7:07 please don't "give it a little bump". Especially near the east coast. Sometimes you gotta drill out new ones here. The lugnuts hold/clamp the wheel and in turn the rotor in place. That little screw is only to hold it there while youre putting the caliper/bracket and pads in, it's nothing more and does not require being torqued past wherever it stops. Otherwise, great video. Very informative!
I use these videos as refreshers when I get an odd job at home and don't have access to Mitchell or identifix here. The main reason I do this for simple things like brakes, is to see if there's any special tools needed that I need to dig out or borrow. I like that you also mentioned the specific tools along the way. Makes it easy to just grab a handful of stuff and go get it done fast. Good job and thank you
Nicely done Dan!
Very helpful. Just got back from my dealership and they advised me to change rear pads on my 2016 Sorento for 750 bucks. Holly cow!
Now, I will by the pads for 120 and do it by myself.
Thanks again, Dan.
The only video on here that reminds you to take parking brake off 🤦♂️. THANK YOU
These front and rear brake videos are probably some of the best I have seen. Doing my brakes now. Great job!
Great video! Thanks for posting. Sure beats paying hundreds of dollars for the dealership or a garage to do it.
Thanks again Dan. Like I said on the front brake video you did , best I've seen! Excellent and concise.
Perfect! Great camera angle, clear video and well explained throughout. Thanks so much for posting these!
One of the best videos and narration out there. Great detail.
Bro... you the man! Just saved $445.00 because of you!!!! Thank you Dan the man!!!!
Glad to hear my video helped you!
Excellent video, Thank you so much!! Clear and easy to follow.

Nice job Dan. Easy to follow video. Thank you.
Thanks for the video dude... Straight to the point.
I just changed my pads, as well as my discs on the 4 wheels. Your videos have helped me a lot and made me feel confident. I saved almost $1000. Thank you!
Awesome instructions! Thank you!
Another great video! I have a 2020 Sorento 3.3 fwd EX base model. I love this vehicle. Thank you so much for your great presentation. For one, I grew up in my dad's shop and really miss having him and his shop to hang out there. Other than the lack of flushing the fluid, that was a very professional quality job. Florida's brake fluid gets cooked and sometimes do it between pad replacement. Looking forward to more of your videos. Maybe spark plugs and pcv cleaning on another presentation. So long for now.
Great video. Helped alot. Thanks
Great video!
Very helpful! Thank you
You should adjust the handbrake pads when replacing rotor.
Awesome thanks
2:32 I like the hook 😍
great video. I didn't realize they have brake shoes. Do these typically need to be replaced and if so how do you know when?
did you have to disengage the parking break? i have the same year and model car, and the parking break is operated by a button, wonder how to make sure that doesn't get in the way of doing this service. Thanks!🤔
Hi! Great video. We have a 2016 Sedona and the rear brakes are alike. One question: where did you get the specs for the bolt torques?
just tight enough
Did you say to put the car in gear? Or neutral
Why do they have the set screws on the rotors? Logic says the lugs hold the rotor to the hub.Are they there just to secure the rotor while remounting the wheel?
That's what I have been told is that they're only used to hold the rotor to the hub during manufacturing, but I usually just put them back in...
Thanks for watching!

Is it the same process for a 2017 too??
It is not, the 2017 has a sway bar attached to the bottom bolt
Aren’t you supposed to reuse the metal backing plate that goes on the inside brake pad? It just clips on
Good video. Save time remove caliper as o e piece
You forgot to add to take off the backing place on the old pad .
Wished you replaced the drum pads just to see it done. Easy enough just saying.
rotor replacement 3 years later only , ???
Should replace rotors same time as the pads. Even if rotors look okay.
@@Sean-mc4iq that's a waste of money. Only if the pads have started to dig I to the rotor. You can also take the factory rotors and have them turned. A lot of aftermarket parts are junk.
@@ifitaintbroke7427 i mean when you do it yourself, it costs nothing.
