A fairly simple but annoying thing. This is one of the guitarist's most frequently occurring burdens. There's a few reasons why this will happen and here's what you should do :-)
Not gonna lie, I was really bothered by the fact that everything important to look at (connections and what not) were super blurry or the view was blocked by your hand. But I stuck it out and payed attention to what you were saying, tried it on my guitar, AND IT WORKED! So excited to have that sound gone! Thank you so much!
thank you so much! I've been playing electric guitar for over a year now and my guitar constantly has a problem at the output jack. Whenever I plug it in all the way, all these crackling noises appear out of no where. So I've had to plug it halfway in just right for the guitar not to make noise. I followed your instruction and gave it a good clean so everything is good now. I can happily plug it all the way in
Hi David, as long as there's guitar content that I can pass on I'll keep on doing it and thanks so much for your kind comment :-) I find there's so many quick and easy little jobs that can be done with regular household tools that it'd be a shame not to impart a little knowledge if I possibly can. Cheers buddy :-)
Hi Pete :-) I have thought of this but there's so many clever guitar schoolers out there that I feel I'd be lost in the vacuum. As it turns out, I did teach music in our local schools and colleges but the conditions were poor, the pay wasn't brilliant and even worse, they stopped us using the cane! Where's the fun in that? :-)
Oh Michael, I'm so sorry. However, one can't know something until one knows something. I'm fully aware that guys like you and I (and a fair few others on here) know all this caper but we do want to encourage newbies into the fold and keep them rocking and not buzzing :-)

Hi Seth and thanks :-) I'm so happy it worked for you :-) I really must endeavour to improve my technique with those 'fix-up' videos. Cheers, Gary :-)

thank you🤘
Hi Hans, hope you found it useful. Cheers, Gary :-)
Dirt in your socket very irritating , most orifices need a clean sometimes 👍😊
Hi Bill :-) Nothing worse than dirt in one's socket. Sometimes only a jolly good sorting out with rolled up sandpaper will do the trick! Ooo-err :-)
@@FoxysGuitarShow we are all men of the world I don't mind double entendres but that's bordering on triple entendre I've never been so..so...ooh!.😲😮
Sorted who needs to know anymore.

Hi Robin :-) True, true, but cheaper than taking it to the local guitar tech! Cheers, Gary :-)
