The new owners only officially gained full control of the team about two weeks ago. Will be interesting to see what happens, beginning this off-season. Would love to see an Adley/Westburg extension. Always hard to get a Boras client to sign early, so I’m less hopeful about a Gunnar Henderson or Jackson Holliday extension. Maybe Westburg ends up wanting to sign a money now deal given he’s experiencing a months long injury. Any injury like that would make a guy consider taking his money now, knowing their future health is never guaranteed
Bullpens can be turned around quickly so how O's bullpen looks right now isn't necessarily how it will look in October. Keep in mind what happened just a year ago. Rangers were the first team to make the playoffs with more blown saves than saves but how did their bullpen do in the post season??
I don't think AJ understands. For starters, the new ownership group just officially took over a few weeks ago. Also, Gunnar is a Boras client. 0% chance to extend him. Doesn't matter how much they offer, he won't let his guys sign extensions. We already saw this play out with Soto in DC. The only exception I've ever seen was Jose Altuve earlier this year.
@@mikeplumer7687 how many were superstars though? I guess Strasburg was a borderline superstar, but when he signed his extension he never had a top 5 Cy Young finish. I know his 2nd contract he signed after testing the free agent market.
Anthony isn’t 100 mill at his age! Teams are realizing they are most often making a mistake signing a thirty year old to a ten year 100 mill contract. Not to mention in the next year or so he’ll be a full time dh. 2 years with a team option into the third and he stays. He has stated he wants to retire an O🎉🎉
10 years for $100 million? Only $10 million a year? That would be a steal. Even as he ages out of defense, $10 million a year for a power hitting DH would be great
Everyone hated on Jackson, saying he’s a bust after a week of at-bats. Now, everyone is eating their words, so the new thing is to compare him to someone they think is better. Just give it up.

Holiday is going to be great! I wonder if the O's will lock him in and never trade him... time will tell as he progresses in the MLB

Not true. Boras has signed 9 extensions since 2011. Not a lot but not never. Strasburg and Altuve were 2 of them

Not true by any means. At the end of the day the player makes the decision to sign or not. We’ve seen more than a few of his clients sign extensions

Santander is a 25 million a year guy. If the Orioles don't sign him long term, a team like Seattle would definitely be will to give him that money
One more high-leverage arm would've gone a long way like an Estevez
Did he really just say, I don’t understand why the Angelo’s family didn’t extend anyone 😂😂😂😂 tell me you don’t know the orioles without telling me
Right? Classic not from Baltimore line. "Camden yards is such a great park, and the fans are supportive. Why don't the Orioles spend money?"
hype train holliday meanwhile. jackson merrill coming thru cluth day in and day out.
And Jackson Merrill is older and in this 2nd stint Jackson is on pace to be 10x better than a shitty ass padres outfielder
