  • Storm Chaser Jeff Piotrowski headed to The Southern Rolling Plains of West Texas on May 4 2022 to capture imagery of SEVERAL tornadoes. The day was a Moderate Risk Day by the Storm Prediction Centers Standard and a very Volatile Day for Tornadoes. After seeing multiple tornadoes across the West Texas as night fell, an EF-3 tornado developed Northwest of Jeff's location and near Lockett, Texas. A huge damaging tornado rolled into the town of Lockett, TX with Jeff in hot pursuit. A gust of wind in excess of 75mph pushed his chase vehicle to the ditch and he had to abandon the chase. Terry Schenk a storm chaser from Florida brought equipment to Jeff to pull him out of the ditch. Even though Jeff was stuck on the side of the road he still shot footage and live streamed from his vehicle as the tornado hit Lockett, TX. Kat Piotrowski had to stay home for a scheduled appointment and missed this storm chase. After seeing the footage she knew she had to get the video on their RUclips channel as quickly as possible.
