- It's true! The one thing that the rest of the world knows the Asian community for is our weddings. But are they remembered for the right reasons? The line that you'll hear the most say is, "Oh the parties and the food is amazing!", or "The clothes are so beautiful!", but when was the last time you heard someone saying that the Anand Karaj was amazing or Guru Sahib's Ramala Sahib looked beautiful?
The Sikh wedding is a ceremony that should be centred around the Guru. After all, it is the Guru that the Sikhs walk around when getting married. The problem is that we have become heavily focused on how we look, the photos we take, and the venue for the party afterwards. How many of us know the meanings of the words being recited as we walk around Guru Granth Sahib Ji?

That 100K could have gone towards building Basics of Sikhi Visitor centers for Parchar. By the way, could we please get some sort of update on the Amritsar visitor center?
I don't think they are working on that anymore. It's so old of a topic and no one ever talks of it anymore.
It might have put on hold due to Covid-19. The more I watch different you tubers (especially foreigners) going to Amritsar, the more I see the need for that visitor center.
Can anyone tell me if masturbation breaks Amrit and is one of the four cardinal sins. I masturbated a couple of times after Amrit due to my ignorance but haven’t done it in a long time. Work for the Amritsar Sahib Centre is still going ahead, main work is focused around the architecture of the building, internal and external. Things are moving slowly, but steadily with Guru Sahibs kirpa.
Just in response to other comments, that we've 'stopped' working on this project - this is completely false ji.
Things might be moving slowly, but when Sri Guru Raam Das Ji wants the project to be complete it will be and with their blessings parchaar will be done from that centre to the best of our abilities.

Thats one thing im happy with that I was able to get married during covid all we had was the Anand Karaj at the Gurdwara Sahib and because she is Hindu we had a Hindu ceremony as well which was in the backyard of my in laws ... No reception saved the 40k was gunna spend on it and put it down on a house

Excellent podcast from religious history to current modern day weddings. Nowadays we will even see rubbish like £5000 on post marriage event promoted, when truth is marriage was to become 1 with guru.

1 thing is really shameful about these NRI sikhs who do not know the history of sikhism,they portray hinduism different t han sikhism and criticize many things about hinduism,which is not the case our gurus started sikhi but never denied their hindu roots,but here these people are doing completely opposite which is sad to watch.i am not talking about this video but overall this channel. Please resemble with the roots and dont say bad things about sanatan dharam

Sikhism is clearly seperate from hindu religion.
Have u read or heard of asa di vaar? It is a part of guru granth sahib ji and shows that manu hindu practises are fruitless and caste means nothing, this is just a some. Gurbani of bhagats directly goes against idol worship. Sggs says there is only one true god and shows other gods and goddesses as falsa, which is aginst all 30 000 000 hindu gods and goddesses.
If sikhi was apart of hinduism then why would it attack and expose the very roots of hinduism for being falsehoods and fruitless?
If sikhism was part of hinduiam why would hindu mobs go and kill 30 000 sikhs in november 1984? Were they killing themselves?
Why wouls hindu leaders betray, scam and lie to sikh leaders if they are both the same.
Why constitutiond iscrimate aginst only sikh majority state , amendment allows for 5 years president rule. Punjab state govt cant control river water and gets less than 75% of its riparian watwr whixh is against international riparian law.
