting, finding meaning and sending highlights as a PDF.
P.S. How do I give you my address for the prize? :P

I am Dr. Pyla abhilash… I am in the very initial stages of reading books. I started 2 months back. I partially read books like - How democracies die , the 10x rule, ikigai , global politics, etc
The big problem I face when I am reading is that I read in an iPad and I constantly get distracted through notifications or my tendency to open other apps when I feel bored of reading. A kindle will help me focus on what I read without distractions, a kindle is simpler to read and highlight as you explained in this video, reading in a kindle separates my reading books hobby with the professional and personal work I do. I really believe that reading in a kindle will change many things for me and help me read more focusedly,
I know I am posting this late Ankur bhai but I did not know you earlier and now I find you inspiring. Despite being a doctor I am unemployed and I could not afford a kindle. Hello Ankur Sir,
This is Tanishkaa. I'm 18 years old and I've been reading books for a year and a half now. The only reason I would love to have a Kindle is that it will help me save paper on a massive level. I can share it with 2 of my elder siblings and one of my younger sibling plus my dad. So a total of 5 people can read from it turn by turn without having to waste paper anymore. The highlighting of important stuff from the book is a perk in itself, but saving paper in every aspect of life is something that I think of as my duty towards our lovely planet. The process of reading has helped me develop deep focus and bring a calm nature into my life and thats why I love books. It always makes me feel like I have a friend with me. My books are my friends. Although I know there are many other deserving people in the comment section here, I'll be happy that you read my message this far(no matter if it's just skimming hehe). Hello Ankur,
Vineetha here 27 years old Currently unemployed with almost 6+ years of experience.
If only I knew reading had the ability to transform me as a person & The effects books have on us is mostly invisible. Just by knowing whether someone reads a lot or doesn’t at all, you can already guess a great deal of what they are like. It doesn’t matter what kind of books they read. It matters who we have to become in order to read fluently. Since early on in my life I wasn't exposed to education the way people around me were I feel I lack something from the crowd.
Children who read a lot of books, are creating a sort of intellectual elite. My personal experience growing up is that, as an adult, you are much favored by business and scientific communities if you're well read, obviously reading in this pretext doesn't mean in any specific genre i think it's just about the habit of reading. I remember my aunt giving me Chetan Bhagat’s ‘ Three Mistakes of my Life’ to read during my vacation ,my first book supposedly I somehow leafed through very carefully I don't remember anything I read frm the book because of my weak understanding to comprehend the syntax of the English language
I used to think about construction of sentences ,grammer, phrases/idioms I was always confused and I think I still am but for sure slowly I know I am getting through every single day
I think a device like kindle could give me the exact impact of reading but in a more convenient and portable way.

So for me that book I know I will not read but it’s in my collection because I bought it. So, the way you said reading a book in the kindle Hines you the idea whether an I going to continue reading tiff book or not. Also I also prefer reading non- fiction so whenever I read books I have to sit with a pencil , kindle can help me to relax and read a book rather than sitting and reading the book because I have to highlight my pointers.
Moreover, just because my highlights are in the book and some of the then which I highlighted in my mind I am not able to take full advantage of the book in my life.

I am applying for this kindle giveaway because i need to keep changing my house frequently and i do face a lot of problem while shifting paper format books and my parents don't like that and ask me to not buy more books. I think kindle will definitely help me here.
As i am really seeing my self continuing this habit of mine for lifetime fir my further improvement.
    Thank you so much sir🙂

Hi I'm Sriram , an aspiring 18 year old musician . Ever since I was a kid , my parents never refused to buy me books , they would turn down any of my wants but not books. So I used to read back then even though I left many of them half way . My dad ended up selling my collections and then even I started losing interest . Just recently I started getting into reading again , I'm currently reading " one up on wall Street " by Peter Lynch and I really don't know how I'm able to sit at one place for long and keep reading considering that I've got ADHD . Thats how mesmerizing I found the book to be . I figured that I actually am into reading just that the books i often come across are not super intriguing . By having a Kindle , I can take my Library anywhere I go and just read , I won't have to clutter my tiny house with so many books 😂 and mainly when Ankur spoke about the highlighting feature , I knew this was something really really useful , so having a Kindle can be very convenient as there are times when you hear of a book and you look it up just to not find any copies online . 🙌

I AM STOPPING TO READ MY BOOK RIGHT AWAY AFTER LISTENING TO THIS VIDEO.
    Who am I?
I'm Yogesh K Shah, a CA by profession and trying to bring about a difference in the education world after leaving my job and starting something for this field.
At what stage of reading am I?
I regularly read books but time and again I tend to stop the habit because everytime I think what happened after reading, what did I do, what changed and when there are not good answers I tend to get demotivated a bit and stop reading. Now, I'll stop reading and first take up the last 2/3 books atleast and do step 2 and 3, write down what all I've to take action, how it impacts my life and how I can add it to my life. I also highlight quite a bit so it'll help me to do step 2 right away. It is wonderful to understand that there has to something I implement, APPLY in my life after reading else there's no point. Also it's good to read more books but it's great to apply. I'll start focusing on application as well with reading.
How a Kindle will help me?
It'll make me start reading more efficiently now, usually what happens is between books there's months of gap which goes without reading thinking which book to order that'll go away, plus I did not know we can take entire highlights into a separate pdf, that's such a useful tool, I try to write down ideas that I like, just scribbling types and make some notes, but this tool will be so much useful for me personally coz I like to keep going back to few old books and reading the highlights. It'll help me read more books.
P.S. There are so many things common between me and you Ankur, reading only non-fiction, preferring reading than listening to books. I keep seeing your videos and only wonder if we can meet anytime soon.
What I also learnt: I have always read every line of book and forced myself to finish book that I started. But glad to know it's ok to not do both!

I am geet golchha 21 year old graduate. I love the journey of reading non fiction, though I am not a great fan of digital reading but it is the only way to maintain consistency in reading, as getting physical book is hard and time consuming. Kindle paperwhite can be the only substitute of physical books because reading on kindle feels like reading on a paper, and it will maintain my consistency in reading.
Thank you for sharing tips on reading ☺️

    Hi Mr. Ankur,
I'm Roli, pursuing BTech, aspiring to become an entrepreneur I've started an apparels business where I combine traditional Jaipur designs with morden western outfits and will soon start exporting these as well.
I started reading books nearly 2years back and was startled to see how this habit transformed me as a person and the way I perceive things. I've read not many but very impactful books in which your videos have been very helpful.
I currently read books on my phone in pdf format and make handwritten points out of it. The few that I purchased I personally find more difficult to carry while travelling. A Kindle, I hope, will make the whole process easier and also fast.

Co-incidence I downloaded and installed Kindle App today. and than I came across your video on your instagram page. I am Himanshu a freelancer based in Delhi NCR. I was an avid reader a while back, lost the habit of reading and I purchased few e-books on amazon today to re-start my reading journey.
Kindle being a handy and portable device only meant for reading will help me develop this habit as there will be no distraction if I use this device over a smartphone or laptop.

    Hi Ankur,
I'm Tayyab Zafar and I'm in a Customer Success Role with a B2B SaaS startup.
I'm at a stage where I want to read more business books to learn more and I even buy books but I tend to loose interest midway due to time constraints. I've been trying to make time for reading but I haven't made much progress with it in last one year and so I have a pile of half read books left for me to finish.
When I read I do tend to highlight a lot and I believe Kindle's feature of sending those notes over email is something which will help me a great deal.
Another thing kindle would help me with is recalling those extracts of books and helping me revisit them. I tend to write them on journals until now and keep them handy for me to revisit them.

I am glad to listen to your thoughts and tend to agree to almost all the things that you mentioned. The reading with discipline in order to acquire knowledge, skill and inspiration makes reading process justifiable. Wish I too had such wisdom at your age. Great piece of advice for youth who possess resources in their hands for almost free to improve themselves yet most of them don't realize how earlier generations had to struggle to acquire knowledge and get advice.
