- Dave Turin's crew makes a big mistake by cutting landowner's fance to gain access to more gold. It turns out that the fence was there to keep the cows in and with all of them loose, the landowner has nothing else on his mind than to kick the crew off of his property!

100% on the land owner's side. They cut his fence and his cows got loose. I wouldn't have been soo nice about it.
I agree 100% you absolutely do not mess with someone's cattle, the poor guy now has to heard up every head that got loose using hours of his time, they have to be pushed all the way back to where they came from, resulting in them loosing weight and in the long run just cost that rancher money possibly a cow or two he doesn't need to loose
Ummm... that is not what the owner said. The way the second guy translated it made him sound unreasonable, and he was not. Those guys are selfish and lazy... if you cut the fence it was wrong, if you repair the fence do it right.... there is a reason it was there.

That line blew me away considering that cattle is Howie's livelihood. Makes you wonder how Jason would've responded if Howie would've said "gone, all over some stupid metal" in regards to his cows.

Exactly how did Dave get the title of legendary Gold Miner? He only started mining with the Hoffmans. That was a failure every year and he hasn’t been successful on his own. So where does the legend come in?

Love how he tries to redirect responsibility to the cows when he sais "the cows knocked over the fence when we put it back up", a very accountable and responsible individual were dealing with here.

I don’t recall how much school I missed for chasing frkn fkn cows after realizing fence was down.. repairs later and all that I can to forget the sudden disruptions...the man to come along and cut it down owes me a gate with corner posts, but to not go and help retrieve cattle. that was a kind rancher you should go without bein asked

If the cattle got through where they cut The fence then they asked for it from the farmer/landholder. It is something you just don't do is cut the fence without permission because it is never the same.

If they felt that had permission I can see them entering the property... but a quick call to confirm such and properly repairing the fence afterwards was the correct way to do it!

He’s luck it wasn’t Texas laws. We still have fence cutting as a capital offense. I would have told him he’s stopping his operation to round up the cattle, fined him, not let him mine the new ground, then after a month weighed in on kicking the off. Kick the out immediately, they’ll just mess stuff up more and not put the land back.

I love Gold Rush, however, Turin's crew seem extremely scripted for extra drama. IMHO
It's more scripted than Deadliest Catch for sure.

Number one.. you don't do that sort of thing without the landowners permission..
Number two.. in some countries you would be set upon by people with guns and maybe just shot outright for animal rustling..
