      I wanted to ask you if you really like the ride with that narrower front wheel, as compared to a 48 Sporty.
      You're not going to get the handling/comfort, compared to the 48.

      Man i just recently bought my first bike and was a 72 love it man got plenty of speed for me. Im not a 70 mph rider, if your cruising at 55 its great and not going on long trips

    6'2" floating around 210lbs, I love my 2016 72. Just need some fwd controls and maybe some longer handlebars and I feel like I'd be set.

    I Love my 72! I''m 5'11 and 208 and my little Purple Dragon loves it! I'm a former US Marine infantry Sgt, and I'm all about old school style. Light, FAST, mean, beautiful! I have a tall sissy bar with a pad in the back, and helped out passengers with two thin hippies at different times on the road in Hawaii--and everybody is crazy about this bike!

    The 72 is great in and around town. Long rides are a no go. I'm 6ft and 240, and I always feel like I'm too big for the bike. I love the way it feels though. I added Vance and hines straight shot exhaust, a mustang solo seat, and I moved the handlebars forward. ... love riding it.... thinking about getting the 4.5 gal tank or just upgrading to street bob (bc i do long trips, bigger gas tank, six gear, bigger front and rear tires)..... Dont know yet.. we will see....great review

      Thanks for watching Sergeant Coy. Yes, I agree. The '72 for me THAT day was best of show. Reminded me of the little chicken hawk off of the old Foghorn Leghorn cartoons. lol Small in stature, BIG attitude.

      I'm 6ft 230 and feel great on my 06 xl1200l! Of course I added 12" mini's and with the forward controls it's awsome! 4.5g tank let's me cruise on 2-3hr rides no problemo.

    I haven't had the chance to ride one, but I did see one sitting at the local dealership, and really liked what I saw, but 2 gallon tank? Whaaaaaaaat?!
    I guess it's WONDERFUL for putting around town, or on a short ride across a county or 2, but that tank isn't going to get the job done, if you do any sort of serious distance. Which is a real shame. Hopefully they'll improve that sometime, because it really does look amazing.

    Cette moto est GÉNIAL tout simplement, légère, puissante, souple, que du bonheur, si si et n'écoutez pas les "mauvaises langue", après quels modifications comme le réservoir pour plus d'autonomie, et une selle bi-place pour plus de confort pour "madame", elle est super ! bonne route à tous

    Just bought one of these. A “Lucky Green” 2013 with 9,300 miles. Stock except for a Vance & Hines air cleaner and a pair of short shot mufflers. Love it!!

    I been really thinking bout the 72. Might go test one out nxt month. You know Robert Robb has one and did a tank swap on his. Just a sharp looking bike and seems to ride good according to you. Thanks for the review.

    • @Surpluzz
      @Surpluzz  10 лет назад +1

      Your welcome Steven Hearron and thanks for watching! Robert Robb is one of the reasons I was so excited about this ride. I love what he has done to his. It's a scaled down cooler (maybe lol) version of my '14 Street Bob. Keep me posted on what you decide!

      Surpluzz Several weeks ago the Harley demo truck came to Paris Tx. I got to ride the new Lowrider. They wouldnt let me remove that little cusion on the seat. I was cramped but enjoyed it nonetheless. I didnt like the mid mount controls. They dnt make those with fwd controls which is unfortunate. They didnt bring the 72 either! But when they come back next year I'll go again and ride more bikes and hopefully the 72. Maybe itll be warmer too. It was barely 60 that day. A bit to chilly for me to be riding. I had to watch your video again. Itll hold me over til i get to ride the ol 72 myself.

    • @Surpluzz
      @Surpluzz  10 лет назад +1

      Steven Hearron Lol, glad you enjoyed it. I have yet to ride the Lowrider, hopefully soon, it's pretty cool. I've already got the itch to ride mine but it's just too darn cold.

      +Surpluzz agree 100%! I'm a beginner and i got the 48 one week after i got the 72 and im so in love with it. Worth mentioning that im only 5'5 ft and this fits me perfectly.

    Every sportster I been on I feel like I am too big or too tall for it. I have only been on old shovelheads with the shifter on the wrong side and that freaked n me a out. Maybe these new ones are better with the shifter on the left and forward controls. I have had ten Harley's over the last fifty years but no sportsters.

    Would you recommend this as a first motorcycle for a 5”8. 230lbs man?

  • @RabidHedgehog
    @RabidHedgehog 10 лет назад +1

    That almost sounds like how my Sportster likes to run. I have rode may a sporty and mine seems angry with the world vs. the others and takes off a lot better. Even with loaded saddle bags and my wife as a passenger ol' Reba will run up to 110 even climbing a hill. (have not gone any faster on the highway for fear of a wondering Smokey)

    • @Surpluzz
      @Surpluzz  10 лет назад +1

      Lol I hear ya there! I was super impressed with that 72. If it were a full size (due to my full frame) it would probably be in my future.

    The looks of the bike is great but why do they put such a small tank on it? If you enjoy riding this bike you don't want to fill up the tank every 3-4 hour of riding.(Just an example)If you were riding with a group they would ditch you soon enough because they got sick of stopping all the time at a gas station hehe
