- I took a trip to RPM performance where we fitted their new sport cat down pipe, along with some of their existing parts to the I30N DCT FL.

Such nice sound, sadly where I live, I manage to get to “sound regulations” checks often, and it almos breaches the limits on stock exhaust(Pre-fl) :D This would definetelly take away inspection certificate from my I30N.
This one of the first things I would get if I had one of these.

Thank you! I’ve not yet pushed the car since they’ve been fitted so I haven’t been in a scenario to comment on the advantages, which is why I didn’t make comment in the video. But Dan explained to me in great detail that when he stress tested the wishbones, they were far stronger. I also think these would be a more notice or upgrade from the off without all of the whiteline parts I had already fitted. But I have no doubt that they are doing their job, they have had great feedback on the i30n group.

Hey buddy, thank you. A remap and exhaust upgrade will give you more power and more volume. Unfortunately I don’t know much about the 1.5 engine in the i30 so I can’t give any specifics on upgrades
Looking at a i30n but don’t have 30 grand knocking about debating on whether to get a loan from the bank so I can pay it off fully and own it to allow me to mod the car with new parts or whether to go pcp route but not be able to mod it

Thank you. You’ll still need the gpf version of the flex pipe as yours is a gpf car. 2018 cars come without the gpf so have a different length flex pipe

Dan, Do you get any drone sound in the cabin from this type of exhaust…because I have the same exhaust system on a Fastback and there’s a drone sound at high revs.
Hi buddy, I now have. Gpf back added from RPM with an anti drone pipe which eliminates the drone. I have a video I’m currently at editing stage covering the full exhaust sustem

What year is your n performance the 2021 exhaust system is bullshit loud stock if you adjust the drive mode.
Hi mate do you know how many of the i30n 2021 models have been released in the uk? As I’m a lorry driver and Spend hours on the road have only ever seen one.
They're struggling to build them like most manufacturers, plus I'd imagine given the economy, not many are used for mile munching 👍 ordered mine last week, end of July delivery.

Yes we manufacture MK8 GTI exhausts and they are in stock. We also have MK8 GTI resonator deletes as well.

Just place it back. It's fairly easy to do.

@@AJMGoPro how funny!! 😂 thank you mate 😁 I recommend the exhaust yeah. You’ll have to talk to Dan at RPM with regards to fitting, the downpipe is the tricky part to remove/fit.

Will rpm be doing a Elantra N exhaust if so will it be available in america
Best thing to do is contact them direct. But I doubt it as they are UK based and we don’t have the Elantra over here

Isn't deleting the GPF illegal for on road use?
Not per se. The car isn’t due an MOT until 2025 so emissions shouldn’t be an issue until then. He could put the stock GPF back on if the car fails.

It’s their 200cel sport cat, flex pipe and stealth gpf pipe with stock gpf back system

RPM which will be the next feature video and it has the perfect tone and volume now

Only on the exhaust and related parts
And what about emissions. It probably won't pass the emission control, right?

Any removal of emissions systems will be an MOT failure

Not necessarily, if it looks like the GPF is still in place.
@@ghostinthemachine76 No, they do an emissions test from the exhaust to test the amount of gases coming out. If its more than normal, its a fail

Thank you, that’s what I was wondering.
I know in the past it was just a visual check. I haven’t had a car MOT’d for a while so I wasn’t sure what the situation is now.
Would it definitely fail an emissions test without the GPF do you think?
@@ghostinthemachine76 it really depends on the garage and how thorough they are. It SHOULD fail but that's not to say it will, some garages won't even bother the emissions check and will just go old school, some will pass it regardless if you just slip them £20 😂 its worthwhile learning how to change the stuff on your own though. Exhaust system stuff really is dead easy to do and you could just swap it over for the MOT then swap it back.
I don't like the pops, I like a deep tone with some burbles.
Pointless mod. Stock is good enough.
