Wayne, This is the Best Wonderfest video I've seen! Not to fast and Not to slow.....PERFECT JOB!!! Thank You. I noticed a B/W version of Moebius Bride of Frankenstein, I wonder if that was person who Outbid me on EBAY.
Extremely well done video! Very clear, bright and well lit, and slow enough panning to get a good look at all the wonderful kits. Thanks for shooting this and putting it up, it looks great. Nice music too!!
You got a closer look at the Space Shuttle Orbiter than I did but I got to see it launch. Which trumps which is anyone's guess. Enjoy the rest of your trip.
Many thanks for sharing, there is some great and very skilful work on show, inspirational.
Wayne, thank you for taking a few minutes to chat with my son, Anthony, and I today. It was a real treat. He was awful excited to meet you, as was I. We hope you enjoy the rest of your trip.
Thanks again.
Thank you Matt. It was my pleasure in meeting you both too.
Nice job...hope to see you next year....
The DeLoream is my son David's build and I am so proud of him I am about to bust my gut. I have been with him through the whole build and he is a perfectionist.
I stood there captivate with my mouth ajar. It was an amazing display. Please pass on my admiration for this model and the talents involved in making it. You must be very proud. ❤️
@@WorldofWayneUK I do know how to spell DeLorean. Didn't catch my typo.
This model is an eye catcher. I was starring it for minutes. What amazing work...😁
for me that was worth the entire price of admission, I live in Louisville and somehow have never been, so glad I finally made a trip!
That is an awesome build! Like Wayne I was blown away when I saw it. The attention to every detail shows. Great work and you have a right to be proud of him.
WonderFest is more of an artist's show then it is a model builder's show.....amazing stuff as always
They do havva similar thing in Germany most of the German model engineers gather round/showcase most of the completed work onna display. Only difference they did medals for3rd 2nd/1st not sure if America has asimilar thing though but man it,s aglorious sight Mario Braur came2nd i think
My son painted the Wolverine/Zombie. Some great statues all around. Thanks for posting this.
What an amazing video! I want to go in 2023 and I want to bring, barring no more shipping delays, my Deagostini Millennium Falcon to showcase! It would be such a thrill to have one of my pieces alongside all that talent that’s there!
Oh shit Tars from Instellar film i lov that machine/abrilliant film Interstellar all about interdimensional space travel between other worlds ..... if such athing is technically possible
What a fantastic place to view peoples work! What great talents too. I especially love the different types of space ships, even with the ones you can see inside the cockpits, through the tiny windows. So realistic!
that was so amzing, thank you for sharing. Some truly wonderful artist on display
The sheer talent on show just left me watching in complete awe. Such phenomenal talent.
I'm so very proud of my Dad (David Jacobs); he's very pro at building anything, and he is working very hard and unstoppable! Way to go, Dad!!!
Way to go indeed. Amazing model and display.
Enjoyed your vid, it was a GREAT weekend!!!!! 👍👍👍
Errm there is one "space ship" that looks like it was made from a air brush! (about 12 mins in!)
Absolutely awesome Wayne - thank you for bringing Wonderfest to us. The skill level involved - my hat is off. Every one is a winner!
Yes...here, here!
Some incredible stuff there
Don't monopolize Lou's time, now!
The Trek props look like Richard Coyle's work.
Lou Dalmaso is such a model model-maker. He's a wonderfully fearless ambassador for the whole hobby, showing everyone how to do the most incredible models!
So long as Lou can do the stuff he wants to do and isn't snuffed out by doing too much on the time machine. That's important. The Time Machine is obviously cool. But Lou always has an amazing list of great things he's making that we all want to see.
It was great to meet you today. I hope you are having a wonderful time. You are right. Those models are all just amazing.
Been scoping youtube all day for coverage. I couldnt be there but one of my clients with builds i did was. Thanks for uploading!
Yes - great video Wayne - BUT WHAT DID YOU BUY?!!!!!!!!!! (lol)
Another winner, loved the ambiance the music created.
Made my creative side twitch to life, and that’s not a bad thing
Cheers!
Excellent, where was this. the models are amazing, must of have been a great day, All the best. From Essex. 🍻
It’s in Louisville. Kentucky every year
@@WorldofWayneUK Thanks. 👍
I wish I'd met you, I go to Wonderfest every year. Hope I see you next year
I'm aiming to be there again next year. It's a week later next year :D
@@WorldofWayneUK I'll be there, my friends and I meet up and get a suite. Guys weekend. I really hope I meet you next time, I just started watching your Ecto 1 videos. You do a really excellent job.
crazy video it's so good
WOW, FANTASTIC VIDEO, THE MUSIC, THE MODLES THE CLARITY OFF THIS VIDEO IS WONDERFUL, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE 👍👍🤟
More than the skills of these modelers, what really impress me is their imagination to come up with these ideas. This is my third year coming to the event and I intent to repeat it year after year. It's worth not only for the models but the good deals you get in the vendors area.
Yeah, I was able to get a resin devil head, my high school's mascot is the Red Devils, for $10, which was $15 originally. I also got an 1959 Lindberg Messerschmitt me-262 for $7, which was originally $15. I mostly do modle planes, so I didn't enter anything this year. Next year though, I'm gonna enter my Devil head, and I'm gonna work on a space m16a1, and I'm gonna do a kit-bash of a bunch of different planes for next year. If you saw it, my dad did a diorama of Luke's boyhood home from Star Wars. I'm 15, and this was our first year at Wonderfest.
I'm pretty sure that the shuttle pod from Star Trek is your and (our) good friend Phill's Mr Sprueverse! At the 17 mins and 10 seconds to 17 mins 24.5 seconds! If it's not his I'll eat my hat!
That would be Mr Lou Dalmaso’s
Hice todo un ejercicio de memoria!!!!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁😁
Hey Wayne I was there. I looked for you and Lou but I couldn't find you. Maybe next time? I'll be posting several videos to my channel of WonderFest 2022
Thanks for the video, I'm a new subscriber ( from Lou's ). Anyways can't wait for the Time Machine, and to go back through all your previous videos. Goodbye for now from California. John S.
.
Wow!! Awesome job video taping this!! Really nice and steady 👌 👍!! And I just saw a few busts of the show that I just watched on Svengholie!! I was a Teenage Werewolf!! And it's in black and white!! So for us to see it in Color!!?? Nice interpretation and coloring 👌!!! And all the other excellent work!!!!!!! I'm thinking about getting into Coloring Busts and other things that I like!!? Thanks for the great video!! God bless you all today 🙏 Shalom
Great camera work... music was perfect, thank you for sharing with us you experience,.. I did learn one thing very important... I am glad I wasn't one of the judges, I couldn't imagine trying to pick the best out of all of those.. my brain would have exploded... \o/ ahhh!!
You freakin' had me when I saw the sign saying Corby - I was like - oh is there a model fair in the town 7 miles away from my house... then you got on a plane?!... then you tour planes in a museum?! then you tour... Lou Dalmaso's house!!! ...and you meet up with sprueVerse! ... I'm not Jelly... I'm not Jelly... who am I kidding... so jealous! :D
Where do you buy some of this stuff? Or is it custom 3d printing?
Most of the models are from kits, resin kits, scratch builds or 3D prints
My Lord Wayne but you shot a lot of gorgeous pieces. But the three that stood out to me were the BTTF Delorean with Marty and Doc Brown floating above the billboard, that was Spectacular, but it wasn't screen accurate since Marty was on the ground when that scene happened, but for nostalgia's sake it was awesome.
The next was that Giant 3 foot tall Godzilla or for accuracy of the japanese term Gojeira, but Wow I would love to have that in my collection, along with Mothra,Ghidora,Rodan,Mothra catapillar,Mecha Godzilla, and even Baby Godzilla, and the rest of those monsters too.
Lastly the most shocking and most accurate even tho it appeared to be about 1/2 scale or so was the 1960's Bust of Vincent Price, that think was so lifelike,I would give anything for that piece.
But other honorable mentions are Herman Munster Statue, very detailed, the Salems Lot Vampire, and not the first Medusa with the black face paint but the second one, that was creepy and beatiful but I never looked directly into her eyes as I didn't want to turn to stone.
Alas Wayne you are so lucky and fortunate to be able to go to shows like tthis,I wish I could afford to go like you do,but my congrats to you for going and sharing such mouthwatering video of everything.Take care Wayne.
Amazing stuff !
I'm unfortunately out of the game since everyone can 3D print now.
I do everything by hand so I'm definitely out of my league.
Great Stuff, I know it was a US show, but only one British Space ship? Someone should do a Studio Scale Liberator, packed with LEDs
Wow some of these female figuers! And love the War of the Worlds ship, that is rather cool. And you've got to love R2-D2!
I know right? Especially their derrieres. Hello!
@@eyecomeinpeace2707 I dunno, it was all eye popping…
Incredible, I have rarely seen so much Awesomeness in only one Video. Couldn't take my eyes away from the screen for one second. Would love to say this or that was the best pice in the Video but that would be unfair. Because their was so much greatness on the Table, I wouldn't wanted judge those pices according to their beauty. 👏👏👏
Was that Lou’s Kodan fighter and Iwata airbrush ship?
Yep
Like the Eagle Transporter *Space 1999(?) about 18 mins in!
Think I saw your Wnderfest video last year. And thanks for the smooth camera work.
Excellent video! Kept me interested start to finish, great pace. I guarantee there isn't enough awards, I'd hate to be a judge!
The walking corpse 3:12 and those spiders...wow!
Hi Wayne liked the 1812 overture and the video the model fest
Hope you enjoyed your trip. I'm only 7 hours by car and have never made the wonderfest trip. Good on you.
J'ai retrouvé mes yeux d'enfant 😯.
Merci!
Mr Green goes to Washington, some amazing models there dude , talent blows me away.
So much talent, glad i dont have to judge, seems to be near impossible task.
I Would hate to be a judge for this the talent is unbelievable. Enjoy yourself Wayne .
Amazing vid 💞💞👍👍🍺🍺🙏🙏🐕🐕🇦🇺🇦🇺
These models are all excellent, and picking any one as a favorite would be impossible. That said, I wish that you had taken more photos of the Traveling Man spaceship from the classic "Lost in Space" episode, "Welcome, Stranger," at 11:06. That was very well done, and brought back plenty of memories. Thanks for posting this!
How do you judge an event when there is so much talent out there especially some of the detail some of tha painting just blows me away
11:50 Is that a deck fighter from "The Last Starfighter"?
Thumbs up for you buddy, Cheers from Canada.
I lov that Jack Nicholson Joker bust
I'm there also. I'll be looking for you.
thanx for posting this my friend!!!
I want that Maxx and Julie the Jungle Queen Model so bad!
Awesome video can’t wait for the part 2
Wow. 3d printing has come a long way
Lot's of interesting busts in this video...
The most impressive aspects for me were ;
a) The sculpting skill to create recognisable features.
b) The painting skill to blend realistic skin tones.
IMHO it's one thing to make / paint a fantasy model and say 'It's supposed to look like that' but quite another to recreate an original object / person familiar to fans and make it instantly recognisable. Doing an impression shouldn't need a catch phrase for the audience to know who it is, and in the same vein IMHO a model shouldn't need a label for you to recognise the person.
Not everyone knows every characters/ships, ect.
Nostromo is easily recognizable for me as a fan... But people in my family might also like the art without having a clue of what it is.
I think it's just adding professionalism to the piece.
How on earth do you pick a best of show they are all fantastic
Some fantastic models there. 😎
wow wow wow wow nice working very hard
Impressive, most Impressive.👏🎭
Great job Wayne! Looks like you caught just about everything, I was able to spot some of the great modelers Lou-Ken-Oggie-Randy and Chris . Happy you are in the states hope you enjoy yourself while you are here. Thanks for a real pro done video, TAKE CARE!
Although it's great to see some nice models and hope that it would inspire people to do something as well.
I find that these shows have more of a negative effect on me as I know that I never have time to put things together to these standards.
Hope you had a great time and your wallet isn't in to much pain
The Iron Giant was dope!
Wow, another modelling competition video - but no Sherman tanks, crumbling war torn scale buildings, or more zombie sharks in resin pours! New to modelling here, and I’m wondering what’s scratch built, what’s 3D printed and what’s out of the box though extremely artistically painted? How does one know, and how are competitions judged? Regardless, thanks for the effort with this presentation.
As for how they are judged I have no idea.as for what’s scratch built….. I have no idea lol. I’m not much help am I lol
Just Wow! Brilliant video Wayne .. that competition room is wall to wall model art at its finest! Too many stand out pieces to mention individually! Liked your intro too… was that George Washington’s House I saw you outside? .. if it was, I went there back in 1989 during a one month coach trip from LA to NYC! Looking forward to part two .. and to see what goodies you have acquired & what we can all look forward to seeing you build in the future! Enjoy the rest of your stay!
It was. Mount Vernon
Great works! Great images!
Are the B9 Robot Builders Club members there this year?
I haven’t seen them
@@WorldofWayneUK Hmm.. they've been there every year for the last few years. I wonder what happened. If you do see them, I hope you'll include some footage in another video. I'm glad you're having a great time!
@@outsider238 Im doing one shortly on the two dealer areas which also have model displays
@@WorldofWayneUK Okay! I did see that they are in fact there this year. I think Marta Kristen is signing autographs as well!
Awesome video Wayne!
4:55 - That is incredible
Super Video, Danke 👍👍👏👏❤️❤️
What'd you think of Udvar-Hazy? That place is incredible. Looks like getting to Wonderfest was an adventure unto itself. Excellent!
The place is amazing. It should be on everyone’s bucket list
Amazing..... Tank You.
Nothing to add, or say.
There are some really talented people out there. I could never do any paint job like those.
I would be happy with just 1% of their painting talent
A tip of the hat to all, great job !
Excellent merci !
Amazing wow 👍
All I can say is wow!
Thank You Sir
Can you imagine if we held somthing like this over in the UK. And the Americans would be like "Is that all that you,ve got!" 😱🇺🇸
Thanks for uploading this. I started going to WF back in 95. I'm one of the old guys in this hobby. I haven't been able to go in several years. So, it's a real treat to watch this vid.
A paradise! Thank you for showing us. The Modellbau in Dortmund/ Germany, where you can at least see something like this, unfortunately fell into the water again, as they say here.
What a amazing show. Thank you so much for sharing your video of it with us all.
Thanks for taking the time to record, edit & upload - much appreciated. Exceptional quality, great lighting and nice relaxing music - perfect.
Glad you had a great time - and always nice to see a fellow Brit attending 👍
That was some excellent film work Wayne! You showed some things that I had not seen in the photos that have been posted, and the video showed some things that just won't show in still photos. I am glad you had a wonderful time and met a lot of folks. Really wish I could have been there.
First time attending Wonderfest and I really enjoyed myself. The only let down was not having awards being handed out (to see who made what). I was informed by other modelers, that vendors weren't happy to have everyone leaving the vendor area to attend an awards presentation in the past.
With that said I brought 6 model kits to the contest and was extremely grateful they all got some kind of award/merit. I was shocked that some amazing models I really liked weren't awarded anything.
Thanks for sharing video form the show! Cheers.
Super
