You create the most beautiful paintings!! I love your composition and your work!! Thank you for sharing!! Sometimes I wish you did voice overs but your text is very good to explain what you do!! Thanks you!!
Thank you so much for your kind words :) I appreciate your support! I’m trying to save my voiceovers for my online classes, hopefully they will be ready soon :)
Just found your channel and have watched nearly your whole playlist back to back!! You have some raw talent and are truly an inspiration! Thank you for a wonderful afternoon. Now to try my hand at painting. :) Much love
🤗Welcome to my Channel and Thank you so much 😊 Thats really nice to hear that, I appreciate your words. Comments like yours inspire me to paint and post more. Have a wonderful weekend! Thank you 🐳🐬
Have you ever tried doing super surreal watercolor paintings before? I believe that you would be great at it and that it could be a fun challenge for you to try. Obviously I'm not you and I can't control what you paint, it is your art, but I would simply love to see how you would complete such a project. I love your paintings, your techniques, and the music you play in the background of your videos. 💙
Hi :) Thank you so much for your comment, I appreciate your thought, but I gotta be honest abstracts or surreal is not really for me, I mean surreal to maybe certain point would be ok, I'm more of a realistic painter, have you seen my Horse painting? I think that's as far as I have gone "surreal" the horse looks almost like a Pegasus :)
Hey there Maria! Just found your videos and subscribed right away! You paint amazingly and I love the fact that you give time to teach us a few stuff and techniques that other RUclipsrs don't really do. Most of them just shows their talent, not really sharing it the way you do -- and I'm really thankful for you! 😊💖
awww that's really sweet what you said, thank you so much! my intentions truly are to share and teach so everyone can paint with my tutorials and become better at it :) I try to make them as easy as possible so thank you so much for your nice comment and appreciating it :) Thank you for joining me here :)
Maria , i will cry😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 i can't explain how much i love it.i wanna draw your all paintings. And i will really cry😢 how. You are my fav artist. Thankyou for share your great painting with us .❤ i love it😢❤
Hi Dan, this one was a request from one of the subscribers so I found few pictures from Warsaw old town -for the buildings, then painted a christmas tree in the middle and added snow :) I usually have something in mind and look for pictures that will help me to put it together, sometimes from pictures, sometimes straight out of my head.. it all depends. Thank you!!
you are AMAZING I appriciat your work so much i alaways enjoy whatching your videos i tried to paint the "northen light" one ,i love it alot plz don't stop making videos i really learn alot from you sorry for bad english thank you ❤
thank you yes i also have used this Technic with painting water color sea doing the white with gouch i did not know it was ok to do it so thanks for also doing it
Amazing painting, I am in awe. The effect of snow is incredible! Do you think using titanium white acrylic paint will give the same effect as white gouache? Thanks so much! Definitely gonna try this one. :)
Hi :) thank you so much! I haven't tried mixing watercolors with acrylics yet but one of my subscribers here has mentioned it worked! so I guess I am going to say yes :))
So beautiful 💕. Wondering why your paint didn't lift when you wet it for the snow. I have trouble with my paint lifting when I paint (glaze) over my previous layer after it has totally dried. Love the snow💕
Wow!! I am in Awe! Your work is beautiful! I really liked the way you painted the tree. And all the colors on the buildings. p.s. some paints will lift and cannot be glazed. it is a trial and error and learning what each different brand of watercolors do.
Hi Kammy, Thank you so much for sharing... I hope you get to paint this one soon. The white gouache was my favorite part but I also believe the paper is the key. I use hot press, 100% cotton 140lb. The smoother, the whiter the better. The paper takes a lot of water in and the paints stay beautiful underneath the white gouache.
+Maria Raczynska Do you typically use a 9x12 pad? I picked up tube white gouache today got home and it has cracks all over bottom of tube. dont want to return cause found 1 left great price. i am going to roll up bottom and tape it.
Hi Kammy, I normally use 10X14 regular pad with sheets, and good luck with the white gouache :) sorry it's cracked... be careful when you squeeze it out even if it's taped. I would like to suggest you test it out first. Maybe paint some very simple background, then spatter white gouache so you can see what happens.. how the snow flakes appear on the wet paint. Then go for the full painting. This way you will understand it better how white gouache works on wet :)
+Maria Raczynska I will be trying this painting next week. I have been using good student grade watercolor paper but I am going to get a couple pads of the good paper that most artists recommend. gotta love the black friday deals!!
Sorry but i didn't record that part. Since my videos are about watercolor and I'm trying to make them as short as possible I didn't record the "pencil sketch" part. But I will consider it into one of my next videos where I do start with more detailed pencil sketch 😊
BTW..... Merry Christmas 2017 to u senior artist...😊🖌🖌📋 these all videos done by you are soo ADORABLE and COMMENDABLE..😚😃😘 I was looking for these itself well I want to know whether are you going to paint in acrylics?? (any plans as such)
Hi Sara 💖Merry Christmas to you😀🤶🏻Thank you so much for your kind words. I do have fluid acrylics at home and I am going to create few tutorials next year so yay!
When I add a wash without covering the paper with water first, my paint dries almost immediately. It doesn't seem like you cover the back ground with water first all the time, so how do you keep it from drying too fast? I also have trouble with there being hard edges. No matter how fast I paint it seems like it dries almost immediately. Even if I add a lot of water to the watercolors and brush.
Hi, that's true I don't always pre-wet my paper before I start covering it with watercolors, but I also use water in my watercolor just enough so I don't need to pre-wet it. Maybe it depends on how much water you put into your brush then dip into the paint itself? Do you use pan watercolor or in liquid form? I use pretty much only liquid, occasionally I will dip into pan but that's only for one color - yellow ochre, cuz right now I ran out of that color in liquid form. My preference is always liquid no matter what. I also prepare my palette before starting to paint. A lot of times I re-use the colors from previous paintings, so I will add water to my dry watercolors, then just dip a brush in water first, wipe it slightly on a towel then go for the pre-diluted paint, then paper, I use hot press 100% cotton 140lb. If I paint sky like in this winter scene where there's no clouds etc, I just go fully with a brush, it's all about the right balance between the water and paint, no matter what paper you use, hot press or cold press. If I was going for the clouds like in my other videos, i would use a paper towel to get rid of the the hard edges. Also the brushes... i use soft brushes maybe that helps? I'm not sure. Thank you.
Maria Raczynska That was incredibly helpful! I use tube watercolors, but I am a beginner so it's a pretty cheap brand, but I am asking for some higher quality kind for Christmas! So maybe my husband will get them for me! 🙂And I also don't think I add enough water to the watercolors. Thank you! What brand of white gouche do you use? I want to buy some of that as well! It adds so much to the painting!!
I'm glad I could help :) Yes, try adding more water and don't worry about wasting paper, you have to practice and test different ways with watercolor. You can buy bigger sheets of paper and cut it in smaller pieces, like greeting card sizes, then test on those, try mixing different colors too, you can learn so much :) I don't disclose name brands here right now but I'm happy to give you all the info via email maria@loveoriginals.com Thank you :)
You should make copies of your drawings before painting. especially this one. then you can scan it and save it then post it so we dont have to draw it. lol. this one keeps calling my name but just a bit too much drawing. tfs
The white gouache seems so magical!
Thank you!
I love your demonstrations, and the music along with the painting. A wonderful gift to the right brain at the end of the day!

Hi, I got some ideas. Beautiful work. It was kind of a fast blur, but did you put white gauche on your finger and then use the brush to flick it off?
Amazing painting, I am in awe. The effect of snow is incredible! Do you think using titanium white acrylic paint will give the same effect as white gouache? Thanks so much! Definitely gonna try this one. :)
Hi :) thank you so much! I haven't tried mixing watercolors with acrylics yet but one of my subscribers here has mentioned it worked! so I guess I am going to say yes :))

Thank you :) Perhaps it's the paper? Maybe if I have used cold press this wouldn't work as well? Not sure why...
Nice!
Thanks Artur!
It’s very soothing to watch you paint ❤️

Sara Mokashi yep....very true.....
I see..... sorry😖 and tysm😃.I will definitely watch some and try to paint those perfect waves....😉
Hello Maria! I was wondering what point perspective drawing the buildings are?
Hi Sara, Thank you, this is one point perspective painting.
Since I don't have white gouche can I use white paint mixed with water instead
Hi Vivian, yes of course! and white gouache is always mixed with water because white gouache is also a watercolor. It's just an opaque watercolor.
Maria Raczynska thank you
👍👍👍
Thank you :)))
Maria Raczynska You're welcome
