    How refreshing to have found you! I love how honest, transparent and direct you are! I have watched MANY videos on Etsy.....you are one of the ONLY folks that is transparent about Etsy ads. Thank you for sharing about Etsy ads, for I do believe that organic traffic works, but marketing and advertising our products on Etsy helps immensely! Why do co's spend millions on ads during the Super Bowl....to gain customers! And daily on TV.....logic speaks. Question though....when you do use Etsy ads, are your ads for specific products in your shop or do you put your entire shop "on sale"? Thanks for the great info!! 😃

    Your videos have so much value, it's crazy.
    It's even crazier so many people rather click the clickbaity titles like "make $500/day on etsy with no money and no skills!" and then they come to fb forums a few months later crying how come they have no sales because they have 1000 listings ... of generic walmart-worthy items no one is clicking on.

    I'm new here- what are you selling in your business?
    I've been selling on Etsy since 2015 as an artist and I did all the things you mentioned here. I was doing very well from 2016-2019, then the pandemic happened and it seemed my own niche got discovered and overflowed with competition.
    Not a bad thing, it can be healthy competition, but it drove me to burn out my artistry. I'm now back working a day job at the moment to try to rediscover my love of art.
    I was so into my business, it became my personality, I didn't know who I was anymore and didn't do anything for myself, just the business. There is a point where you do have to step back and breathe if you are an artist hand making items daily. I used to make at least 50 items for fun a day, now I'm lucky if I can make 5 a day for fun.

      I am in the same boat, I dedicated everything I had to my store and from 2016-2019 my store did amazing. Supported my family with it. It has now tanked so much, I'm desperately looking for a job.

      I am sorry to hear this, yes unfortunately once people start hearing about the successes with selling online this is what happens to any marketplace not only in ecommerce but also other businesses like land buying, airbnb, saas, etc and the sharks start to come in and ruin all the fun for the OGs. It is either sink or swim. Adapt fast or fall off. If you are a true artist this is especially disheartening as this new era of etsy is changing and is not really for that merchant anymore unless your are willing to do what it takes to scale a competitive business.

    Hannah, thank you so much for this amazingly detailed video! As far as Etsy ads, do you recommend turning on ads for an item as soon as you list it or wait until you get a sale or two? My biggest problem is not knowing when to turn the ads on so I end up just turning them on for everything haha. I don’t have a lot to spend since my shop is fairly new so I’m running ads on all these listings with a very small budget😂
    I hope to get to a place where I can max out $1,000 per day! That would be amazing. Thanks in advance for your advice!

    • @EcomHannah
      @EcomHannah  Год назад +1

      Yes if your budget is low you could just turn on listings that are organically making your sales and getting the most views first. It will be normal in the beginning for them to not be profitable so worst thing you can do is turn them off after they only spend a few dollars.
