Assalamu Alaikum, i cannot log in after the installation for the first time, then i watched this video & tried to recover my superlibrarian account but i Don't remember category code. I tried with category code STA but it doesn’t work. Can you help me regarding how to get category code to recover superlibrarian account.
haven't try this but someone comment these steps, if someone is unable to remember the Branch Code and Category Code,
$ sudo mysql -u koha-library -p
SELECT koha_database;
SELECT branchcode, categorycode, COUNT(branchcode) AS NumberEnrolled FROM borrowers
WHERE YEAR(borrowers.dateenrolled) = YEAR(NOW()) GROUP BY branchcode, categorycode;

Thank you so much for effective video. I am a librarian. I would like to ask about following issue.
There are ten departments in our university. Can koha longin provide a user name and password for each institution?
When they login their own user name and password in koha software, select their department. Each department has the same item types (Books, Theses, palm-leaves---etc).
They want to have their separate cataloguing input into their Books, Theses, Palm-leave----etc.
When they login by department, they only want the item types that belong to them to appear in item type field (942)( Books, theses and palm-leaves). It does not want to display item types of other departments.
I created, all department item types appear in Item type field.
So I would like to know if and how to create them in Koha Software.

Dear Sir, Thanks for this tutorial. I lost my credentials and trying to make super librarian via the script. Now, I am getting error like --categorycode STA doesnt not exist. Any tips ?
Is it better to restart the Ubuntu and Koha installation ?

Please comments of this video, you will find the solution. If you couldn't find anything you can reinstall web-installer, use this URL on your web browser, change the localhost ip and port according to yours 127.0.0.1:8001/cgi-bin/koha/installer/install.pl

Apology for late response. It's install in etc folder where you can find koha-conf.xml Please let me know what actually you are looking for.
Sir I forgot my sudo su terminal password not koha super librarian admin password.
sudo passwd root
Use above command in terminal and it will show you password then it will ask you to change it, do so.

Sir i have followed step by step installation process till end after installation koha was not logging then i found this video but facing same issue in koha not logging in ! So kindly tell me how can i login staff interface in koha ?
If it is new installation, repeat the process. It might be from instance creating. Or you if you upgraded an old version to new then you must a valid patron category code and library code.
I need to recover ours....ived accidentally deleted patrons list..and lost admin account... Cant log in..

If you might forget the password or not accepting the old credentials then you can create new super librarian in terminal, if you remember the library code and category code. To create a super librarian account run these commands one by one in terminal; change red values accordingly.
sudo su
export PERL5LIB="/usr/share/koha/lib"
export KOHA_CONF="/etc/koha/sites/library/koha-conf.xml"
cd /usr/share/koha/bin/devel/
./create_superlibrarian.pl --userid furrukh --password Furrukh123 --branchcode RAFLIMTS --categorycode LIS --cardnumber 12911
Sir In our Library there is no such library management system, so how can create an user id and password to get started?
😀 I would say get system first, then forget the user id and password and then watch this video.

Sir, I want to know how to live any koha Library? Server integration...
Koha is already web OPAC to run it online around the world, you need IPV4 in other word one real or static IP connect and just plug the real IP into LAN instead of local dynamic IP. That's. Koha will run globally on the same IP. To make this IP a web-address, add that IP in your web C panel.
Please contact your IT or Networking team, they might guide you about the cost of real IP. If they already have some real or static IP addresses they might assigned to you one. Even a port of already available IP would be enough.
Sir i tried to create a superlibrarian to log in and i have as an error in Terminal that invalid parameter passed and STA is invalid.
I follow your Koha installation tutorial and when you started creating basic settings my koha was completely different and now i basically cannot log in.
Can you help?
Don't worry, you just need to recall the patron category code. It may not be STA. The information you provide must be correct like branch code, patron category code, etc.
Secondly, it might be difference of Koha version. The current version is 20.11. I have discussed Koha installation at 19.11, & 20.05 but that method also work for 20.11 and all current stable versions.

You can always get info like "patron category code" or others needed using MySQL (and phpmyadmin if you wish) searching for the table (AFAIK) "categories". Good luck and thanks again to @RAFLIMTS !!!
