I am a 12 year old girl and I am really excited bout christmas because I just love this cozy and aesthetic moment to do things with your family , especially opening the christmas gifts, it feels so nice to make some candles on and just chill or go outside and play with snow and do things like baking cookies decorating the christmas tree, etc.. hope y'all have a perfect christmas! Put the handle of your bag over the faucet to hold it open with the bag itself sitting in the sink and peel directly into the bag. When you are done you can just lift the bag with all the peeling already inside and toss it! My hubby came up with that idea and it works perfectly! Occasionally if you are a messy peeler you may have to pick up a stray piece that missed the bag but the majority of it is ready to just toss. 😉
A thought on the photos....when I update photos, I store the old photos in the frame as well. New photo up front and older photos behind. Eliminates the need to find storage and keeps them safe. My mom always did this with our school photos. Hope that helps. Happy cleaning!!!

I would get the xl vacuum bags from Hefty and vacuum seal them to protect that way you could store anywhere and they would be protected from dust etc. I bought some recently on Amazon to store seasonal pillows and blankets and they worked great.

Hi Jessi, I really thought there was something wrong with me because these past two years I have not been in the mood for Christmas. Hearing it from you I feel a little better that I’m not alone. It really does have to do with all the stress of making sure everything is done and as perfect as can be within one month. Of course seeing my kids open there presents on Christmas Day makes me happy and I can breathe again lol. We never had large prints growing up...but the other sizes, my mom always put the new picture on top of the old picture and leave the pictures in there for as long as she can, and then when she'd add a picture to the frame, she could go through and see the progression.

Im still in my 20s and I love Christmas and the Christmas season in general but we don’t decorate at all lol we use to but not anymore. also my kids are 9 and 7 and they know the whole Santa deal so last year we didn’t even put up a tree 😬 we still give them plenty of gifts and make it special for them. hubby and I both come from big families which makes Christmas season that much more fun for the kids
So I haven't been in the Christmas spirit for years then my daughter moved out early this year and gosh how I miss the Christmas song's she would sings and her being so excited about the holidays.
My kids are older, well grown, so over the years, the little Christmas spirit I had had dwindled. My youngest was actually born on Christmas, which made it even more stressful because I had to do something for both. I only put up a tree and the bare minimum, but nothing goes up at my house until after Thanksgiving! Skipping over Thanksgiving is a huge pet peeve of mine!

I love Christmas. We are decorated already. But I say if decorating stresses you out, then don’t! It’s ok to just put up a tree! Take the pressure away to do what everyone else does. We don’t do a lot of gifts for the rest of the fam because we just can’t afford to. Something small and simple, and the rest is for the kids. 😁

I love the holiday season, but I think it’s because we have established simplicity in our home. We do a tree & some decorations and things, but I have teenagers that really do have a lot. We buy clothes & a pair of shoes. They get to choose 3 items (with a dollar limit attached) & that’s it. I refuse to drive myself crazy running around and doing everything basically leading up to 1 day. It’s much more enjoyable as a parent and not as much pressure. Christmas Eve we tend to make a few cookies and watch a holiday movie. It’s what works for us!

You aren’t alone at all but make your own traditions. Kids remember time spent together not presents. It’s not about how many presents they get but more about the memories made. Cookies, movies, going to see lights ect. ♥️
Hello, I decorate the day after Thanksgiving. I decorate for my daughter. I believe if she was older I wouldn’t decorate. For now I want her to have nice memories.
I love holidays in general because I love making them special for my kids and even my husband lol. Christmas is my favorite! Is it stressful? Yes! But it’s totally worth it in my opinion. The memories we make are irreplaceable. I have 4 year old twins, 16 & 18 year old daughters and a 23 year old stepson. Every year since they were little their friends tell me they wish their moms did these things. They always look so proud when those things are said so that’s my motivation. Lol because it is hard and stressful. I just hope they look back one day when they have kids of their own and truly understand and appreciate it all. To me, it’s worth every bit of it. I just want you to know you’re not alone with feeling the stress but as mamas we always keep it going one way or another. 😅 But anyway, the joy that comes from seeing my kids faces light up when I decorate is what motivates me and makes me excited to do it. It doesn’t matter to me how tired I am doing it all. ❤
Now that my kids are older, I flat out tell them I hate Xmas. It’s nothing but work for me - and we have large families so it’s a LOT of work. I also do Xmas cookies which has grown each year, host Xmas Eve and Xmas morning. Thanksgiving is my favorite. Let’s just get together and eat 🤣

I always start Christmas shopping super early, like in September. I buy a little at a time so it’s not so much to do all at once. We also decorate on Halloween… we don’t celebrate Halloween so we do Christmas decorating instead! I think by spreading it all out over a couple of months it helps it not be so overwhelming. Gift buying is the hardest 😬

I actually feel good about christmas this year. No one is getting gifts for extended family just kids only and we are going to do white elephant instead. What a weight lifted off of me. We also are just meeting up for desserts and having our own dinners at our own homes so that's a load off too. I am much happier about christmas this year. Maybe adopt some of what we are doing to take some pressure off and then you can feel better about the season :)
That does sound so much better! The prob for us is we always travel around Christmas but I did finally stand up a few years ago and say that we won’t come on Christmas anymore. That’s for us at home.
My dishes were doing the same, and I called our appliance person and they came out suggested the filter clean like you did but also told me if I’m using pods and not liquid to just throw the pod in the bottom off the dishwasher and not to put it in the little door so when it does the pre wash it will cover the dishes in sudds and help soften any foods before the initial wash!
Oh thank you very much for telling me this. It’s funny because it hasn’t been releasing the pod sometimes but completing the cycle. I have noticed that so I’ve been just throwing it in like that! Hahaha
I bought your rug earlier this year. I had to order online. I went to my account and found it. It is no longer available. My hubby says it is northwestern 😂 I love it. My Christmas spirt is blah too. I am in the health field and getting off around holidays is non existent anymore. I actually work every holiday and my family goes out of town. I'm a bit bitter, lol. I miss my parents (both passed) and it's not like it use to be. Most of the gifting falls on me along with decorating (stored in the attic).

I have to listen to music when I clean to. I think maybe get storage containers store those pictures I’m like those huge bags to vacuum bags I forgot what they are called and put them in storage containers maybe store under beds or garage or storage building and do like you said give them to children! I get it. It’s a ton of work, but it makes me happy. I love everything Christmas. It helps that I’m a huge planner, and organize everything so I don’t get overwhelmed.
When I get new kids pics like 8x10 I keep the older ones in the frame behind the new ones. When there's too many to fit then I place them in the kids memory box. I even do this with our family Christmas card pics. It's nice to look back & see how we've changed.
So needed this motivation today and lovely family photo! Also tip for kitty, put a little cat nip on the scratch may motivate her to scratch it. Just sprinkle a little over it. Also I would keep spraying her when you see her scratch your rug. Lets her know it’s not allowed. We had our Cat since it was a baby and I was able to train ours to only scratch his scratcher box and scratching post. Hope Kitty does better. 😊

I think that Christmas decoration shoulg start at the beginig of december. Never understand those who start at first of november. In Poland we usually start decorate after six oh december. I think its ok.
Some people just really love it and get excited and also they like to have their decor out more than 3-4 weeks. It’s understandable it’s just not for me. 🙂
I love your Christmas music you added it. I like Christmas but it is stressful and its not like it use to be when I was younger and we had everyone still here for the holidays. I have a daughter who is a pre teen so shes not much into the festivities like when she was little but I am pregnant with twins that are due in late spring, so I hope next year some of the magic will return for all of us.

I used to hate (more like extreme anxiety) Christmas time because of all the things that you listed (also because I have 2 kids with november birthdays, how am I supposed to get you THE BEST THING EVER for your birthday and then the following month get you another best thing ever?!?! IMPOSSIBLE) it's going to sound extreme and it felt a little extreme the first Christmas that I did this, but I told my kids that birthdays are for them and Christmas is for the family. So my kids don't get presents (from me) on Christmas and I explained to the rest of my family that I won't be getting anyone gifts. It really helped hammer in the concept that Christmas and holidays in general are for spending time with friends and family and not about the gift. I get them stocking things but it's extremely minimal. I live near Branson, MO and I just really love the Christmas spirit that they have there so I book a long vacation for the kiddos and I there and we just do things that I think bring the holiday spirit to life. And when we go and spend time with family, all the pressure is off because I didn't spend $8 billion dollars on things they won't use. ALSO, I really hate the crash that happens after all the gifts have been opened. Everyone is so excited to open the gifts and then once they're all opened, they're like, now what?? So we just avoid that all together by watching movies, making cookies, hot chocolate, playing games, coloring, swimming at the hotel pool HAHAHA, Christmas lights and music... you know the drill. It gives me the energy to go the extra mile with decorating and coordinating movies and holiday treats because I'm not using it to go shopping and gift wrapping. I have a 10, 6, and 5yr old so take my advice with a grain of salt.
Since my kids are now adults the excitement is not there like it once was. However, I really enjoy my decor, but it wears me out putting it up. I have started putting it out a little earlier than normal just to stretch it out over a longer period of time so I don't feel as rushed. Hallmark christmas movies always helps to get me in the mood. I peel my potatoes over some paper towel. For my pictures that are like 8 x 10 or smaller sized I put them in photo albums. Anything larger, you can try finding artwork portfolios books that will hold them. I have gotten mine at hobby lobby when they are on sale. They are back with the actual painting supplies and canvas section. It at least keeps them organized.
I love Christmas, but it comes after Thanksgiving. So I don’t do anything Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. It’s a whole different holiday. 🙂Love your channel!!
I like to celebrate the holidays as they come---I dont decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving---usually the day after and I take them down after New Years---My kids --are now 21 so Christmas isn't so big for us anymore--they work and buy what they want so its hard to enjoy getting stuff for them---We do enjoy spending the day at home--sleeping in then opening gifts and having breakfast and usually a late lunch early supper---

I love Christmas and decorating early. I do it early bc I can take my time if i want and honestly my favorite part is making our big cocoa bar bc me and my kids do it together and include lots of toppings and cookies. but im with you on feeling overwhelmed. Have you ever seen that movie Bad Mom's Christmas? That movie is like my anthem for christmas! It hits the nail on the head with all the mom stuff at Christmas. If you havent watched it, its a must!

When I got my kitty, I was so afraid she would scratch my further and so I got a few of the scratching boards, put some catnip on it and she has never scratched anything else in my house. I do think in the beginning, I may have picked her up and put her on it. Funny…my mom peeled potatoes in the sink as well 🤪 You will just have to store the pictures in the attic I think…cover them all around with cardboard? Hope Hanky was ok for trick or treating!
Because I host Thanksgiving, I do not decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I bought a portfolio holder from Hobby lobby to store my large portraits.
Hey Jessi Christine, as far as Christmas we actually keep it very simple. I don't do a lot of decor. We put up our tree Thanksgiving day. I do a few decor pieces around the living room but I don't go all out. Also we don't buy gifts, instead we do acts of service such as last year I helped my husband clean out the garage. That was my gift to him. As far others, we just do acts of service for them instead of buying gifts. We mainly buy gifts cards for birthdays and that's it. Also can you tell me what Christmas songs you used in this video? Do you get them from epidemic sounds?
I do really like the scrub daddy paste for my electric stove in particular. A little goes a LONG way and it polishes surfaces really nicely. The one downside I have found is that it can leave residue so you have to rinse and wash it off very well. I think you are better off sticking to your current methods! I am 100% obsessed with Taylor Swift since folklore and evermore came out, and Midnights is beautiful. Her music seems to speak to me when I need it the most!

I love Christmas. We are decorated already. But I say if decorating stresses you out, then don’t! It’s ok to just put up a tree! Take the pressure away to do what everyone else does. We don’t do a lot of gifts for the rest of the fam because we just can’t afford to. Something small and simple, and the rest is for the kids. 😁

I love the holiday season, but I think it’s because we have established simplicity in our home. We do a tree & some decorations and things, but I have teenagers that really do have a lot. We buy clothes & a pair of shoes. They get to choose 3 items (with a dollar limit attached) & that’s it. I refuse to drive myself crazy running around and doing everything basically leading up to 1 day. It’s much more enjoyable as a parent and not as much pressure. Christmas Eve we tend to make a few cookies and watch a holiday movie. It’s what works for us!

You aren’t alone at all but make your own traditions. Kids remember time spent together not presents. It’s not about how many presents they get but more about the memories made. Cookies, movies, going to see lights ect. ♥️
Hello, I decorate the day after Thanksgiving. I decorate for my daughter. I believe if she was older I wouldn’t decorate. For now I want her to have nice memories.
I love holidays in general because I love making them special for my kids and even my husband lol. Christmas is my favorite! Is it stressful? Yes! But it’s totally worth it in my opinion. The memories we make are irreplaceable. I have 4 year old twins, 16 & 18 year old daughters and a 23 year old stepson. Every year since they were little their friends tell me they wish their moms did these things. They always look so proud when those things are said so that’s my motivation. Lol because it is hard and stressful. I just hope they look back one day when they have kids of their own and truly understand and appreciate it all. To me, it’s worth every bit of it. I just want you to know you’re not alone with feeling the stress but as mamas we always keep it going one way or another. 😅 But anyway, the joy that comes from seeing my kids faces light up when I decorate is what motivates me and makes me excited to do it. It doesn’t matter to me how tired I am doing it all. ❤
Now that my kids are older, I flat out tell them I hate Xmas. It’s nothing but work for me - and we have large families so it’s a LOT of work. I also do Xmas cookies which has grown each year, host Xmas Eve and Xmas morning. Thanksgiving is my favorite. Let’s just get together and eat 🤣

I always start Christmas shopping super early, like in September. I buy a little at a time so it’s not so much to do all at once. We also decorate on Halloween… we don’t celebrate Halloween so we do Christmas decorating instead! I think by spreading it all out over a couple of months it helps it not be so overwhelming. Gift buying is the hardest 😬

I actually feel good about christmas this year. No one is getting gifts for extended family just kids only and we are going to do white elephant instead. What a weight lifted off of me. We also are just meeting up for desserts and having our own dinners at our own homes so that's a load off too. I am much happier about christmas this year. Maybe adopt some of what we are doing to take some pressure off and then you can feel better about the season :)
That does sound so much better! The prob for us is we always travel around Christmas but I did finally stand up a few years ago and say that we won’t come on Christmas anymore. That’s for us at home.
My dishes were doing the same, and I called our appliance person and they came out suggested the filter clean like you did but also told me if I’m using pods and not liquid to just throw the pod in the bottom off the dishwasher and not to put it in the little door so when it does the pre wash it will cover the dishes in sudds and help soften any foods before the initial wash!
Oh thank you very much for telling me this. It’s funny because it hasn’t been releasing the pod sometimes but completing the cycle. I have noticed that so I’ve been just throwing it in like that! Hahaha
I bought your rug earlier this year. I had to order online. I went to my account and found it. It is no longer available. My hubby says it is northwestern 😂 I love it. My Christmas spirt is blah too. I am in the health field and getting off around holidays is non existent anymore. I actually work every holiday and my family goes out of town. I'm a bit bitter, lol. I miss my parents (both passed) and it's not like it use to be. Most of the gifting falls on me along with decorating (stored in the attic).
Love this video! I clean like you and think about germs to! I don’t know if it’s my anxiety or my ADHD. I agree with you on Christmas it always falls on us women and then we go overboard. I have to listen to music when I clean to. I think maybe get storage containers store those pictures I’m like those huge bags to vacuum bags I forgot what they are called and put them in storage containers maybe store under beds or garage or storage building and do like you said give them to children! When I get new kids pics like 8x10 I keep the older ones in the frame behind the new ones. When there's too many to fit then I place them in the kids memory box. I even do this with our family Christmas card pics. It's nice to look back & see how we've changed.

So needed this motivation today and lovely family photo! Also tip for kitty, put a little cat nip on the scratch may motivate her to scratch it. Just sprinkle a little over it. Also I would keep spraying her when you see her scratch your rug. Lets her know it’s not allowed. We had our Cat since it was a baby and I was able to train ours to only scratch his scratcher box and scratching post. Hope Kitty does better. 😊

I think that Christmas decoration shoulg start at the beginig of december. Never understand those who start at first of november. In Poland we usually start decorate after six oh december. I think its ok.
Some people just really love it and get excited and also they like to have their decor out more than 3-4 weeks. It’s understandable it’s just not for me. 🙂

I love your Christmas music you added it. I like Christmas but it is stressful and its not like it use to be when I was younger and we had everyone still here for the holidays. I have a daughter who is a pre teen so shes not much into the festivities like when she was little but I am pregnant with twins that are due in late spring, so I hope next year some of the magic will return for all of us.

I used to hate (more like extreme anxiety) Christmas time because of all the things that you listed (also because I have 2 kids with november birthdays, how am I supposed to get you THE BEST THING EVER for your birthday and then the following month get you another best thing ever?!?! IMPOSSIBLE) it's going to sound extreme and it felt a little extreme the first Christmas that I did this, but I told my kids that birthdays are for them and Christmas is for the family. So my kids don't get presents (from me) on Christmas and I explained to the rest of my family that I won't be getting anyone gifts. It really helped hammer in the concept that Christmas and holidays in general are for spending time with friends and family and not about the gift. I get them stocking things but it's extremely minimal. I live near Branson, MO and I just really love the Christmas spirit that they have there so I book a long vacation for the kiddos and I there and we just do things that I think bring the holiday spirit to life. And when we go and spend time with family, all the pressure is off because I didn't spend $8 billion dollars on things they won't use. ALSO, I really hate the crash that happens after all the gifts have been opened. Everyone is so excited to open the gifts and then once they're all opened, they're like, now what?? So we just avoid that all together by watching movies, making cookies, hot chocolate, playing games, coloring, swimming at the hotel pool HAHAHA, Christmas lights and music... you know the drill. It gives me the energy to go the extra mile with decorating and coordinating movies and holiday treats because I'm not using it to go shopping and gift wrapping. I have a 10, 6, and 5yr old so take my advice with a grain of salt.
I like the idea of experiencing things. You will all have so many wonderful memories.
And now I put a roast with the fixings on my grocery list. 😋 It looked delicious!! Love the family pics!

Since my kids are now adults the excitement is not there like it once was. However, I really enjoy my decor, but it wears me out putting it up. I have started putting it out a little earlier than normal just to stretch it out over a longer period of time so I don't feel as rushed. Hallmark christmas movies always helps to get me in the mood. I peel my potatoes over some paper towel. For my pictures that are like 8 x 10 or smaller sized I put them in photo albums. Anything larger, you can try finding artwork portfolios books that will hold them. I have gotten mine at hobby lobby when they are on sale. They are back with the actual painting supplies and canvas section. It at least keeps them organized.
These aren’t like paper pictures tho they are a framed canvas. So they are basically a large piece of art. That’s why it’s so Hard 😭
I love Christmas, but it comes after Thanksgiving. So I don’t do anything Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving. It’s a whole different holiday. 🙂Love your channel!!

I like to celebrate the holidays as they come---I dont decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving---usually the day after and I take them down after New Years---My kids --are now 21 so Christmas isn't so big for us anymore--they work and buy what they want so its hard to enjoy getting stuff for them---We do enjoy spending the day at home--sleeping in then opening gifts and having breakfast and usually a late lunch early supper---

I love Christmas and decorating early. I do it early bc I can take my time if i want and honestly my favorite part is making our big cocoa bar bc me and my kids do it together and include lots of toppings and cookies. but im with you on feeling overwhelmed. Have you ever seen that movie Bad Mom's Christmas? That movie is like my anthem for christmas! It hits the nail on the head with all the mom stuff at Christmas. If you havent watched it, its a must!

Hi Jessi…great video as always! When I got my kitty, I was so afraid she would scratch my further and so I got a few of the scratching boards, put some catnip on it and she has never scratched anything else in my house. I do think in the beginning, I may have picked her up and put her on it.

Because I host Thanksgiving, I do not decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving. I bought a portfolio holder from Hobby lobby to store my large portraits.
That’s always how I’ve done it too until RUclips came along and then I got caught up in doing it early but I’m back to doing it on my own time!
Hey Jessi Christine, as far as Christmas we actually keep it very simple. I don't do a lot of decor. We put up our tree Thanksgiving day. I do a few decor pieces around the living room but I don't go all out.
Also we don't buy gifts, instead we do acts of service such as last year I helped my husband clean out the garage. That was my gift to him. As far others, we just do acts of service for them instead of buying gifts. We mainly buy gifts cards for birthdays and that's it. Also can you tell me what Christmas songs you used in this video? Do you get them from epidemic sounds?

I do really like the scrub daddy paste for my electric stove in particular. A little goes a LONG way and it polishes surfaces really nicely. The one downside I have found is that it can leave residue so you have to rinse and wash it off very well. I think you are better off sticking to your current methods!
