this wipe i actually noticed that weight is 1000x more important than ergo in relation to arm stamina, like a pretty maxed out svd to maximize ergo had like 45 ergo and it still drained insanely fast, while a mosin with 3 ergo would last alot longer , i wish stats were better explained ingame
I saw this video during lunch. Went with a m700 (m61) to the same rock at 10:39. Some guy sneaked up to me, I went up killing him with a thorax shot MID AIR went pushing him. My best moment of this wipe. Got away with a modded up m4, tx-15 and great helmet
i've been using this m700 configuration for 3 wipes now. there's another hidden benefit to the m700 nobody talks about and that's the top loading aspect. you only need 1 mag for it, and you can carry high pen bullets with it. so you use lower shittier ammo for scav killing then have some (not many) high pen bullets in safe container to top load in when you're about to pvp.
Great video, this is going to change how I build my SVDs quite a lot. One math note, if you want the absolute minimum baseline for weight affecting arm stamina, you could use the Rangefinder to time it. It's the lowest weight thing you can ADS at 0.218 kg, and probably has 0 ergo since it's not an item stat. I just tested with 30 endurance, got 2:00 until red and 2:29 total arm time from it.
Funny thing about the light M700 build. Found that stock day 1 wipe and put it on the M700 they give you when the game resets, and I haven't lost it. I haven't died with it and consider it my lucky sniper. Anytime I want to go sniping I take it with me.
As a gun nerd running stockless used to be anathema, but it's really interesting in this game. Another thing I noticed is when you get the scavs with stockless vpo/akm you can barrel jam people and maneuver in tight quarters better. Maybe those scavs aren't so dumb after all.
I modeled weight vs ergo. Spot on with it mattering. If I remember correctly weight is roughly 80% of the things it affects. I have a spreadsheet if you are interested. Could have changed since I did it though.
I usually hate bolties and tend to use the VPO with AP because it's so cheap, but this build has really caught my attention ha. It's not even that expensive tbh
Yeah I hadn't looked deeply into the options myself! I've tried sitting up at Dome with him plinking scavs trying to level up sniper but I'm just garbo at it
Honestly, I feel like the stock VPO should be heavier than the stock M700, since a big wood stock like that is gonna be much heavier than what looks like a fiberglass stock on the M700. I might be wrong about the materials, but it's actually shocking how heavy wood furniture really is compared to modern materials
I am glad they added some meaning to gun weight. I hope they add ads penalty based on weapon length or nerf ergo for attachments that make it longer. Why? I believe you already have different animations for running with longer weapon, so I guess it would make sense to also have an effect on handling. Why do I want it? It opens more builds to be viable, but introducing such change would require to boost the base stats of ,most weapons. I want any question related to gear choice to be answered like in AoE2 -> "What is the best team composition?" -> "Well, it depends..." -> everything has to have pros and CONS, so there are gun builds tailored to your playstyle instead of just meta build for any playstyle rendering half of the awesomely modeled weapon parts useless.
Thanks for another excellent video as always!! We’re in sync at the moment because your setup vid was as I was doing setup, and now this when I’m trying to level stamina and do tarkov shooter 😁
Bro the finest game I have ever seen and it played. For the reason of that last fight. And the time you put in to help us understand the big learning curve and hidden stats top notch. Gg bro love it
r700 and t5000 are my favs. the r700 i setup that way my first wipe 2 years ago. and LOVED it. fully ignorant to tarkov and meta shit lmao so fun to run and meme with. whatta task!!!! holy shit. CONGRATS.
Lol I have never celebrated so hard when completing this quest late wipe. It's much harder since ps no longer does 85 thorax. Great video and keep it up!
Great now that I know sj6 works for arm Stam I am about to spend a fortune on stims... and also check out some others. A note on the breath hold mechanic, if you go below about a quarter or eighth of your running Stam you will not be able to get your weapon stabil. Also you can tell where the breath hold mechanic is if you look at you buttstock bounce while not ads'd and standing still. If you are low on breath hold it will move in your shoulder pocket more than when you are at full breath hold.
This is a very educational video in regards to explaining arm stamina. I really wanted to comprehend how ergo vs weight affects things, and this was perfect. HOWEVER, I only found it by looking up on Google and getting a random reddit thread about it. You really should have used a different title. Regardless, great video. Cheers!
I feel like I'll never use a bolty other than 215 lmao. It's just so cost/weight efficient and gets the job done. Maybe I will try the 338 one when I unlock it
The stock M700 with a TAC 30 and a Gemtech are my go to for budget sniper build and I had considered that stock when I saw how light it was but decided just to stick with the standard configuration. I just may have to give this stock and suppressor a go, though I'll stick with the TAC 30 due to cost and weight. ;p
Not the conclusion I wanted to hear :( I kinda hate the m700 idk why. Haha DVL FTW!!!, Good find thou I might keep it in mind to level up my sniper skill
Strength also has an effect on stamina drain when aiming, it is mentioned in the various buffs that strength skill displays, under ”Aiming drains less stamina”. Interestingly, I ended up using the SIG Sauer SRD762Ti suppressor because I thought it was lighter, but I’ll start using the thunder beast suppressor after I double check my work. That particular m700 as well as the new sv-98 have been my go-to’s because of their low weight this wipe. The main downside with the AICS build is that you cannot use a RAPTAR range finder, and switching to a handheld isn’t super great, which is where the sv-98 build tends to fair better.
@@freshdachs6200 the problem with that is the recknagel looks ugly and having a goofy rangefinder on top of it looks ugly too, as well as it adds a whole .5kg on to the gun
Hey there, i was wondering if u could make a guide about pmc kills on shoreline for punisher part 4, maybe like guns to use etc. I am aware of the existing video but its kinda outdated and u didnt actually had to use the scav vest so it will be nice to see a little updated video.
I used M61 because of Tarkov Shooter 8 and you don't use that much ammo, and yes I do. Usually set default to 100m, then range it up to 200/300 if necessary and put it back to 100 after
Honestly, you could test the difference between ergo and weight by just taking something like an ADAR, building a minimum functional requirements build to minimize the weight and make a max ergo build to compare. There should be a significant difference in both weight and ergo to see just how much more weight impacts it.
i fucking despise this wipe. lmao. my godamned vudu task is bugged. i completed the task. got the rewards thru the message mail. but. cant buy vudu from jaeger. so my vududs are still 80k form flea. so i refuse to run vudus. as ive done the godamned task. i reported it to bsg thru the bug report. i got a response " thank you, this has been documented and moved to show the devs" i ask if anything is gonna be done to my account to remedy the bug. a resounding "NO this instance will be worked on to not be repeated in the future." The M700 AICS is a gem. Cheap but modded, good ammo, enough Ergo...
It and a G17 are my Sniperbabies.

It is scary as I thought about now using SJ6 for long-term sniper holds, less than a week ago...then you come out with this 😳

The dedicated sniper nerd in my group always uses the suppressed DVL - was surprised to see it didn't come up for consideration
Just heavy is all, 5.1kg to start with. It's fine in a group if you can prone somewhere but as a solo the weight is pretty ugh
Yeah I hadn't looked deeply into the options myself! I've tried sitting up at Dome with him plinking scavs trying to level up sniper but I'm just garbo at it
Do you know if having max strength affects how long you can ads for because it makes the gun "weightless"?
Bump
it’s a MASSIVE difference if they haven’t changed anything since last wipe
Max endurance enables longer ADS
No they do not only endurance does
it does, massive difference too
13:15 oh what a shame that one on the left went unnoticed lol
ACIS m700 is my goto bolty. Light, decent ergo, cheap, it has it all

Applying your own logic, you are better off using the 5-round mags in the AICS M700.
You reduce the weight of the weaponby 320g AND add 5 ergo.
