I don't see any sense of urgency among the fire brigade. They walk slowly, first discuss while enjoying a cup of coffee and wait until the fire breaks through the roof. A certificate of inability
They are so slow getting water onto the fire it always seems like they turn up to watch the structure get a good blaze going before water is used by which time the building is doomed
What I don't understand is what was the ariel ladders aiming for ? Was there propane exchange bottles on the side of the building is that why he missed the fire and get the outside of the building?

Wow, with all the petroleum products INSIDE the station, which could be thousands of quarts of oil plus other flammable materials, including TIRES, I'm not surprised at all who showed up. It looks like a "cluster fxxx" but oil and water doesn't mix so you have flaming oil flowing out and down the streets toward sewers. SO the extra support needed is justified for a short while. Not sure why it was so slow in getting knocked down. I'm guessing they don't train much on these kinds of fires.
Gosh that looks like an r600a fire, and you say what is an r600a fire? It's the new environmentally friendly freon there is nothing more than butane, a leak in the refrigeration line a tiny spark and the refrigerator explodes but it's good for the environment the old Freon was non-flammable. Now when you buy a new refrigerator if it says r600a do not purchase it or it will blow up and burn down your house. The automatic ice maker is the source of the spark. In the household r600a exploding refrigerators.
Well so far iv’e been watching a bloody circus, the fire tenders have been there more than ten minutes and they haven’t got a drop of water on the fire, they have all been walking around as though they don’t know what to do,plenty of water on the road by the tenders,I’ve watched this scenario so many times, they take ages to get the water on it,in general I know the fire service do a brilliant job,it just seems as though they go into slow motion. They have three small hoses on the fire and one is just pissing straight up nowhere near the fire but where’s the big stuff that will have some real affect,I’ve seen enough.
What a bunch of incompetent firefighters!!!!! They wait until the fire breaches the roof before putting any water on it. By that time the fire is ragging. Why didn't they get the aerial ladder truck putting water on it right away??? It's not until around 29 minutes in that they start fighting the fire from the air!!!! The sad thing is, I've seen ALOT of videos where the firefighters are taking their sweet time in starting to fight the fire. ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC!!!!!
@@brotakig1531 You sound like one of these Fire fighters... At least these guys put their real names on their comments, can't tell if yours is or not. Doesn't really mater now, The damage is done.
I want to know how they can see what the firefighters are doing with all that smoke? Instead of batching go work for your local fd then maybe you will understand. Arm chair firefighters are worse than arm chair quarterbacks
All these children saying it takes to long, there's usually one thing behind it all that can slow firefighting advances, its called Saftey. Ladder truck probably took to long cause, what do you know, POWERLINES EVERYWHERE, probably had to wait for electricity to be cut before that ladder could get anywhere near those lines White smoke usually means the start of a fire, or water being put on the fire which i saw well before if not around 10 mins into the video, what can you see that you really can't? Its a gas station, nobody knows what the flying hell is inside that building, so they must investigate before touching the building with a ounce of water, they risk killing several people not including firefighters if its god forbid a highly reactive chemical to water, this is what interior searches are for. Please do you reasearch and look into firefighting stuff, and shut your mouth armchair firefighters, thank you.
I was a volunteer firefighter for 12 years and a reserve firefighter for a big city for 8 years. We would roll up on a fire, pull booster reels and within 30 seconds we were putting the wet stuff on the red stuff. I clearly remember a gas station fire we responded to. As a matter of fact I was in the intersection, waiting for the light to change, when the gas station, next to the intersection, went up. I pulled off to the side of the road and waited for the trucks to get there. There was a police car, also in the intersection, when I was there, so I knew that he called it in to his dispatcher. An old truck pulled into the gas station. The driver opened the hood, and POOF!! The fire jumped from the truck to everywhere. Fire trucks took five minutes to get to the scene. We had the fire knocked down within a minute and completely out in five minutes. CSX, you sound like an 18 year old firefighter I encountered at the scene of a freeway accident. The accident was on the left shoulder of the freeway, the PD had the five lanes of the freeway closed down and the FD had both lanes of the service road blocked because their trucks were side by side. I walked up and politely asked the fire captain if one of the trucks could be moved so traffic could get through. At this point the 18 year old, condescendedly said "Sir, you just don't understand____" At which point, both me and the Captain shouted "STFU!!" to the firefighter. The Captain then told a different firefighter to move one of the trucks. Oh, and, by the way, CSX, you should watch videos of European and Japanese firefighters. They also attack fires within 30 seconds of arrival.
@@virgilhilts3924 uh…. They suck. Took forever to get water on the fire. Aerial operator looked like he’d never operated one before, ineffective flow, etc. like I said, you’re obviously not a seasoned FF if you need that answered.

Good training video on how NOT to fight a fire.
How so...?
Billions of dollars in fire fighting equipment and unable to put out a fire. What's going on here?
The sign out front says it all "SHELL" . . . and that's what these firemen left.

Luckily the man turned back at 27.22 or he would have been soaked by the ladder hose pointing in the wromg direction

Way to long to get the ladder truck up there Building could have been saved...
That is a fire that would respond well to a direct attack with interior hand lines

That station is closed, the price sign does not display a price. Still has pay phones.
Looks like an employee and maybe manager in the left corner of the screen. Idk
So slow setting up an aerial, took around 22 minutes, then another 7 minutes for water , a total of 29 minutes before any water on fire, pathetic...
Did all the NY city firefighters move to GA all of a sudden?
Somebody call the fire department!
a real fire department
I seriously wonder how some people can even figure out how to leave there house in the morning and find their way back home.
Glad it wasn’t a clickbait.

Pa isn't that bad. They need to come to NYC and get the training they need.
