I NEED MLB The Show 25 to be a big step up in more ways than one. To me, it felt like SDS waited until CFB dropped to actually start putting out solid content consistently and that really rubbed me the wrong way. I need next gen exclusive, a reworked hitting interface, a better Franchise mode, a better Road to the Show mode, AND fun content all year to start believing in SDS again.
I’ve been running that cornerstone mussina captain boost in ranked and it’s great (even better now that they boosted the stat upgrades). It boosts all HOF pitchers which is most of the best ones in the game
Captains are 99 and hardly anyone is doing team builds. It just shows it wasn’t about variety, it was about not being forced to change and just enjoy the game.
I really wish they had given us one final WS reward program so I had something to grind for with all my cards now available. Outside of that I’m having a blast tinkering with my lineups and rotation
I think that the cover boy will either be Elly De La Cruz, Ketel Marte, or Paul Skenes. I say Ketel because the MLBTS community has the largest hard on for him, and the other 2 because they are young literal super stars.

Since the new season started/last season of 24.. I’ve pulled crazy high ranked cards out of normal mlb packs. Pulled 2 topps now cards (91&97) in back to back packs at one point. Call it what you want but this makes me actually less excited for what may come. Pull rates now vs season 4/last of the game.. never ever ever ever pulled one topps now out a mlb pack let alone 2 in back to back packs. Just Sayin

And you should revisit your video of doing the worst captain, even with all the newer captain boosts, might be kind of fun (its probably Santana or rube foster)

I know the community hates sets and seasons but what happens if they release a super good card and it’s an absolute pain to deal with and every game you play is just going against the same cards. Wouldn’t that get boring, the only good thing about sets is we get to see new stuff more often I know I’m in the minority here
The power creep prevents some of this. Also for the rare 99s/annoying cards, we already had that. Collection cards were 99s, John Donaldson/randy Johnson still happened.
No it's not. Ever since 99 Donaldson and randy were released that's all you see for pitchers. Everyteam is almost 95% the same as well. Trout, acuna, mantle, belli, Rollins, Polanco, chipper, and pasada line up 90% of the time lol

After that 3rd week its probably nothing but a new card in a pack for a few weeks til SDS is done with 24 just like last year. Just hope we get a new Griffey Jr before they are done.

I think the people who quit the game before completing a game should be punished somehow. It's bullshit that they can play and then they get their feelings hurt then quit.
Nope. Everyone is a 99. Guys you've never heard of get 99s. They need to plot out all their players and make a 99 meaningful. Then they never have to have seasons because players continue to build upward. Or they can still have 99s (though make them meaningful) and insist that teams have bands of players you can use in most content, such as X number of 95+, X 90-95, etc. This way you always have a choice, but never have a pure 99 team. It makes team building actually mean something and then they can make the game less twitchy maybe for us newbs?
That’s good tho, more 99s gives people flexibility and diversity when making a lineup, no matter who their favorite team is. When there’s only x amount of 99s ppl will grind for those and only use those it’ll be the same lineup everytime.
