Guro Gianfranco is by far the best at Panantukan... He also has an amazing system which makes learning the methods very easy and simple. We're fortunate to be an affiliate of MANONUDA. Thanks for the support, much love and peace!
Really proud of you Sakan and im really proud of Tom also. With your injury and the rule changes,i think you did an amazing job!! Great vid bro. Respect!
Yeah definitely! It was two days of getting smashed... I think I could be a professional martial arts dummy, haha. Spent a lot of time with Guro Gianfranco as well. He is a very sincere and honest person.
Really depends on the context. Sure you won't land a series like these shown in sparring, but they program certain triggers and instances where you can land a gunting, knee, headbutt, manipulation, underhook, lock or etc. This kind of fighting is great for street self-defense.
Sakan Lam Very good video! Thanks for sharing. Also, I think you're explanation of how it translates to "real resistance fighting " was spot on. I think people get confused when they watch the drills with the follow-up shots. In real time it will obviously be more of a one for one exchange, unless the first shot does the job. Linking the shots together to create muscle memory is important. imho. Kind of like boxing combinations, but it also exposes the possible effects of the strikes. Panatukan has saved my ass more than once.
Frank F Thanks for the support, my friend. Guro Gianfranco has a great way of isolating technique and then putting it together in both drilled and live scenarios!
exactly. also there isn't really any combat sport where what you practice with play out literally in a fight. if you can land one or two solid strikes in the combo that is the reality. also practicing will allow you to adjust and flow into something else as the situation calls for, it's a template.
In real street fights, you won't be able to apply most of what you trained on..regardless of style. As the great late Ed Parker said, "it is like learning a language, you become proficient in the grammar, sentence structure, composition etc. It is up to you to put it to use in which ever the situation calls for. It is up to you to compose and express your thoughts. Martial arts is, but a language of motion." That simple statement opened up the door for many innovations. And subsequently changed the way we viewed and approached the arts.
Awesome skill
Excellent FMA!! Been following you and Guro Gianfranco for awhile now. Keep up the good work! Peace!

This techniques look beautiful but i found them a little bit deceptive because, in reality, you won´t be able to apply them.
