Wow, this really is an astonishing car! You expect a competitor to the Golf GTI but you'll get something even more aggressive and louder than a Golf R, pretty amazing. As someone who is working in the industry I can tell you that he is not developing these cars. There are literally thousands of engineers working behind this. And as long they stay the same there is not much of a change. Developing a complete new car until SOP (start of production) is usually between 3 and 5 years. When did he start to work for Hyundai?
Ok. But he's there for making decisions, not for developing.

Sound ist eindeutig besser beim i30, aber Design technisch und qualitativ ist vw um Welten besser
Der Sound ist echt gut für Serie. Andere Automarken könnten sich mal ein Beispiel daran nehmen

Seit wann sind wir eigentlich so verwöhnt?? Spaß machen soll die Karre und die ist einfach lässiger, als der 85mio.ste VW.
@@Robin.S_1980 Da hast du aufjedenfall Recht, aber ich finde dann sollte das Fahrzeug noch günstiger sein denn man bekommt beim Händler schon fast für den selben Preis einen GTI, ich meine nicht die Listenpreise, und der ist nun wirklich deutlich besser verarbeitet im Innenraum. Beim Hyundai ist da ja fast alles aus Hartplastik im Innenraum was dann wirklich einen noch größeren Preisunterschied geben sollte finde ich.
ROLEX das seh ich auch so. Ich will mich auch wohlfühlen im Auto.

Let's say lacking in a few decisions but my seat toledo is such a nice and reliable car it is 17 years old the vr5 sounds very good for being completely stock(can't wait to get a new exhaust) and it's build like a tank no rust or paint issues what so ever

It's downright insane for a stock 4 pot engine and an exhaust to sound like that. Noises are better than some of the 6-cylinders or v8s in the market (BMW take note).

This hyundai is a track beast for my opinion if the i30n would have the same amount of horsepower a golf r and a45 or rs3 would not have an chance on track what i think

You misunderstand the point of the golf r. Its goal is not to be insanely obnoxious and stupid fast. Its a refined german engineered awd golf, that is perfect in any weather, any time of day for whatever job. Oh and its also really damn quick when you want it to be.
Yes R take notes. I30N is just front wheel drive but too impressive. RS3 is far way classy and faster than Golf R, so don’t tell us abt the refined German, both 4 wheel drive.
Mzwandile Harmans rs3 is a lot more expensive than a golf r so what do you expect, plus maintenance on a rs3 is insane.
Say No to Autonomous Driving why did they add some clown fake sound in the cabin then? To fool all the idiots who's press sport mode and think it sound amazing lol. I have a golf R and it's very boring at low speed.

The sound is awsome and has some kind of BMW sound to it. Former BMW engineer worked on this car so it makes some sense. The sound is one of the best 2.0 Turbo 4 cylinder sounds out there.

It's tuned to not kill the cat or gpf so can't be too crazy but will chuck the odd flame out if you get it hot enough to engage cat/gpf cooling where ignition retards some more and fueling enrichens some more

Leider ist das nachfolgermodell leiser wegen der neuen Euro 6 d-temp Abgasnormen und dem daraus folgenden partikelfilter :/
Das Teil ist einfach genial,habe ihn selber schon gefahren und er macht um einiges mehr Spaß als GTI/ Golf R Seat cubra und die anderen die ich versucht habe.ob nun ne Sekunde schneller oder langsamer...der Spaß hält um einiges länger an als eine Sekunde 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Spaß.... was bringt einem Spaß und tolles Geknalle das nach 14 Tagen keine Sau mehr interessiert? Wenn man sich dann noch vor Augen hält das man mit dem I30N das langsamste Auto seiner Fahrzeugklasse gekauft hat... und es noch nichtmal das Potential hat richtige Leistung zu bringen. Dann lieber Type R oder Megane RS.

Don't get why people keep comparing the Golf R. The R has another 30-40 ps. This is more similar to the GTI in terms of price, power and performance.

Brad Atkinson depends if you are happy with FWD. Personally, I am not a fan of powerful FWD cars - physics is your enemy!
Golf R or S3... way more potential. Stage 1 Software without hardware makes nearly 400hp. The I30N wont survive more than 300hp on stock internals.

bester hot hatch sound zurzeit, da kommt kein VAG 2.0 TFSI gefurze mit... schade das der neue TypeR so leise ist :-( kann man aber was gegen tun ^^ bissle proggen HKS Anlage drunter und los gehts.
Ich finde gerade das ruhige bollern vom type R klingt wesentlich angenehmer als das gefurze aber gut jedem das seine und sowohl bei VAG als auch bei hyundai ist das lediglich ein gimmick was man nach kurzer zeit eh satt hat und in N/individual Modus abschaltet
Lässt sich alles programmieren ;-)
du glaubst ja nicht wirklich, dass sich der I30N besser verkäuft wie ein VW?
Der Blick eines dahin "knatternden" i30N Fahrers wenn en Civic Type R einfach dran vorbei "rauscht" muss unbezahlbar sein. Honda hat verstanden das niemand 4 Zylinder Sound toll findet, mal davon abgesehen würde ich behaupten das die Hondamotoren zusammen mit 2.0 TFSI "Furzern" die saubersten Motoren sind, denn gerade Abgasreinigung (Vorkat - Nachkat bald OPF) nehmen viel vom Klang, da drunter leidet dann eben der "Ton" wenn man wie beim i30N ne Blechdosen Klappe mit Kammerdämpfer anschraubt damit überhaupt was raus kommt.

Hay, bin auch am überlegen mir einen I30N Performance zu bestellen, wie viele KM hast du schon runter, bist du zufrieden und ganz wichtig gab es irgendwelche Probleme ? vielen dank :)
Wir durften diesen i30 N bis dato nur 2 Wochen und 2.000 km fahren, echt tolles Auto welches einen hochwertigen Eindruck macht. Ich persönlich würde ihn klar einem Golf GTI vorziehen, ggf. auch einen Cupra 300, da er einfach deutlich emotionaler ist.
Automann-TV vielen dank für die Rückmeldung, habe auch schon gehört, dass Golf 7R Fahrer auf Hyunday gewechselt haben, dazu ist ja selbst JP-Performance von den I30N beeindruckt, werde meinen auch bald bestellen
Nimm den i30 N. Ein Freund hat ihn auch und ist sehr zufrieden. Ich habe seit 12.17 den neuen Golf R Facelift. Sowas emotionsloses dieses Auto. Nie wieder...
Such dir nen Megane RS 275 Trophy.. macht mehr Spaß... das knallen vom i30N wird schnell öde, sonst hat der auch nicht viel zu bieten. Die Sperre ist halbherziger elektronisch geregelter Schrott, die Bremsen sind für das Fahrzeug echt unter aller Schublade und das Fahrwerk hält keine 100.000km bei artgerechter Haltung. Irgendwo kommt der Preis eben her.

Sehr beachtlich wenn man bedenkt das die gesetzlichen Rahmenbedingungen immer strenger werden.
109 dB....aber das ist Standgeräusch, das dürfen andere auch. 74 dB Vorbeifahrgeräusch gilt auch beim i30 N.
