This was a home run from a production standpoint. This should convince Audi that they need you as a regular reviewer in the SW US. Other YT’ers are amateurs compared to this. Bravo!
Just a heads up on the Audis with air suspension, they have a jacking mode that lets the suspension droop fully otherwise they can get damaged. You'll find videos of people not doing it on the RS6 and the bottom of the bag can pop out the wishbones
Yay, Sarah managed to get an Audi, so pleased! As an Audi owner I can't wait watch this one! And yes, totally agree with Sarah, the build quality, attention to detail, performance and overall styling of the Vorsprung durch Technik vehicles is truly awesome. In my humble opinion the best of the best from Germany!
Thoughts: 1. Audi! Nice. I hope they'll finally realize, that they should have sent you other vehicles for review, especially high performance RS and S models. After all you have everything to properly assess and appreciate them - garage with a lift, testing grounds, and passion for cars. 2. Still waiting for an EV that will make "The Jetsons" sounds or Dr Zoidberg's signature woop-woop-woop. 3. Tech data spread over the screen makes my eyes look sideways. 4. Funny thing, when Audi makes a high performance SUV they always end up with a hot hatch, just a big one. 5. Enjoyed the review and completely agree with you about the looks. 👍
Nice to see that a 7 year old Q5 is still comparable, interior feature wise with similar lighting and cheese cupboards in this Q8 e-Tron. Just much smaller more like a 5 door hot hatch. The interior design of this Q8 e_Tron has IMO some fancy schmancy attractive modern styling features. Thank you Sarah ,for the miles of hard work in all of your productions and builds. You are such an exceptional narrator and damn fine entertainer.
Have a great weekend Miss Sarah. Say hey to Charlie and hope his back is doing better Inversion tables are worth their weight in gold for those of us with back issues. Also please push cars if possible rather than pull them. Aloha
A bit surprising it did not have that typical EV torque shove - even my humble Renault Zoe commuter-bubble has it; never lost a stop-light drag race so far even when the other car looks to be much more powerful. That never gets old 😁 So far, the winter has not made a huge difference to my EV-experience other than it is much nicer than in my ICE-car. - Another top notch review and I continue to be impressed that this is just you doing this andnot a big TV production: Perfection, Sarah perfection. Thank you for what you do and Stay Awesome!
The way VWAG designs things is just *chef's kiss*. People bitch about how they are unreliable or money pits, but you can't treat them like a Toyota. There's no other company that builds A-Z like they do. All of this tech eventually trickles down to the Jetta, Golf, Polo etc. You don't get that from other brands.
As a previous owner of an older Audi, this one is insane, with some of the features comes with. German handling is the best in my opinion. Thank you for reviewing this beauty!
Audi reviews are rare on Sarah's channel as the opportunity for her is seldom. May cars by the company 1st founded by August Horch become more frequent. Personally, I like to see you review an RS5 Coupe.
I likely won’t have another Audi for a long time. They don’t really support journalists in the region of the country I live in. Only big cities like LA or NY.
@@RRr-yl8zr They, Audi, are going to direct a majority of opportunities for journalists where their market is most prominent. Markets have a way of fluctuating and being unpredictable as they are regulated by individual consumers. Therefore it may not always be the case that just a select few cities and demographics get better opportunity than others.
A very thorough review. Personally, I find the available torque (for passing and merging) to be more important than off the line torque. One issue I have with ICE Audi is the amount of labor to service and repair engine components. It seems EV in general have the advantage. I too love the interior looks and tech.
While I know that generally you prefer gasoline vehicles for the engagement and the sound, I’m pleased to see that you’re not religious about it. One thing that’s great about this channel, even though the commentary is extra subjective, which isn’t a dig it’s just a fact,is that you take every vehicle as they come. Electric vehicles are very cool, they have some downsides but also some pluses, and I feel like your reviews are pretty even handed most of the time about that.
Where I live in Scotland 🏴 Audi eTron & equivalent Mercedes are certainly the major players in the electric car market and this Audi will certainly make it mark
Here in the greater Boston area, this has quickly become the choice for upper class moms. I have seen a few of the S models, but these are very popular up here!
For some reason, Audi CEO's do not want their EV's to accelerate well. And they are weirdly OK with the competing brands to outperform them at every price level. Also the S version of this car adds way too little to justify the higher price.
Superb German engineering from Audi as always. I can hardly wait until they get into hydrogen in a serious way. I really want to see you review a pure hydrogen or hybrid hydrogen-electric machine. The second with a 10,000psi tank gives a range of close to 1,000 miles on a single fill-up of less than 5 minutes using your credit card just like gasoline! Until the planet catches up I am enjoying every one of your videos, be they reviews, restorations or builds. I never miss a single one.
I really enjoy your wit, knowledge and graphics. A lot of vehicle specs rolled into your funny presentation and cover of the features of the cars. Great job.👍👍🇨🇦 I can’t afford to buy or lease one of these cars but I liked to see what’s available if by chance I win a big lottery.
Love it as always! Just a quick correction though: VW AG -> Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft (similar to a public limited corporation) Keep up the great work ❤
You have to use launch control to get the off the line speed. Dynamic, sport, esc off, hold the brake hard for one second, floor the accelerator till the meter flashes, release the brake.
Damn would be a lot of steps and "work" just to make the car accelerate at its maximum performance. And when I would really want or possibly actually need my best performance acceleration, probably not going to have the time to be messing around with doing all off that. Although it sounds like it Might "perform properly" once the car is already moving? Although I'm starting to think all this "performance/power dampening/power management is done intentionally so that just the sport version seems faster with the same motor setup.
It makes a huge difference. I test drove other EVs like the Kia's, Ford's, etc. and the lower brands all felt "squishy" and like they had a hard time slowing down the heft of an EV. I had a '21 e-tron and now a '24 e-tron and it feels like stopping a normal luxury car.
Before I started watching you, I was watching a history of the movie The Fifth Element. Yes all you have to do is blow on the thing that had the wavy lines on it and see what happens.
I will say, that after having driven a vehicle with almost no physical buttons for radio or hvac, I HATE using a touchscreen in my car for everything. It's also a massive distraction from driving if you're just wanting to change the temp or the vent. Must have buttons.
I could not agree more! Touch screens are an ergonomic disaster and the biggest safety hazard in a modern vehicle, they should be outlawed for any function you need to adjust while driving.
Take some advertising money. Accept a sponsorship. You deserve to make some money. Buy a lot, put up a building and hire a couple of button-scrubbers. It’s a fantastic channel and you work your ass off. Take advantage

They probably mute its power delivery so that the sport version of it, that's probably going to have the same motors, appears to be "faster"😅
Yay! Sarah got to review an Audi! (Cool one, at that.) All is right with the world. 👍
Double foam hands! 👌👌👌
Does anyone else want to be in the backseat with Sarah help discovering all the cool features?
It's acceleration isn't snappy and it doesn't stop as quickly as hoped because the damn thing weighs almost three tons! Nice work as usual. ❤

SARAH!!!!!
Two things to note, you can map the steering wheel heat to the star button, also you can do a launch mode which is faster than just flooring it.
The second downfolding 'armrest' is there to be able to put skies in the car.
I appreciate your capturing the "e-tron" in the top down/rear acceleration shot. Little details...
