2004 Volkswagen Touareg V8 Muffler delete + Secondary Cats Delete

- 2004 Volkswagen Touareg V8. The rear suitcase muffler removed and replaced with pipes. The Secondary Cats are also removed and replaced with pipes. It sounds pretty good but a bit too loud in the interior because of the cats. I know it's the cats because my previous 2004 Touareg V8 only had muffler delete and I loved it, no complaints. I have the secondary cats with me and soon they will be back on the car
I would suggest to anyone wanting louder exhaust, just do muffler delete as that is perfect. You can have conversation inside the car without any problem and also a nice sounding car at the same time.

Idk about in person, but that sounds wayyy better than the v10
The car sounds pretty much the same in person just like in the video. Definitely sounds way better than the v10. The V10 sounds like a semi truck or something. I sold this car and I have another one that has just a muffler and nothing else. I will upload that soon.

My 2005 Touareg V8 also got a muffler delete/ custom straight pipe. I live in Iceland, so its legal.
The noise in the cabine is hard on the limit, specialy on the back seats :D.. Oh okey I just saw the text under the video. I should probably do that too, its a bit too loud.
Did you remove the secondary cats too or did you just do muffler delete?
@@micheldiarra7 Im not 100% sure about the english words for it. I removed this bathtub sized muffler in the back atleast. Replaced it with custom straight pipes.

I would say do only the muffler delete. Go to a muffler shop and tell them you want a muffler delete. clink this link. If you are not used to driving in a "loud" car, the first few hours after getting the muffler delete done will be a little difficult if and when you get it done. Did it give you any check engine lights after the cat delete?
No because the Touareg has 4 cats, 2 primary and 2 secondary. Only the primary cats deals with emissions. The secondary cats are only there as an extra silence. It is very restrictive, so it let’s your engine breathes a little better. No check engine light.
