    What a guy you are ! Fantastic ! I'm glad mr Strauss could not hear you : he might have been attacked from arrogance. And that is something that seems to fail you completely . But maybe I 'm totally wrong . Maybe that the eyes of me Strauss would have been filled with tears , like mine.
    Thank you for the beautiful playing , for sharing your live with us.

      This is extremely kind of you, I appreciate it very much! Playing this music is a humbling experience, I try to get lost in the music and don't think about myself too much, it really feels like chamber music with the orchestra and having this support from my colleagues and friends and a fantastic conductor made it very enjoyable experience!

    Amazing! In the past we could only expect performances of this level if names like Rampal, Solti or others of this caliber were involved. And then only if you were lucky! This extraordinarily beautiful piece (the last composed by Strauss, I believe) is played here by these almost anonymous young people and Marin Tinev (never head heard of him!) with a perfection, a balance and a musicality that leaves me breathless. And I am a 75 years old man that have many, many auditions of these concerto under my belt! Congratulations to you all and all the best in your futures!!

  • @EASYTIGER10
    @EASYTIGER10 8 лет назад +1

    Bravo! Exquisitely played. I've practiced this many times, but never performed it! I find the hardest thing is the enormously long phrases! I found myself nearly passing out sometimes from lack of oxygen! How do you deal with the oxygen starvation? :)

    • @BeyondOboe
      @BeyondOboe  8 лет назад +7

      Thanks for you comment! I agree with you that the long phrases are the biggest challenge with this concerto and in order to achieve musically what Strauss wanted we need to have a very solid technical preparation in a sence to have comfortable reed so it's easier to stay relaxed during the difficult moments. The most important i would say is to stay very calm in your head. It's amazing actually how long one can carry on without breathing. It's a bit like swimming under water. If you find yourself lacking oxygen i would suggest to take deeper breaths and practice long notes. In practicing Strauss Concerto make sure you plan exactly your breaths and train patiently and i can guarantee you, you will be on the right track.

    Qué espíritu tan aventurero, realmente me siento en un "quest", es como ver las cosas desde un plano supranatural. Técnicamente hablando es impecable, tiene un equilibrio en la forma, formidable, hace brillar la tonalidad mayor usando "el resto de las notas" como lo que realmente son, es un dominio absoluto de la tonalidad extendida. Y no se diga d ela forma, el estilo, tan refinado, en todo el sentido de la palabra, pues se ha refinado la música clásica antigua y se ha llevado a terrenos que rebasan lo humano incluso.
