So this song has finally hit me harder than I ever expected it to... I use to listen to this song years ago when I was dating. When things didn't work out with my love life, I would pretend as if it didn't phase me much and like Tamia said, I'd play the circus clown around my friends who were in relationships and just act like I didn't want marriage and children, etc...but deep down inside, I was dying for it all. I married a guy to help him get his green card, we divorced in about a year or so, I never slept with that man a day in my life. I honestly did it to help him out as a friend, plus I was only 20 years old, I thought what was the harm, right....fast forward to years later, I finally find a guy who's the complete opposite of what I thought was my type, he was just getting divorced and we connected like immediately.... We got married a year after dating, we then got pregnant with my 1st kid and his 4th. He has 3 with his ex wife... Things were so awesome we ended up having our 2nd the following year...everything was great! I finally had that love that all girls daydream about. Then he and myself decided to start our spiritual journey and find God, cause of course we want to raise our children up right and have God at the head of our household; and he stumbles across pastor Gino Jennings, and he teaches us that second marriages are sinful and we will burn in everlasting hell if we divorce and remarry while our first spouse is still alive...being that we both were married prior to our marriage, things started to change. Our warm and cozy home became very cold and depressing and very painful knowing that I'm losing the only thing I've ever asked God for, which was a family....I never wanted to have children out of wedlock, nor did I want to be a single mother..... The pain felt daily is indescribable, knowing that as each day pass, I'm a day closer to losing my husband and life as I have grown to know..... I'm currently still going through this separation process. Although we are technically still living together, parenting and working together on necessities like bills, we have disconnected in so many ways. There's no intimacy, there's no sex, there's no emotional feelings and it hurts. It hurts so bad daily....so this song now, has definitely reached an all time peak on how I receive and interpret it now...😢
