American cartoons of the 1950s and 60s introduced us to so many pieces of classical music. I listen to this and can still see Bugs Bunny dancing around the barber chair giving Elmer Fudd a hair cut. I'm not disparaging either the music or Jonathan's talent, just recalling childhood.
Yes!...Exactly, as a child it was one of my favorite episodes. Too funny, guess we're of a certain age, lol. I miss the good cartoons like that. A few years ago United Airlines used Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue as the background score. Even if it's commercialized in cartoons or advertisements at least some people will have gotten a taste of the sublime talent.
Great performance. Wonderful to listen to. Also wonderful to watch. The final visual presentation shows us how physically demanding playing pieces like this are.
As a die hard Aviation enthusiast who grew up watching Baby Einstein, this is my favorite classical piece. the montage of planes in On the Go with this music is just magical.
7:28 my favourite part of the musical work on the organ❤️❤️❤️ I love the tuba coming in on this part. It's the loudest stop and one of my favourites❤️❤️❤️
BravoJonathan. A wonderful piece beautifully played - as always. Thank you for sharing. Brilliant tour round the lovely church too. Thank you Tom. God bless you both. 😀
Today I'm reflecting on how often we've likely first encountered a piece of classical music via TV, movies, or commercials...When it's played as it was likely intended, it's deja vu quality is an ah-ha moment!
Que maravilla!! Siempre es un lujo poder escucharte!! La maestría con la que interpretas la pieza es verdaderamente admirable!! Bravo y gracias por este regalo!!👏👏😘😘
i love the pipe organ. there were a few in churches around my hometown, lancaster pa. there was also one at my college, ursinus. i think it was being repaired when i was there
Kudos to you! Performing an orchestral piece on such a challenging instrument is impressive, and it sounds fantastic. This reveals that instruments shouldn't be restricted to the music people assume they play. I aspire to reach your level of proficiency whenever I start to learn the organ. It appears tricky, almost like playing piano with both hands and feet. But when I think about it, it's not that different. I'm eager to start my practice!
Amazing! Can you please do the transcription of “ tutto cangia il ciel s’abbella “ ?🙏 It’s an amazing piece! There’re no organ transcription of the wonderful Guglielmo Tell’s finale, at least on RUclips.
Love it! One thing Tom, could you extend the quiet start a bit and fade in some room tone at the start? My AV system takes a moment to lock on to the digital output so I often miss the opening notes ☹️. Also it gives us a sense of the environment
The Barber of Seville is definitely my most favorite Rossini composition, and Jonathan Scott does it more than justice in his playing of it. One area of improvement that I can suggest is when almost any Scott Brothers video is recorded, it has its audio recorded at too low of a volume. Where other organists have their videos recorded with the audio level such that it needs to be turned down, the Scott Brothers have their recording volume turned down to the point where I've got my computer's output volume at 100% and it still is too soft. So, I'm asking them to turn up the volume and then let we listeners make a decision if we want to turn it down. We can turn things down, but beyond 100% we can't turn things up.
Genius registration. In love with the pipe organ for 65 years. The Scotts are awesome.

I just remember that 😁
Speaking of Bugs and Elmer: "Kill da wabbit! Kill da wabbit!" 🤣

Creo que todos lo asociamos a Bugs Bunny. Fue una forma hermosa de vincularnos de niños con la música erudita.
Grande interpretazione di un gigante della musica ROSSINI!
The "art of the registration", I love this video. Well done
This is why the organ is the king of the instruments
Bravo!
What a beautiful performance! Thank you. From South Africa
BRAVO!
Great music from Rossini and you are fantastic !
I liked organ music before seeing these videos, but playng such well known pieces on an organ takes it all to a completely different level. Bravo!

Doesn't seem fair on the rest of humanity that two brothers should have so much talent. 😀
There brains are not lazy like most of human
Aren't we lucky to have those brothers for the rest of humanity.

This is the only song I can not listen to and keep from laughing 😂, because of looney tunes rabbit of saville
Is the organ pipes on the front gold? Cuz they're shining, shimmering splendid
They are gilded pipes so yes its gold leaf
I still see Bugs Bunny conducting the orchestra whenever I hear this
♥
FUCK YEAH! Love this song
Jonatan с'играйте на органе "Little man" Sonni Bono в обработке Джеймса Ласта!!! Мелодия там очень красивая,и всеми любимая!! Александр Одессит
Where is this being played?
This song reminds me of rabbit of Seville and I can hear that wascwully wabbit singing every word
Play "Figaro"
Rossini loved a lot of food,
Wich ultimately proved fatal to him.
Greetings
это Моцарт?а пещера алмазного
Короля тоже Моцарт,хотя Григ?
А все остальные-тожеМоцарт?
If you don't get happy after this, there is something seriously wrong with you!
Not quite the same without the cartoon rabbit ;)
Excellent!! It is surreal this is available for free. This is what keeps me listening, though,as I can't pay on my own..
Bravo!
