Hi just wanted to say I’m a dyslexic adult attempting to learn a new language and this video has been really helpful in giving me ideas in how to replicate the orton-gillingham education I was given as a child.
Hello! I love your teacher sheet and the materials you show the students. As others have said, it looks very different than what I received in my OG training. Is it possible to buy or share this?
I just finished the training this past week. I’m enjoying watching your video. Do you have e the template you are using available? I teach 2nd grade. Thank you.
Yes, I realized it later too. This video was before I had a mic and was trying to make the sound louder so it could be heard. Definitely, make sure the schwa isn’t modeled for students. 😅
Sorry for the delay! Here's the link to the blending board: www.etsy.com/listing/243731184/18-double-blending-board-with-blue-stain?click_key=831c2fa8569ff25a2c9856cb9bb6f843a7fcf502%3A243731184&click_sum=44bf7fef&ref=related-1&frs=1&sts=1
The OG Lesson plan template and beginning scope and sequence are both in the Free Resource Library! There are not individual lessons but you can use that instructional routine with all the phonemes. readingrev.com/resource-library
Sorry we missed this comment. You can buy the Reading Rev program but it is geared for 3rd grade and beyond. You can get the scope and sequence starting at the very beginning on the Reading Rev Website in the Free Resource library. readingrev.com/resource-library
@@debreale5236 it's a word but not something kindergarteners would know or should know. I always ask students if it's a word we know. If it's not something I expect they should know, I quickly tell them it is a word but it's a word for big kids, one that we don't need to worry about right now.
Know better, do better. In the moment, I didn’t think it was a real word. It’s impossible to be perfect all the time… even for our students! There isn’t a way for me to edit this video. I’m planning on remaking this video in the future but until then, please extend grace. 😊
As an old CALT, seeing this video thrilled my heart. Here's to Anna Gillingham, Sally Childs, Aylett Cox and the people they inspired!
Thanks for your kind words... What a great thought that those amazing pioneers would be proud!

Well done!!!

Good lesson. Cad is a real word. It's old fashioned, not used much, but it means a boy or man who does not act in a respectful manner.
Thanks... I have learned the meaning of this word since making this video. 😯

I would love your cheat sheet, I will pay. Thanks
You can get the cheat sheet in Reading Rev's Free Resource Library. readingrev.com/resource-library
Did you notice that while you didn’t want to add a short u sound to “d”, you consistently added it to the sound of the letter “g”, saying “g says gu”.
Good reminder for us all. ❤
I heard it also when you said the sound of Dd

hello, I would like to see more sharing in your workbook
Where did you get your cheat sheet? I didn't get that with my training!
QI was wondering the same thing. I really could use that!
@@heathercornelius85 Me too! It's looks so much easier than the one we got in training!
@@heathercornelius85 Did you ever get a reply?

Love! Where did you get your CLEAR blending board?

The new sound wasn’t clipped. I hear g/a
where can I get these lesson plans?

What does a magic c letter mean?
It comes from the Handwriting without tears program.
A letter that is written by starting with a C shape (e.g. c, o, a, g, d, q)
Where do we buy these lessons? Is the a book we can purchase?

Where can I get these materials?!
Look in the video description! :)
Good video, well paced and explained, but cad is a real word, however old fashioned.
G is a stop letter- it's doesn't say GUH as stated here in the video.
Nice presentation, but you made a mistake, since “cad” is definitely a word!
I noticed that too. Well done though. Where can we get the helpful sheet you have for making sure nothing is left out of the lesson?
Oops! Autocorrect got me. Well done!
If you say 'cad' is real word, how to explain 'cad' to your Kindergarten group?

Not known to young students typically…
Actually, CAD is a word. A CAD is a man who behaves dishonorably.
I’m sorry, but ‘cad’ is a real word, and not all that uncommon. Please be sure not to give your students bad information.
