(like she was already in surgery, before they would anasthetize her) So I met Shawn back in April, gave him a letter about that friend. He had like no fucking time because he was about to take pictures with 100+ fans at his hotel, but as I was telling him what this letter was about and how important it was to me, he literally walked back to me (I was like the 5th picture and he already took like 5-10 after mine) caressed my arm, promissed me he's going to read this letter, and hugged me by himself, telling me to stay strong and that's he's so sorry to hear that... I am NOT the biggest shawn fan and I didnt even want to take a picture because I think other ppl deserve it more than me, so I just wanted to give him this letter.. So the girl who the autograph was for, has a Twitter and she showed that it actually was for her. That's cool. I still believe that it was okay for Shawn to stand up and defend himself even if he was wrong because the moral of the story didn't have to do with him accusing this guy, it was about Shawn making sure that people aren't selling his autographs. He even told ths guy that but he made it a huge deal instead of just calling his sister. But to get to the point, thank you for making this video so that if someone ever talks bad about Shawn, the Mendes Army can show them this video and tell them how Shawn protected us from potential scams. No. Is that how an average person would probably handle it? Yes. From the full video, you could tell that Shawn has interacted with this man before or has at least talked to him for a minute or so. Shawn had a gut feeling and an inclination that this guy was another scammer. He reacted in a way that anyone would- defensively and cautiously. He had like no fucking time because he was about to take pictures with 100+ fans at his hotel, but as I was telling him what this letter was about and how important it was to me, he literally walked back to me (I was like the 5th picture and he already took like 5-10 after mine) caressed my arm, promissed me he's going to read this letter, and hugged me by himself, telling me to stay strong and that's he's so sorry to hear that...
I am NOT the biggest shawn fan and I didnt even want to take a picture because I think other ppl deserve it more than me, so I just wanted to give him this letter.. I mean, I listen to his album and bought tickets for a show but like thats it.. but after this moment I am sure I've never met somebody more down to earth and heartkinded than him, especially not an artist!!

The only thing he did wrong was that he completely assumed this guy was a scammer. If just in case he wasn't, Shawn's tone would have seemed douchey (which the media did). When he was reluctant to call his "sister", then it confirmed that he was a scammer. Anyway, this just shows Shawn's genuine commitment to make sure his fans aren't scammed.
