Wow!! Ang ganda dyan !How long is The walk ? We are seniors kasi na but Love hangin’out with Nature ... How is The parking ? Safe ba to live The car for days ? Kasi if we were to Go there susulitin ko ang stay because of The pagod in The trail ... salivating naman ako sa steak dinner n’yo ! LOL!!
Walk is approx 20-30mins depends kung madami stops. Walang parking lot talaga but dun nila kami pinapark sa house ng relative nila which is sobrang lapit lang sa starting point ng trail. And i think it’s safer and dun talaga nila pinapark mga guest.
making fire is easier if you have ready made tinder (a must item in your survival kit). the tinder is made of cotton balls and vaseline. rub vaseline in the cotton balls individually, (do not saturate the balls, just enough to make it wet). make as much pieces as you want and place the balls in a ziplock bag. light your tinder either with a lighter or ferrocerium rod (again a must in your survival kit). to be able to swim in cold water (river water is usually cold) use a short or long sleeve swim shirt made of neoprene (decathlon has them). it can also be used when swimming at night in the beach (yes, i do snorkeling at night, sometimes spear fishing at night since fish also sleep at night- they house in the corals). another tip in the water- use a snorkeling vest for safety. the snorkeling vest is deflated (perfect for travel). if for any reason you feel tired while snorkeling, just blow through the intake/exhaust valve then air will come in and you’ll float. there were many times i would go to remote islands and the bangka youre riding is just the local kind without safety equipment. well, you have your own :) anyway, also have a sleeping bag ready for the both of you if the weather turns cold, the sleeping bag is a must camp item even if its summer in case it turns out cold :)
