It's so strange watching sales videos from America (I'm in the UK) you always have so much different odd stuff that I've never even seen before its so cool!!
Free shipping does nothing for your sales. People sort results by "lowest price + shipping" and buy that way. Charging exact shipping actually increased my sales because I no longer had to account for highest cost of shipping in my price making the item cheaper for people who lived in regions closer to me.
As a long time eBay buyer who just recently started my journey into reselling, I have never understood why people would charge anything other than the actual price (+possibly small “handling” fee, for supplies, if anything). It’s also my biggest frustration when searching products on Amazon. Unless it’s prime, why can’t I sort by lowest price+shipping like on eBay?! My only issue with starting as a reseller on eBay was initially not having a kitchen scale that would work well enough for the products I wanted to start listing. Now that I have one of those, I can finally get started and know that the shipping cost is going to be accurate.
Ahhhh welcome back to what I always liked about your videos! Happy, informative, and lots of tips that I never really considered. Good job and thank you!
I love the way you get us thinking outside the box when sourcing for items. I have some funny old political pins that I have accumulated over the years. I was thinking what was going to do with them😊
Great video! You’re officially back now. I always called the W name “washerbocker” 😂 it’s actually Vek-ter-bach which I’m sure you’ve already heard. Old habits die hard as I still catch myself saying washerbocker 😂
My wife found a game from the 1960s called hands up harry. The box it was in was in hideous shape... but it sold for 125 dollars on Ebay. Vintage game. Cost us zero dollars. Not even gas because we found it while on our way to where we were already going.
I sold a David Yurman Necklace for $900. It had to be authenticated. I knew it was real because it had belonged to my aunt but it still made me nervous. It only took one day once it got to authenticator and it was on way to buyer. Very easy process.
I live in Oregon and because of the way population is distributed in the US, most of my sales are to the East side of our country. Because of this, I do not do free shipping at all. I have a bunch of Mark Roberts fairies from an estate that I am handling. They are all limited edition and each comes with a COA. They have a fairly decent resale value. I have sold 4 in the past week.
Free shipping is actually worse for your business because eBay takes a percentage of the sale. They are taking a percentage of your factored in shipping costs. If you just figure out how much your shipping is and add a couple bucks for buffer and you choose your shipping amount when it sells if the shipping was 9.00 and you charged 10.50 you made an extra 1.50 because eBay doesn’t take any of your shipping. That’s better than them taking the percentage off your “free shipping”
I have put off listing a vintage coach purse which is in excellent condition. I am 99.9% sure its authentic but haven't any experience with the Authenticity program either. Damn, I have passed on Burberry coats a couple of times probably because I'm in Tucson and can't imagine needing a coat to begin with. 😂🥵🌵🥵 Blessings K.T.
I listed a Simpsons vtg light up flashing clock for £12 + batteries, it got snapped up straight away, well too cheap saw them for £25 on comps, rookie mistake 😂 it was a freebie so I can’t complain ! 🙏🏼🌟💖🕊🇬🇧

Interesting! Thanks so much for watching!
I definitely agree, sometimes my 'I don't even have to look this up' is BAD advice! Live and learn! My brass sat for a while but is selling now.
Yeah! I do that to myself sometimes! :)

And more FAIR for the buyers who live closer to you as well! I’ve always thought that. Why penalize them by making them pay the higher shipping fees!

I've learned over time that there's a collector for everything :)
Great finds, thanks for sharing, happy 4th!! 💙❤
Thank you! Happy 4th!

Right?! Old habits die hard!
I love the manifestation experience! I’m a listener to Esther Hicks/Abraham and am a believer ❤️
Yes! So am I!!

I do both free shipping and calculated. Mostly, I do free shipping on lower weight items that fall within the 4-8 oz range.
Good idea!

Whoa!! That's fantastic!!

Nice! I just got the jacket authenticated :)

Oregon girl here!
Hey @morphamorpha6194, Thanks so much for watching! I've decided to turn off free shipping
Interesting about the Burberry jacket 🧥
I was really happy it sold
I always like star 🌟 🌟 jewelry.
Thank you! Thank you!
I’ve been selling a lot of mugs. They’re my bread and butter.
Nice! I need to get the ones I haven't listed put up!
how much is shipping these days on a mug?
@@Shelby-o3l it varies.

Yeah. I've come to this conclusion too

I totally get that! I'm glad it passed! :)
I'm in Phx but I buy coats for travel for sure.
The white Buffalo was tinely.
@carontheroad, Right??

I've done that before too! :)
Do you sell jewelry?
I do!
Free shipping never helped my sales, not to mention it’s not free, you just raise your price to cover it. I don’t think buyers are fooled by that.
True
☺️🥰
Hahaha! Of all the things I've manifested, I can honestly say it never crossed my mind to manifest a platypus! 😂
Right?! It's fun to play with it! My kiddo was doubting it, so I said, "Pick anything and I bet we'll find it"
