    Thank you for reviewing. These are the quads I am looking at. Praline is a basic colour scheme but Viseart is great quality so I am interested.

      Yes, the quality is so nice. I think I got a good look, just wish (as I said in the video) there was another matte - maybe something better for transition for lighter skin tones.

    I prefer more mattes also, that is what puts me off the ND Glam palette. I like some shimmer but ...... Thanks for sharing xox

    Charlotte Tilbury has a quad called The Sophiscate. Cool tones, more mattes. I have found Mac Omega single shadow works for me as a transition colour or to ground an eye look with more shimmers.

      Just took a look, looks like a nice basic palette. I have the Victoria Beckham that has that same kind of vibe with a little bit something different as it has a color that's like a shell pink.

    I love the colours! The look you created is really pretty on you. Can't wait to see the Lilas! Can't imagine a heat wave right now - we're in for snow tomorrow here in Canada. Thanks for the video!!

    I ordered this quad. I love the colors. I will however, use it with my viseart matte palette. I agree that other mattes are needed to go with this for a complete look. I have no problem dipping into my all matte palette in conjunction with this lovely palette.

    Thanks for the review, I look forward to your review of the second small palette - Lilas. By the way, english is not my native language, but I watch you without subtitles, very clear and calm speech. And one small wish - please change the mirror, its reverse side does not harmonize with your intelligent image. Otherwise, everything is very good, like and subscription)

      Thank you! It's tough to find the right mirror. Because my eyesight is so bad, I need an 8x - this one is two-sided and it "flashes" the camera, they camera in turn makes the entire image dark for a few seconds. So, I had to tape up the other side. I'll continue to look for another one though!

    These are just adorable - love the name, too! Thank you so much for your in-depth review. I highly recommend the Natasha Denona Camel palette, if you haven’t tried it already. The swatches and images online don’t do it justice! I do wish that one had a lighter matte shade for the brow bone, though.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 года назад +2

      I did buy the camel palette - like you, I felt I wanted a lighter matte shade. In the end, though, for some reason the tones just didn't sit exactly right for me. They weren't very flattering on me. But thanks for the suggestion!!

      @@TheHoodedLid yeah, it can be very difficult to get undertones just right - that goes for anything, I suppose. Once you find that sweet spot, though ...it’s magic! 💕 Have a lovely weekend!

    Anastasia do a lovely brow highlight pencil, one end matte, one end shimmer which is very subtle, you can do a nice highlight with either of the ends, I loved this look

  • @tanhome7
    @tanhome7 3 года назад

    I agree with you, one of those mid toned shimmers should’ve been a matte. Seems wonky but the look turned out really nice.

  • @christinacarroll4611

    You are not alone... the overabundance of shimmers in palettes is frustrating. I find myself curating my own palettes, which end up being 75% matte. I do think the colors look beautiful on you and it helps that Viseart satin/shimmers work well on maturing eye skin.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 года назад

    Never owned anything from Viseart, but heard good things. Worth it? I agree about the lack of mattes. Hard to create lots of different looks with mainly shimmers

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 года назад

      I do think everyone should experience a little Viseart. They work so well, and I think women with less than perfect skin will enjoy them. I don't have any of their larger palettes, but the "edit" palettes I think are a good deal.

  • @dianereiser6417

    They are so tiny, I’d probably drop that palette a hundred times. Pretty color stories.

    • @TheHoodedLid

      I seem to drop everything at some point. The packaging is cardboard, and I think offers more "cushion" than plastic, though.

    I had a brown once that seem to have a gray tone in it. It was my favorite ever. Never came across one like that again, but maybe I didn't look hard enough. I'm bummed out about the inner corner lightening being out of style. It's part of my hooded lid that still shows out. Can't afford to lose anymore real estate on my lids. So sad, so mad. My hood has a hood.

    • @TheHoodedLid

      You should do whatever works for you! I just think many people went a little overboard with it not understanding that it's really a technique, rather than "eye candy" if you know what I mean. For some people, this technique is really appropriate.

    • @MWall
      @MWall 3 года назад

      @@TheHoodedLid True for me it may not be bad because I only do a touch. What I hate more than anything is when someone does a video and puts highlighter on the tip of their nose. Then when they look in the camera, the look like Rudolph. I just don't get why they don't notice it. Like a little flashlight on the tip of their nose, lol

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 года назад +1

      @@MWall This is strange. I guess if you have a perfect nose tip, it's okay, if it's subtle. But I think what people don't understand is that it elongates the nose. So if you already have a long nose...it makes the nose look longer since the eye goes to the end of the nose (hope I'm getting this across). The eye meets points of reflection, they stand out naturally.

  • @Giannas1096

    Only one matte 🤨 Sometimes I think if I could, I would create my own eyeshadow palette with my own creamy wrinkle friendly formula. How hard can it be? My perfect palette would have at least 3 matte neutral shades; brow bone, medium and deepening. Then 2 satins; light and medium, and finally 1 sparkle for when I’m feeling special 😆
    I thought the ND camel palette was going to be my ideal everyday palette but it wasn’t even close.
    I think that visearts older palettes that were made in France were of very good quality but the theory palettes are not of the same quality. I have passed on all of mine.

    • @TheHoodedLid
      @TheHoodedLid  3 года назад +1

      I think your idea of a perfect palette is pretty good. I never tried the Theory palettes, so I can't compare. I like the "edit" and "petit pro" palettes, though.
