Thank you, that was a great review. I really got to hear what the amp sounded like without a whole bunch of special effects tossed on top of it. I'm getting one.
@@dimitris70 Be good to know... I'm actually selling this one. I'm paring down the number of amps I have. www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/leichhardt/guitars-amps/ibanez-tsa15w-tube-guitar-amplifier/1316245418
Thanks for doing this amp! Still have the combo after getting it half off a few years ago and not really knowing what I was getting but just that it was feature packed compared to everything else in that price range. Haven't been able to really use it properly yet to this day but getting back into playing and appreciate hearing what it can do.
Been considering getting this amp but so nice to hear it noodle free and no hyper overdrive, the way I play with a semi acoustic, mines a Gretsch 6120 so ideal demo for me. Many thanks, sounds great 👍
Hey Jonathan thanks for watching man really appreciate it. It's certainly a great amp perfect for home use in studio and you can do gigs with it too. Please subscribe and hit the notification bell for new videos every single week, see you soon!
Just saw this amp for sale used and funny enough when searching reviews yours came up-very good and honest. I'm looking for home volume levels, so I suppose this one maybe too loud with the lack of master volume. Love your work. cheers
Hey Carter, it's actually perfect for home. I use it for a student amp in lessons. The 5w switch is great. Really works well. Worth giving it a go I think. Plus it's well priced... Cheers Simon
I've been looking for more videos about this amp and this is by far the most down to earth one. I thinking about getting the combo version, my city's music store is giving it away for me on a bargain, But I'm still a little bit undeciced, what do you think about changing the valves? Many people say that it is a big improvement on the tone (It is already good but idk) A big thank you, I'm getting subscribed
Hi Lautaro, I've had this amp for about 8-9 years maybe? I think part of the vaule of it is getting the head version, not the combo as it allows to hook it up with a range of speakers. I've taken it to gigs where there is already a cab for example. The variety of ohm options makes that great. Re tubes, I just replaced them when they needed replacing. I appreciate 'the internet experts' will tell you that you MUST have new tubes, but I found they worked out just fine. All the guitars on this album were recorded with the Ibanez amp. They sound alright to me... soulmessengersau.bandcamp.com/album/dirty-soul - thanks for subbing! There are new videos every week. Cheers Simon
@@carolinehaf21 That's cool. I guess the advantage of the head is that it is so tiny! Good to know the combo has the same options. Thanks for watching - see you in another video soon. All the best, Simon
Thanks for this amazing demo the amp sounds lovely and pairs really well with that gibson es. I just got extremely lucky and I’m going to get one of these for free. I found two cabinets with 70’s goodmans speakers in them on the street last year. So I guess my lucky ass has got an amazing gig amp for free.
Hey vrieskip, thanks! I'm glad that you liked the video. What a score! The other thing about this amp that I should have mentioned ist that you can hook it up to pretty much any cab. It has 4, 8, 16 ohm outs!! So thanks for watching. btw there are heaps more gear videos/ lessons on my channel and at least 2 new ones every week, so subscribe and click the bell for a notification when they are published. Hey Patrick, thanks for watching. The cab is a Harley Benton 1*12 with a celestion vintage 30. However what you are hearing in the video here is the amp into a two notes captor X with a virtual cab.
Great vid dude! The tele sounds just beautiful! Just wondering after having the TSA for all the years you have, have you ever changed the tubes in it and if so does it need biasing? Reason for asking is I’ve just acquired one and can’t find any info on if it’s will need biasing. Cheers man!
Hey Jay, thanks for watching. I've had the amp for about 8 years (?) - I've had the tubes replaced once. This amp gets used 5 days a week for 3-5 good a day. Re biasing, I always trust the tech. I don't do repairs myself. Hope that helps, cheers Simon
Hey Renaud, the reverb is coming out of my 2notes captor X, it would be a spring reverb. And yes, I have a French name. I'm from Jersey in the channel islands and have lots of French relatives from Normandy and Brittany. Subscribe for regular lessons! All the best Simon
