Interesting that Joe 💙💙 brings a history book on every set no matter if the film is historical or contemporary and studies it throughout the day of filming. Also interesting that Yorgos briefly dances (30 seconds) at every rehearsal process to make the actors feel more comfortable on set. It’s obvious that Joe has great rapport with Yorgos. It must have been a lot fun to work on this movie. It’s no wonder Joe, Willem and Emily like to work on Yorgos movies because it’s more like fun than work. I can’t wait to see it when it comes to theaters in my area.🍿🎥
As much as certain folks continue to complain about "film is dead" or "cinema is dying" and I can't completely disagree with some of that . . . I'm very glad to be around at a time when Yorgos Lanthimos is also. I could say this about many other current filmmakers, but Yorgos seems to be the perfect example of a uniquely authentic creator. Influences or past inspirations are at times apparent, but genuinely doing his own thing at an immensely high level.
Shout out Yorgos being hip to guitar nerd Steve Vai !! I saw this Kinds yesterday and I cannot stop thinking about it it's so violent sexy and loaded with dark humor I can't wait to watch again
He seems totally ok, btw it is difficult to talk about art and performing, art can’t be explained so easily and to do it over and over again for the press is exhausting
@@Sonia-gm2qt I am excited to see these movies too. Joe seemed fine to me. His responses to the interview were thoughtful. He and Yorgos obviously have great rapport. It sounds like being in Yorgos’s movies are great fun! On a side note, I have noticed the media seems to show photos of Joe when he is not smiling. When you see all the photos of him from the appearance, there are ones where he is smiling. It’s like they are trying to create a sad person narrative about him.
If anyone asks you the softball question of what film people should see, the correct answer is always " the movie I'm here promoting". Jesus Christ, have the vaccines been this effective?
Joe has had a rough couple of years. But it seems he just wanted to be honest. This movie isn't the best one to introduce you to the director. Because of the Anthology aspect.
Great to see Joe and Yorgos together, fun pairing.
Really looking forward to seeing Joe in more movies or TV Shows
Looking forward to it! A new Yorgos film with Joe Alwyn in three different roles!
Joe is so pretty, wow😅
I love you, Yorgo❤❤❤ thank you for your work and for Emily❤❤❤
They seem to have good relationship, and joe seems happier after a long time

Can’t wait for kind of kindness and the brutalist!
(Off topic but Joe seems kinda off sometimes.. hope he’s ok and it’s just the jet lag)

Is the brutalist already film
@@BabyBecasue i didn’t assume that he wasn’t ok or depressed or anything like that .. I just said that he seemed a bit off maybe because of the jetlag
@@YorgosL1 yes last year, it will debut in Venice film festival if I remember

I think Yorgos is tired of the promotional tour.
It has to be exhausting to answer the same questions/tell the same anecdotes to a dozen different media outlets within a few weeks.
Call it what u want ❤
"yeah, Dogtooth...whatever..." 🤣

Is no one ever going to mention that Dogtooth is the same premise/ based of Castle of Purity(1973)?

steve vai
Joe is a good man
Yorgos seems to not like the interviewer lol
He just joking around😂
Taylor really dodged a bullet with this one. He seems like a ticking time bomb
And Joe dodged a liar and cheater. 😊
he is the one dodged a serial dater and cheater

@@missdancefan oh ok good point. My comment wasn't aimed at Joe so much as just in general I've seen people have trouble with this question recently.
No one would recommend Kinds of Kindness as the first film to get into Yorgos which is what the question specifically was ! So his answer was spot on.
