      #askDerrick recently In the media there has been information about studies conducted in Russia in 1950s where vaccines for viruses such as polio are used to provide temporary protection for other viral illnesses such as COVID-19. Do you see this as a viable pathway until a vaccine is developed?

      @@xCaptxCrunchx There are only a few reports of pets (dogs and cats) who allegedly tested positive for this virus worldwide. The ones who were not allowed to go outside of the home shows the only source would be the owner, but due to the low number of cases no studies are in effect.

      @Annette Königsheim that would be illegal and against the constitution. You can only make it legal at private properties and businesses.
      Problem is who ,CDC and top experts said do not wear masks for 5 months.
      Now wear them on month 7 of the western world outbreak... it's all deliberate. I had a mask since November because I used my own brain and don't wait for " expert's"

    • @maggie7843
      @maggie7843 4 года назад +7

      @ mike bobbings you mentioned CDC so it’s safe to assume you’re referring to the US here. The constitution allows for states to exercise their police powers in order to create more stringent laws to keep their citizens safe. For instance, Gov Newsom of CA has authority under the California Emergency Services Act to require Californians wear face masks in public settings involving social interactions. Each state’s policy for COVID-19 will vary.

    There are currently people out there who have contracted this virus a second time. One particular case was of a 41-year-old female in good health with a healthy diet and lifestyle. She contracted the virus and got a very severe case. After weeks of recovery, she started to resume her regular, daily activities. Three months later, she contracted the virus again. It came on faster and was even more severe. She nearly died. If she had immunity, it didn't last very long. Take this thing seriously!!

      Tom Jones, your doctor is right about Covid-19 being "weaponized." The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill was doing GAIN OF FUNCTION research to make Coronaviruses more contageous and more lethal. Numerous scientists objected to the Federal Government, because GAIN OF FUNCTION research is dangerous and does not provide any benefit. So the Federal Government put a moratorium on GAIN OF FUNCTION research in the USA.
      So guess where the research was moved to: I kid you not, Wuhan China! In fact, two of the researchers at U. of N. C. at Chapel Hill, were from Wuhan China. Not kidding! But it gets worse. Dr. Fouci, as Dir. of Infecious Diseases at the NIH, signed a $3.7 Million grant to guess where, for the banned GAIN OF FUNCTION dangerous and worthless research: The lab at Wuhan China, where Covid-19 originated! This is all documented in different places in the Internet. And the lab in Wuhan China, where Covid-19 originated also received another $3-4 Million grant from the USA, putting the total at around $7.7 Million!
      I have also read reports that the Covid-19 virus looks like it had human help, so to speak. That it did not appear to mutate naturally. And another thing that is suspicious, is that the information above is not mentioned on the mainstream media, so they don't want the general public to know about it. I glad you have not caught Covid-19!
      Oh one more thing. Scientists have been working on Coronavirus vaccines for 20 years. But the Coronavirus vaccines caused Cytokine Storms in laboratory animals, so they stopped and fortunately did not experiment on humans. And a special weird deal about this dangerous vaccine... is that the Cytokine Storms did not occur right away, in those lab animals, but with the NEXT virus the animals were exposed to. I will NOT get any type of Coronavirus vaccine.... not with what's been revealed about them! Many victims will not realize the cause and effect.... since they will be separated by time. Sad.

      Current mortality rate is 3.9%, globally. Of the most recent coronaviruses, COVID-19 is the least deadly. SARS mortality rate is around 15% and MERS has a mortality rate of around 30-40%. As of the time I am writing this, out of the 16,396,954 reported cases, there have been 651,902 deaths, or a mortality rate of just under 4%. Is COVID-19 killing people? Absolutely. But, the mortality rate is considerably lower than previous coronavirus-related outbreaks. What makes it more concerning isn't the mortality rate, but the infectiousness. Data obtained via the CDC and WHO.

    QUESTION FOR DERRICK: Do you anticipate any unintended consequences of isolation, mask wearing, and social distancing on public health, especially as it relates to those whose immune systems are not being "challenged" by common illnesses that would otherwise be spread among the population? I imagine a year or more of not being exposed to pathogens might make many of us (especially children whose immune systems are still developing) increasingly susceptible to illness once we finally get back out in society without such protective measures.

    Mutations happen all the time and it's important to differentiate between functional mutations and non-functional ones. Non-functionally mutated viruses don't behave differently than the not mutated ones. So, just knowing *that* a virus has mutated tells you nothing before you know what kind of mutation it is and if and how it affects the form or behaviour of the virus.

    Actually we should be studying the "G" mutation, noticed first in France in March and is what most of Europe and the US is mostly infected with, and questioning if the higher viral load, especially in the upper respiratory tract, and suspected 5 to 10 times higher contiguous factor is changing the potential for pre symptomatic and asymptomatic spread and airborne transmission...

    • @Defectedinthehouse89
      @Defectedinthehouse89 4 года назад

      Correct, thats why now they are kind of admitting the fact that this virus is airborne. That happens because the amount of virus particles shed by the new mutated strain are much higher. In general in virology a virus that manages, on average, to infect with an higher viral load in short times is more deadly. This happens because in small doses the body has the time, before it gets to the alveoli, to build a first level of immune respose via igm. Thats why they are saying now that they saw a "novel" probably "viral" and "more deadly" pneumonia in kazakstan. They are inventing a geographic local where the virus became more deadly to prepare people psicologically. But it might well be that it mutate in china or italy or south america.. the only hope is that the new strain (the deadlier one) gets contained, at the moment the prevailing one is the 614g, but not info was release on the latest, deadlier version emerged

    Citing only the opinion of the WHO regarding effective medicines isn't a good idea, as the WHO is very slow to adopt to newly gained knowledge and also tends to refuse to acknowledge when they've been wrong about something. Also, the WHO has taken the results of a study regarding HCQ for granted just because it was published in The Lancet, although it didn't pass any peer review, was obviously full of errors and should never have been published at all. Both The Lancet and the WHO are at fault here. Recent studies are now showing positive results for both HCQ and Ivermectin. This has obviously not reached your expert yet, since he's relying on WHO information only. May I remind that journalism is about actively researching topics, not just citing one single, major source?

    ♦️A question!
    We know that vaccines that are attenuated viruses, in order to survive during transport globally, should be kept refrigerated or frozen during transport. We know that foods incl. meat, fish, ... are transported in the fridge and there have been several viruses spread in meat and food markets and food factories globally.
    Is it possible that eg imported meat's surface can be infected with viruses and from hanging meat in cold stores or on meat market spreads viruses in the air and infects staff and visitors who breathe in contaminated air?
    In addition, that in a month or so COVID-19 could spread only via traveling from Wuhan who had been in quarantine (somewhat late) to almost every corner and island in the globe seems unlikely. Therefore, for example, can refrigerated preserved international cargo play a role in pandemic development?
    Could not this be the reason that many countries despite, mouth guard duty, testing, isolation can not get rid of viruses and outbreaks occur especially in meat and food factories and markets in these countries? Eg in South Korea, Germany, Beijing, ...
    In that case, it would be simply like posting in the refrigerator virus to which address in the world and when it is desired to start the second or third wave. PS! Probably as a consumer there is no risk of infection because the meat is cooked and vegetables are washed and rinsed. The risk is more for those who work in food factories, cold stores and markets if there is an infected product.

      I'm thinking of the 'Process' of infection & contamination. As example Hospitals & Nursing HOme's long term residence's' have reaccuring illnesses. In Theory, it never goes away. MRSA as example. So this covid thing already is resistant'....now what. Yes, I agree with the food chain risks. That the virus/germ/bug whatever just recontaminates everything?
