You did a good job. I cook at waffle house. So no disrespect but, turn down your heat. You want to have the surface heat of your pan around 275 or lower. Which is about the 5-6 dial on the dial on most people household stove.
Waffle House will make you an eggspert within a week. They're very good at eggs and omelets. Strangely enough the ONLY thing I don't like there are the waffles :-)
U talk too much. U say butters the best but u dont use it 😂 And there is more to cooking the sunny eggs. Ur other eggs need help too. Its a fail for me
I got confused and couldn’t keep watching after the “large egg” is bigger than “medium egg” thing. I’m wondering where small ones might feature on the list? 😏😊
It's a matter of preference, I love the crispy little brown bits on the edges of a well done eggs. I also love a runny yolk on a properly cooked over easy egg.
"If you go too high you're gonna crack the egg open and you don't want to crack the egg open" Well if you don't crack the egg then how is the egg cooking?

Heat to hot . From sunny side up to done . The eggs look like rubber eggs. Eggs don’t need to bubble they are your eggs fix the way you like . Everyone’s taste is different taste. I like 4 minuet eggs in shell. I’m sure I’d get criticized. I bet you thought that’s what I was doing . No I. Was condensing what people was telling you even those were your eggs.
Pan too hot. All runny eggs are overcooked. Waffle house guy is right. Sunny side up couldnt even be cut. But thank you for the video. It is appreciated.
I've watched several of these how-to-cook egg videos, and every one of them says to heat it differently. One says "low," one says "medium-low," and now this one says "medium high." I've decided there is no proper way, and every cook is just making it up as they go along.
Put oil in pan and heat to 400F, add two eggs, COVER and let cook on high heat for one minute. Turn off heat and let cook for about one more minute or less. Two fried eggs in less than two minutes. I've used this method for years and it never fails me.
I was always taught not to get the browning on my eggs. I worked in a resturant for a couple years. They wouldn't serve them with brown. They had us cook them on low to medium low heat. I agree with that to this day. The browning on an egg tastes gross to me.
As a beginner cooker guy, I find making dippy eggs nearly impossible. I've been trying unsuccessfully for 35 years now. About a week ago I tried again and for a solid week, I failed nearly every damn time. I have trouble with every single step. The first step, breaking the eggs is so damn hard and you didn't explain in any detail how its done. I've tried everything in my power to make dippy eggs and its just not going to happen until I learn the basics of cooking. I compare these cooking tutorials to teaching someone how to drive a manual transmission in a car. Its like telling a beginner to get in the car, press in the clutch, put it in gear and go and its so easy. But in reality, I don' know what a clutch is, I don't know where there clutch pedal is, I don't know how far to push in the clutch pedal, do I put a foot on the brake pedal too, what gear should I start with, how do I get to 5th gear, when do I let the clutch pedal out, how fast do I let the clutch pedal out, why is the car violently jerking, when do I press the gas pedal, which foot do use for the gas pedal, do I use the same foot for the clutch pedal, why is the car stalling, do I have to push in the clutch pedal to re-start the car, whats that burnt smell etc etc etc. THIS is what watching these tutorials are like. Its impossible to find any good tutorials on the basics of cooking, especially since all I want to know is how to cook dippy eggs and have no interest in cooking anything else. I can't find a single video on how to cook dippy eggs for the COMPLETE beginner. I don't know if I'll ever understand cooking. I wish I could just microwave some eggs...
over easy is more cooked than medium...... First things first.......throw away that piece of ^%*&% pan, get yourself a cast iron skillet......learn how to season the skillet.......then learn how to cook with it ever notice how small large eggs are now?
Not sure we can trust the opinion for eggs with someone that uses two hands to crack the egg, and why are all american eggs so perfectly (genetically engineered and NOT natural in any way) white? Butter. Butter is the only thing you should be ever cooking an egg in..
Scratched pan..not good....egg a little overcooked on bottom...maybe do a re-do of this video. An overcooked egg on bottom not only spoils the taste but makes for a more well done egg and not very pleasant to chew.
Literally all wrong. Never use a scratched Teflon pan, they're dangerous. Never spray on a hot pan. It literally says that on the can. Don't fry eggs on such high heat. Either medium or low and slow. Don't season a fried egg during the beginning of cooking. It makes it tough. Etc etc etc
Cracking an egg on a flat surface decreases the chance of pushing eggshell inward. Mixing your scrambled eggs with a whisk incorporates air into them, making them fluffier. I like my eggs over well! They're so delicious!
This is how you cook, not the classical versions. Your burner is way too hot. Crispy edges, poch marked ugly, brown overcooked bottom. You did no research on the classic versions. Waste of time watching bad instructions.
Egg producers and sellers know that people love eggs, so they charge more for larger eggs. It doesn't cost any more in feed to the chicken for it to lay a large egg or a small egg.
Commercially the size of eggs is determined by the weight of a dozen eggs. Medium eggs are 21 ounces per dozen. Large are 24 ounces. They go up 3 ounces at a time.
feels funny to watching you making eggs(used to games and pi4 images haha) i love eggs. im myself a breakfast cook in a hotel:) thousands of eggs and omelets
thanx for showing the 4 types of frying egg; sunny side up, over-easy raw, over-easy medium and over-easy well done. I fried my first egg for my mom. thought she wanted it sunny side up, turns out she wanted it over-easy. so brought it back to the stove to finish it. I over cooked it, but it was what she wanted, over easy well done.
LMAO no it is the original stove though that came with the house, we be cheap. I have since moved and just installed an induction cooktop what a difference!
i see cast iron pans talk about frying eggs...not sure why? Drew's teflon coated common pan seemed just fine. And the comments suggest you dont need a crazy hot and heat retaining pan that a cast iron pan would be good choice. interesting idea about finishing in the oven or for large number of eggs. Retro gamers need to eat too and this egg video made me very hungry :)
Because you can cook each of these eggs without any thick brown skin that's hard to cut through and grosser to chew. The Browning in this case is factually overdone or burnt. All good though friends

Dude, I really like my eggs fried and crunchy! It seems I'm alone on this, though.

I’m the same. I want the yolks completely cooked and a little crunch around the edges. No runny yolks!

lower heat can be controlled easier

Flip the pan with your wrist only … GENTLY!
Move the pan first, so the egg slides inside it.

In my opinion, the white of the egg should never be cooked to a brown state. It imparts a burned taste.
sizzling sound is nice but heat is too high
What number should the heat be on like for example 6 or 7 number?
