I agree, its more about who's apologizing, when the person is an attention seeking fuck boy that takes nothing seriously, the apology pretty much means nothing.
I think a big deal that people lately have mistaken is that the apology isn't to be accepted by the other person. Else, it's selfish and not a real apology. I'd guess Aella knows this, but "the internet" is most certainly causing selection bias here. Men and women generally use the internet differently, thus, different types of men and different types of women will be selected for. As an example, my girlfriend could use the internet more than me, but she also could be on social media (instagram, tiktok, etc.) much more, whereas I could be a reddit/youtube debate warrior. If men and women use the internet broadly as described above, you have a more complicated selection bias in the differences in the groups.
For the death row and pleasure island question i think i would actually say yes. Im inclined naturally to say no but upon further reflection i realized that a lot of criminals are victims of circumstance and a life filled with suffering. From that perspective i have an urge to show them some mercy in recognition of that fact. All in all the most important thing is that they never hurt anyone again. The second most important is that people dont have an incentive to do evil things. Both conditions are satisfied no matter how you answer. I think emotionally there is a desire to hurt people that have done bad things, but that doesnt automatically make it rational, useful, or morally right (though sometimes it definitely is).
Personally I'd say yes but only because I consider the death penalty to be pretty darn close to murder, without necessarily being murder. It simply should not be done. So when deciding between pleasure island and murder for a murderer, yeah, I have to pick pleasure island. I don't like it, and it makes me feel bad, but I think that's unavoidable sometimes. It also makes me feel bad that Bill Cosby got off for all the shit he did, but I also strongly agree that he should have (based on my understanding of why he got off). The point being that sometimes your moral system can lead to a lose-lose situation, and that's fine. I don't look at it as a utilitarian thing, just a principled position that murder (or murder-adjacent) is wrong. Rewarding someone for a bad action isn't ethically wrong, it just sucks.

An apology is a ritual, to some degree, but assuming it is genuine, the meaning behind it and the acceptance of the apology are very important. That part where Aba and Destiny dropped everything to do a test was the most testosterone thing I've ever seen in my life. They were presented with a toy and had to play with it.
The whole conversation was Aella trying to push a narrative that excuses choices she made that she knows are detrimental and trying to frame Aba and Destiny in a convenient for her mindset way.
Can you explain what you mean and give some examples. And what are these choices detrimental to? I'm genuinely just curious and this comment is infuriatingly vague.
"It makes me sorrow" is a better translation. And "I'm sorry" is basically today's use of it. Sorrow and sorry are linked, it just developed over time.
Interesting. “Compassion” is from Latin for “to suffer with,” so that makes sense to say “it does me suffering” because an apology is supposed to be a way to show compassion.
Which also fits into the relativity aspect, as cheating could or should be apart of it, all aspects of betrayal are my deepest insecurities, idk how destiny has a relative approach to these things or if that's just the image he wants to give off

I'm surprised that "The ability to resurrect a single person who died in the last 5 years" isn't higher on that list. I don't have anyone in particular, but you could resurrect someone who died in a car accident at like 18 or something. That would be so incredibly useful and it would suck to put so many things just for myself above that
I was just worried about the consequences of that action. When someone dies, the space they occupied gets filled relatively quickly unless people are deliberately trying not to move on. Reintroducing someone into this situation, especially when everyone has mentally moved on, can cause more damage than good I think. I'm sure there are exceptions, but I would have to be very familiar with the place the resurectee would be reoccupying in order to make an exception.
It's the same way people get upset if you mock/make fun of anything woke. They react the exact same way. If you think of woke ideology as a religion, they react the exact same way as muslims do when talking about mohammed.

Vanilla sex is as pleasurable as non vanilla sex if a certain link exist between the 2 people. Without that intimacy it boils down to just finishing.
Vanilla sex is as pleasurable as the person having vanilla sex feels that it is.
why do so many people demonize vanilla sex and enjoy saying they are different.
Aella is god-tier content. she asks the perfect questions. what an insanely interesting person. I find it interesting how much Aba respects her compared to other people. It's kinda cringe to say but it's like they all recognise each other's power levels loool
I agree for the most part, I don’t know if I’m just overthinking it, but it feel like she tried to put Aba in a box of what she thought he be, and when he give her a answer she wasn’t expecting it feel like she turn to Destiny.
Love the questions
Imagine talking to some random and being like "so what are your deepest insecurities" bruh I'd stay 100ft away from her. I dont even know you and you're trying to act like we best buds.
She is super open like that but it was also partially retaliatory if I recall.
@@jackmiddleton2080 bro her “insecurity” was HARDLY what I would call “vulnerable” 😂
She just wanted to put Aba on the spot. But asking someone that question when you have NO personal relationship….
Is effing creepy af 😂❤
You’re soft. And youtube is not a real life hang out session.
Aeila, Brittany and Lav in a debate moderated by Destiny would have been the best
No shot Destiny legitimately thinks he’s likable.
He’s one of the least likable people online, lmao.
He’s only unlikable if you have dogshit takes on every topic.
Really take note of destiny’s debate tactic: if a word doesn’t fit your argument, change the definition of that word.
Yea cuz definitions are all universally written by god and etched into the sands of time ❤
@@Macheako There are these things called "dictionaries". If words can mean anything then they mean nothing...

@@TheSeth256 Who makes those Dictionaries? The Ministry of Truth?
@@TheRealZeke2003 Nice sarcasm, but the answer is: most accomplished and trustworthy scholars of the most civilised countries. PhD titles used to mean something before the modern abomination of an education system destroyed it.
I love the use of the Lex Friedman thumbnail pictures for your thumbnail, except Aba 😂
We gotta start a GoFundMe to get Aella some headphones. Great convo
Love this convo! Please more of this 🙏
Such a cool convo!
Ok this trio needs a podcast or to make this kind of combo a weekly thing
Desiring 1000 children that you are not raising means you have a massive lack of understanding of morality.
I think the assumption is that they're being well cared for by the people raising them. Like being adopted by couples who can't have children of their own. I agree it's still pretty fucked up though. I went on that rankings site they mention to work out my own priorities, and that was just about at the bottom of the list.
@@thegrinderman1090 I have additional context that she actually is considering doing it in real life. So I know that she is willing to do it without the assumption of the kids being taken care of.
That part where Aba and Destiny dropped everything to do a test was the most testosterone thing I've ever seen in my life. They were presented with a toy and had to play with it.
TRANS MEN HAVE MORE TESTOSTERONE.
What's the correlation?
@@3self.95
Truly a testosterone fueled action.
@@meltedWax169😂😂😂 Right?!
This has definitely been the best destiny video I’ve watched in a while. I loved this girl! She was so sweet and so funny! 💜
This conversation made my overthinking brain tingle with "pleasure".
Thumbnail: Sex Friedman Podcast 😔
Aella is always saying things that make it sound like she exists in a very small bubble. What the hell was that anti-virus comment about?
I REALLY LOVED THIS CONVERSATION... YOU 3 SHOULD DO A PODCAST!
CENTER INDEPENDENT
RIGHT /LEFT LEANING ... I JUST AM A CENTRIST I THINK
The way this girl wrote in the article was most anxiety ridden cynical view of social interaction. Nothing said there is remotely unique.
in german, I'm sorry is "it does me suffering"
German has no chill 😂
"It makes me sorrow" is a better translation. And "I'm sorry" is basically today's use of it. Sorrow and sorry are linked, it just developed over time.
Es tut mir leid😢
@@Aliyaaaa Ist mir egal. Heul woanders. : )
Interesting. “Compassion” is from Latin for “to suffer with,” so that makes sense to say “it does me suffering” because an apology is supposed to be a way to show compassion.
Destiny's deepest insecurity: betrayal.
Which also fits into the relativity aspect, as cheating could or should be apart of it, all aspects of betrayal are my deepest insecurities, idk how destiny has a relative approach to these things or if that's just the image he wants to give off
maybe because he cheats on his partners.
that's not really an insecurity....
I hate how naive Destiny can be, You did attack Sneako on a personal level,, Andrew Tate is Sneakos "significant other"
“IM SUPER LIKEABLE WHAT DO YOU MEAN”
Wow never heard someone talk about so much but say so little and just fall back to generalisations. I get its a short voice chat but dont try to psychoanalyse people you barely know, just comes across as cooked.
She is a combination of a super insecure woman, someone pretending to have autism, and someone trying to usurp both of those realities by feigning upmost confidence and self awareness. This is why it is such a vapid conversation
I'm too sexist to listen to 3 women talk about their feelings for 80 minutes.
Aella is one of those unredited cenobytes that escaped from the set of hellraiser.
YES. I was waiting for more Aella content.
Aella is way too weird about Aba
SHE WANTS THA EXOTIC MAN OBVIOUSLY..
Peak content tuned into the stream and already expierenced this gem
Aella definitely the best orbiter by far. Love listening to how she puts things together and her perspective on things. Burn sneako bridge and fortify the Aella bridge please.
I enjoyed this one, thanks
Kidney stones are hardcore. My first time I was just. Throwing up, for days, from the sheer amount of pain.
I think if it happens in the middle of a long depression someone might jump of a building.
@Jack Middleton Honestly, I'm kinda glad I went through it. It didn't happen that first time, which was the worst. But after the next time or so. I dunno. My body just entered this. Almost trance-like state, probably producing chemicals to help handle the pain. But it's also a big state of mind type thing. I'm glad I experienced that. I may need to weather terrible pain again some day.
Is this really the only Aella and Aba interaction, I need more
Never knew who Aella was. But she opened my mind while I was listening to the stream live. Destiny should have her on more often.
sorry but how the fuck do you not know aella at this point

Good talk. Kinda wish it went longer.
In the spirit of her graphs, if there was a graph of people destiny gets on stream from best to worse, her and Aba would be at the top
"I don't like to shower"
"I don't like to eat"
"I prefer typing than talking"
the "this is such an out of the norm statement she should realise it being a 'rational' as she claims to be" list is increasing
Lies. Destiny's biggest insecurity is being told Sneako is better than him.
